Sant Ji mentions Israel/Jews in a video of theirs - how the Jewish people made a nation for themselves. I saw it not too long ago but I'm having trouble locating it. If anyone knows which video it is I would be grateful if you could post it here.

I got some triphala and various churans on a trip to Punjab. Generally it seemed good for gut health, but I found it to be very astrigent. I would probably take half a teaspoon every other day or every two days as you said.

There are two different versions. One is Buddha Dal and the one you want is the Hazoori version.

I haven't watched the video (yet), but I'd be sceptical to believe what he says. It's well known he's a bit of a vegi fascist and that he has an agenda.
Jhatka and some of the other controversial things, which I should add are only controversial because of some of the attitudes that crept into the panth, are pretty much accepted across the board, even by those who feel it goes against their own specific maryada. Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji themselves weren't against this even if they did promote vegetarianism. Having said that I do agree that jhatka and eating maas is only for a certain section of the panth.
Just because he doesn't agree with it doesn't make it bullshit/interpolation/manmat. Plenty of other Mahapurkhs have quoted Suraj Prakash and they haven't said anything of the sort.

Just exactly how badmaash are you? Lol only joking, I've done it in the past too, partly why I mentioned it. See for me I would never be able to use it for Bhagti/Simran, I wouldn't be able to concentrate at all. Albeit I can see how some people would be able to. I'd also probably eventually burst out laughing at the fact that I'm repeating the same thing baar baar (or something along those lines lol).
The thing is though, it's not mandatory to use it, nobody has to. And those who use it genuinely, do so knowing its effects, knowing how to handle it, and knowing how to use it correctly.
You're right in saying that it is susceptible to abuse. That's why there's a Maryada for it. Real Nihangs don't use it all day everyday. A point to note is that the amounts of cannabis used differ - those who use it everyday surely do not use loads otherwise they would be on the outskirts of Swarg 24/7.
Use of Sukha is not for everyday aam janta. Or regular Sikh. However, some kattarvadi's could certainly use a glass or two of it, they need to loosen up.
Lastly, we shouldn't interfere in Samparda Maryada. They are not trying to get the whole Panth to start using it.
-Edit- cough syrup isn't a good comparison, because it's both physically AND psychologically addictive. Cannabis can be addictive too but usually only psychologically. Codiene is strictly controlled in the West for the most part.

    Phenji, we meet again lol,
While now it may have become more of a ritual, that doesn't make it any less of a reason to stop its use. This is how traditions get lost in time - eventually it will just become 'sagan' or completely forgotten about. People who use Sukha properly don't use it to get stoned and do aish. Yes there are many who do but asli kamaai vale Nihang Singhs do not.
You should also look at the definiton of drug. The word has many bad connotations these days but that doesn't make it so. Cannabis is actually a very valuable drug when used correctly. As for it aiding in concentration, well I would say this would most likely vary among people. You would need to try it and know it's effects on you personally before making this judgement.
As someone who wouldn't ever personally use it, I still support those who continue this Puratan tradition.

While it probably does have pain killing properties they don't actually use it for that. They use it for its stimulant effect bro. Big misconception is that it makes you doped out and slow, quite the opposite. Still very addictive if not used correctly.

Demeaning The Sikh Tradition: A Study of Mina Poetry
"Dr. Simarjit Singh’s work looks into the origin and history of the mina sect and places it in the broader context of Sectarian developments within early Sikhism. It discourses in detail the role played by self – claimed Gurus of Mina Sect especially Prithi Chand, Miharban and Harji. The author points out that the chief motive of Minas was to establish their own line of guruship. For it, they had devised various ways and means and tried their best to outwit the Sikh Gurus. The study brings to light the social, religious and political outlook the Minas in comparison to the main line of Sikhism. To establish themselves and moreover to propagate their ideals, the Mina gurus had churned out a volume of poetry using the name of ‘Nanak’ which posed a serious threat to the original spirit of Gurbani. The works produced by the Mina gurus which were available in the form of manuscripts, are being presented in this volume for the first time."

There is a rabab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's still preserved at Anandpur Sahib. It is more towards the style of the one played by Somjit Dasgupta in the video above.
The above rabab of Guru Sahib was used by an australian Sikh (convert) to reproduce a replica.

    I don't either - there's so much about Raag Kirtan that I don't know, it's a much bigger topic than I thought.
Also I should have worded my eariler comment properly....the Afghani Rabaab wasn't traditionally used for Kirtan although today it is. Seems to be the most popular.
From what I was told, it's rare to come across anyone who's learnt the two types of Rabaab I mentioned. Maybe with the exception of Namdharis - thank God they have preserved this Vidya.
In the video, I think it's still the Afghani one. It's has a very distinct 'Arabi' sound to it (in Kirtan it doesn't sound as obvious). My ears aren't trained but if you listen carefully, I think, I think it sounds the same as this...notice the Arabi vibe it has:

Guru ji is talking about the importance of surrendering to Vaheguru. He continues his point that if the mind is not surrendered nothing works (including mantar and yantars because their purpose is the very same). If a person is not willing to surrender his ego, pride, lust, etc and seek refuge in god, nothing will work.
Mantar are important in stilling the mind. By your logic, we need not read Gurbani or jap Gur-mantar.

I'm asking you again mr health discussion. where the word "Guru" is, in the original gurbani sentence.

The above question still stands. Healthy discussion.....

I have given the Guru Sahib's definition of God as in the Mool Mantar. I am asking you to use science and logic to prove that definition of God as in the Mool Mantar.

I don't know about them. I'm still waiting for answers from you for my previous questions. Don't use others as a shield for your own shortcomings.

I don't care about your understanding. You have already distorted Gurbani at least 3 times on this forum explicitly and have been exposed.
Quote directly from Gurbani where it says the above point number 1.

Because most people cant be arsed with your usual drivel. You keep harping on about science but its apparent you're about as good at science as Ranjit Singh is at controlling his bowels.
We say Sciences is limited to the material and Gurbani transcends all that. You wanted proof and we gave you loads from Gurbani about miracles happening but apparently since science says no, you'll just say Gurbani is false.
We've asked 10 times now, FIND 1 SOURCE pre-1800, anything that says all the things you do. You claim to have core sikhi down so show us.
Nice, so you cherry picked stuff to prove your point. Did you forget Gurbani also says that God is antarjami (all knowing) that's not possible as a universal consciousness is unscientific as atoms aren't life. Guru Ji also says God gives his Bhagats whatever they want, He's benevolent. The God you keep going on about is impersonal and doesn't care one way or another as Nature is impersonal and thus unable to be benevolent at all, survival of anything else is unimportant to it as it has no sense of self.
The God of Guru Nanak Dev Ji has personal and impersonal guns, so stop ignoring one for the other because it deletes your entire premise.
I've read Stephen Hawking's work, he explicitly points out that God for him=universe. The universe created itself, it doesn't need a creator. Gurbani says that God created this universe and countless others i.e it wasn't self creating.
shocking, as you hate Hindus yet the Vedas contain EVERYTHING that Spinoza talks about. But "muh hindus bad bad" right?
Before I dissect this "article" (I wouldn't even call it this as its nonsense written by someone with no grasp of either science or basic Gurmat) Congraulations on posting something from Ranjit Singh's own page  you claimed here you don't follow him but you seem to link his crap left, right and centre. I got to ask, has you initiated you into his jatha with mouth to mouth simran? or have you guys gone a bit further?  I just hope he managed to teach you to control your bowels better than he can.
Someone should pick up a physics book once in a while. Everything at the core might be the same, but on larger scales they can be completely different, just like Brahman can expand into infinite beings and each of them are wearing different guises (thus "different") but at the core are the same. Properties change depending on what you adapt
I almost choked on my taco over this. What a load of nonsense, and the fact that you buy into it really makes me chuckle. You want to talk about laws of nature that's fine. So tell me why Guru Nanak Dev Ji didn't sit down and write down all these theories then and there, He could have. You're gonna say "oh cuz the superficial masses wouldn't accept him etc etc" but here's the little snag in your stupid logic. That form of thought was already prevalent in India, that Nature=God=Laws of Nature, it had many forms, namely Ājīvika and Charvaka. Read them, they pretty much say what you're saying. Reincarnation is wrong etc etc.
What more crap, let's take some of these "laws" as you guys call them.  Morality falls into this, these laws have no right or wrong yet Gurmat always does. By your logic it would be ok to force yourself on a women if it was for the progression of the species? By your own logic, yes. What law in the universe says that God (or as you dudes say "nature") laughs and takes a saroop to give darshan to Bhagat Naamdev Ji. What law says that a cow that's been dead for ages comes back to life and God himself gives Darshan to Bhagat NaamDev Ji, what law of science says that Man can float on water without aid like Bhagat Kabir Ji (all these are some of the countless examples in Gurbani). Science is restricted but God isn't bound by it, he can make and break them as he wishes.
No one says that, Science is the most plausible explanation of a certain event, its an uncertainty (that's the very definition of the scientific principle). Gurbani is absolute, For a  Sikh Gurbani will always be above science, not on the same level.
no it isn't. That goes against the very definition of what religion is.
In that exact text Guru Gobind Singh Ji has a conversation with Waheguru, so tell me how an unfathomable God who's inaccessible is talking to him.
