I have heard that someone named Alberuni wrote about the Panjab (this was long before the birth of Guru Nanak Dev ji). Has anyone read this? Can you share your knowledge on the topic?
I have searched and not been able to find the account online. Can anyone also help source it?

Alburini lived when India was still ruled by Hindus. He travelled all over North India and wrote in detail of how India was back then. It would be interesting to read his account.

His book on India is called Kitab al-Hind. A good translation is Alberuni's India translated by Dr Edward C. Sachau. It's a pretty old translation though, and there are probably newer ones available.

theres also an old chinese buddhist from way back who travelled through panjab and into india.
