Can’t say I have ever heard that. They do say don’t just treat it as geet for it contains Brahmgyan. But we won’t appreciate the depths of the words until someone with higher insights explains the subtle hints contained within the words. Most just read and sing over them.

Do you feel drawn to one particular persons teaching you have heard who you feel will show me the path? If you do , then take instructions from them and then just do the practical. Try not to look at every teachers preaching. This is very hard to do. I’m still fighting the urge myself to not listen to others, because I can spend hours listening but not doing. Give one teacher an opportunity to guide you for a while and see how you get on. Don’t just collect gyan from all because when simran starts gyan needs to be forgotten and if you have too much teaching in your head it just makes going inwards more difficult. Listen to enough to keep yourself motivated on the path. I didn’t appreciate these wise words when I heard them first years ago. I wanted more and more.... i believe you have spoken to a few now, start homing in on one to guide and help you. All I’m saying is don’t get trapped in all the gyan gathering. When you look back you may realise you wasted more time collecting that than doing the practical. Rest who am I to tell you what is right or wrong for you. When I look at myself this is the mistake I’m beginning to see. It’s like quick sand that is very difficult to escape. Keep a control now on yourself if you can. I am not in the least bit trying to discourage you, just trying to warn you because I see myself in your posts. All the Gurmukhs are satkarjog, choose wisely friend.

So what do you both suggest, shall I keep on walking my path without any particular teacher among these. Keep on picking tits and tats from here and there with SGGS as my everything as sukhpreet says.

Guys, you really don't want to fall in this entrapment. The Mind is too easy to tempt into different directions. Grabbing tips from x,y and z will only make the mind race and prevent it form stabilizing. One's daily conduct has to be done with a steady mind. How you go about in your day reflects how easily you can go into sehaj and steadiness in simran. Keep it simple, have faith and be prepared to give your matt at all times. Jumping around with a monkey mind, going from x,y, z will only weaken your hold over the mann. You must have complete faith in the EK that you decide to follow. No faith, means no progress.

Glad you paid attention to some older posts. ਜਬ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵਉ ॥ Jab bẖagaṯ karahi sanṯ mandlī ṯinĥ mil har gāva▫o. When the galaxy of Saints worship the Lord in devotion, I join them, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ਕਰਉ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਵਉ ॥੩॥ Kara▫o namaskār bẖagaṯ jan ḏẖūr mukẖ lāva▫o. ||3|| I bow in reverence to the humble devotees, and apply the dust of their feet to my face. ||3|| Here, one is to walk and tread on the path that the sant's themeselves have walked. This is meaning of pangti "kara-o namashkar bhagat jan, dhur mukh lava-o" . SIt and do bhagti with them, but then you will need to move on and go further. They are there to guide you and know you're the pardesi from dharamsala.. It's an avastha, but at this avastha one also has opportunity to get Aatmic gyan from certain points in deep simran.

Gurfateh Veerji, This video is more like a commercialised and exaggerated form of Surti Travel. All abhiyasis feel their surti travelling above into Akash, sometimes floating slowly and other times very speedily launching off and travel to different devloks as lucky veerji and hisservant veerji has mentioned on the forum many times ( you can read some old threads) .. There, they get different experiences, like few sit and do simran and others hear music/ kirtan etc. This happens to them almost every night. This isn't OBE, Rather this is Sikhi. It must be a beautiful feeling OBE Isn't sikhi. Internet is full of OBE experiences which are mostly crappy. I heard in a katha recently that if our Mann develops the taste of these divine experiences once, it will love ❤them so much that it will urge you to sit in Naam all the time and forget the cheaper tastes of maya But sachkhand is still far off for us yet... It's also called Begampura in Bani

Grand Conversation between twins inside the womb: Baby 1: And you, you believe in life after birth? Baby 2: Absolutely. It’s obvious that life after birth exist. We are here to become stronger and to get ready for Whatever awaits us next. Baby 1: This is absurd. There is nothing after birth! What would life look like outside the womb? Baby 2: Well, there are many stories about the other side. I’ve heard there is a blaze of light there, an intense and profound feeling of joy with deep emotions, thousands of things to live for… For example, I’ve heard that we’ll eat with our mouth, there. Baby 1: That's silly. We have an umbilical cord and that is how we eat. Everyone knows that we don’t use our mouth to eat! And, on the top of it, no one has ever come back from the other world… Those stories are all coming from naïve people. Life just ends at birth. Period. That’s the way it is and we must accept it. Baby 2: Alright, then allow me to think differently. That's for sure, I have no idea what life after birth looks like, and I can’t prove anything to you. But I like to believe, that in the next world, we’ll be able to see our mother and that she will take care of us. Baby 1: “Mother”? You mean that you believe in ‘Mother’? Oh! So where is she? Baby 2: Everywhere, don’t you see it! She is everywhere, all around us. We are part of her and it's thanks to her that we are living right now. Without her, we wouldn’t be here. Baby 1: This is ridiculous! I’ve never seen any mother so it’s obvious that she doesn’t exist. Baby 2: I don’t agree, that’s your way of seeing things. Because sometimes when everything quiets down a little bit, we can hear her sing. We can feel her hugging our world. I’m pretty sure that our life will start after birth. Read it a second time by changing some words.... Change the word BIRTH to DEATH WOMB to WORLD MOTHER to GOD... you will find a mystery unveiling... :D
