Mooorakh replied:
It's a humble request to please maintain quality over quantity in your content so that the level of this forum doesn't get degraded each day.. who are 'we' to grant wishes... Hindu mythology- Geeta and all those people there talk about main, me, I... Not just anybody can be called Gurudev whatsoever.
They may have it far to reach TU , Tera... ... Why are we heading behind??
-
Please stop making negative requests.
Try to be if not much, but a bit broadminded, moreover, think twice or as many times as required to be sure that you fully understand what is being said, before being negative.
For you are quite in a haste in judging.
Who are you to judge?
With what authority?
How do you even dare to say to maintain quality over quantity, when that is not the case?
Why don´t you apply your own words on yourself, before being baseless judgemental?
You might say, you are just giving your opinions, but even then, they are negative anyway and out of place, with almost nothing to do with what is expressed.
This only shows your limitedness.
Though you call yourself mooorakh, and try to show you are humble, but yet you behave very egoistically with your such statetements.
* Well going back to your post above, if you can not grasp the real message in those words, let me clarify it to you:
When Ravi Shankar says: The ultimate Truth is a beautiful Light, of which we are all a part.
So, what is wrong with these words?
In this respect, does not the Bani say: Sabh meh Jot, Jot hae soee. This means, His Light is in all, and Himself is the Light.
Words may defer in both statements, but the meaning is the same in them., where we are told that, that ultimate Truth, is Light, Jot.
Light has no caste, color, creed, zaat, paat, gender, nationality...... So in which way is it wrong what he has stated.
Then your next negative statement of Geeta, hindu mythology, and all other people.... that is only a portrait of your wild imagination, for no one is remotely mentioning it, neither pointing it.
This is one of your problems, you imagine/see things, that exist only in your imagination, so relax cool down.
Concentrate only on what is being said, and comment on that only, do not bring those things which are not even mentioned, for as said, thay exist at that moment only in your imagination.
For your third negative comment: who are we to grant wishes....
Again by being in haste to judge, you have failed to see the words he is saying, for he is saying, when we realize we are a part of that ultimate Truth/Light....means we become one with that Light, then we shed away all our limitedness/negativity, for we have become one with that Truth without any distinction, and as such, that Truth continues giving blessings to all and upon all, for all beings are His.
It is our realization of being one with Him through bhakti, not by mere words, nor by imagination, does anyone become one with that Light. So you see, by being in haste to judge, you miss the real points.
We moorakhs, may divide and confine that Eternal and limitless Supreme Truth within the 4 walls of our petty mind, yet in no way do we do diminish the greatness of that Supreme Truth, rather we have surely fattened our ahankar, our ignorance, our moorakhta ....
This is real degrading, and not singing the praises of that Truth/Light/Jot.
I am not concerned at all who this Ravi Shankar is, or what his achievements are, neither I am interested to know, but that much I will definetely tell you, if soemthing said by anyone is similar to Gurbani and it may inspire anyone to move forward towards Waheguru, through Gurbani,I shall surely share those inspiring words with the sangat here and wherever needed.
If his disciples call him gurudev, so what? He maybe their guru....but that does not imply he is guru of all, just as if someone is called for example Satnam, that person does not become SATNAM, it is by bhakti and His grace that one has that realization, which is a very different thing of what you are saying, so please once again, do not bring any of your such baseless judgements.
If you can not upgrade yourself and become positive, at least stop, and do not degrade anybody to your negative level with such baseless posts as seen above.

New year/decade! Want to hit it right with diet, plans, training, skills development, spiritual growth, economic growth, discipline, learning and networking.
Here's a big middle finger (in advance!) to all the individuals, organisations and cultures that will try and act (unsuccessfully) like jealous restricting bitches to my plans. Screw you and watch me fly.

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant."
- Robert StevensonNote: This beautiful quotation above, took me towards another beautiful point, which is that, we too should not be judgemental about our daily life, for there is hardly much we can do as per our pralabdh karam; but yes, we should be attentive and ask ourselves about many seeds of Waheguru´s Naam, have we planted today in the soil of our minds.
For it is the seeds of His name alone, which we shall carry along with us, at our departure time from this earthly plane.
