This foolish person does not realize it is not what you say it is how you say something that counts. There was no need to compare India with the USA on this issue. It does appear as though this person is implying some kind of competition and it is so repulsive to see the way he/she responded so quicky with comments regarding the achievements of his fellow Indians. They say 'empty vessels make most noise' and here we have a good example. Nothing ever embarrasses them ever because they have no shame or self respect. If they did have any shame would they allow women being raped on such a scale? Would they have the world's dirtiest and filthiest slums in their country? When I was in Calcutta someone said the poor are poor because of their bad karams in previous births. I know there are number of small gurdwaras organized this way and they work very well. You find you can do walking simran in the grounds that surround these places. I went to one just recently and the sangat there was entirely different than the normal sangat you see in the other gurdwaras. They were much quieter there and no chatting was allowed in the langar hall.

Where do you propose we look for these 'deep thinkers' you keep mentioning in your post? The sikh religion does not comprise deep thinkers because its people are not strong enough about their own convictions in the Guru. In other words they have no confidence in the Guru or themselves. They question everything the Guru says so, how can they be fully grounded in who or what they believe? They are not firmly rooted and that is why the religion is taking a direction which is totally unpredictable and confusing.
