  3. Fateh Ji As I said your acts should make statements. Everybody has a right to their own logics and there is no need for justification especially when nobody is ready to understand. With this I close my participation in this thread. Best Regards
  4. Why is Islam Forum locked? Anyways a 16 yrs old Christain asked me this question. Please discuss how this question be replied... In terms of religious/spiritual common sense it is pretty clear that God is one - IK ONKAR, but why is it there? The mool mantar is the basic root prayer of Sikhism, so it is crystal clear that this is the foundation of the belief system within Sikhism. Similar to the shahadah in Islam: There is no God but God himself and Muhammad is his messenger. The first part enforces the base of Islam, tawheed - strict monotheism, where God has no partners and God is everywhere [this is given more depth with the 99 names of Allah]. So I feel it is the same with Sikhism - the beginning of the mool mantar we see the same monotheism simply promoted, with IK ONKAR, then it goes on to promote the depth of this statement with the rest of this statement. Then Guruji carries this on by talking of the greatness of this ik onkar and how you can find enlightenment with this ik onkar.

  8. You're like an angel. As everyone knows, angels dwell in heaven. They were desribed as shining ones wearing white and the idea that they have wings is believed as well. Guardian angels are the ones that many people think are dead loved ones who try to protect the living friends or family they have on Earth. They usually had blonde hair and maybe brown with flawless appearance and sweet dispositions. They were cheerful, hopefull, selfless, loving, and kind. Angels are the one mystical creature that a majority of people truly believe in. Encounters with angels are poping up all over the world and reassuring people's beliefs in angels. Are you serious ?

  11. Fateh Insaaf Singh Ji Can you do any better than making useless provocating statements? Who does not want to live life in peace and harmony ? Can you tell me, why Sikhs have forgotten and forgiven Nadir Shah, Baber, Aurangzeb, Jahangir etc.? We can still fight with Muslims to take "revenge" for the brutal atrocities, they commiited on Sikh some 400-500 years ago. If we talk on rational terms, the "revenge" has already been taken with the elimination of Prime Minister of India during those times. There were unilimited number of people involved, who committed crimes against Sikhs, can we bring to justice all of them ? Can you recollect the names of the senapaties, during the times of Nadir Shah, Baber, Aurangzeb, Jahangir who instructed the killings of thousands of Sikhs. The "revenge" for injustice has been taken, Sir. Its over. That time is gone. I think, we can only learn from our mistakes. What happend to Sikhs was most unfortunate. I think we should now have to move ahead with times. The world today is severely dealing with Terrorism and Sikhs are already being associated with of Islamic Militancy. You do nothing when Turbans were banned in France. What kind of reformist are you, Sir ? By our mistakes I mean, We have not taken care of making the world familiar with what Sikhism is all about. Even, today in all World Online Dictionaries, the meaning of Sikhs is a mere "Warrior Sect of Hindus", Sir, what are you doing about amending the all these online dictionaries. Have you even bothered to write a letter to make these amendments, naah !! We are least bothered to enlighten the world about Sikhism. We rather love to get involved in childish bickerings. I think, the need is to bring awareness to world about the faschinating philosophy of Sikhism. Need is to go beyond the protected realims of Sikh community and penetrate into non-Sikhs/Western Community and let them know what Sikhism is all about. Need is to spread the wonderful message of Sikhism of Love, Compassion, Sacrifice and Universal Brotherhood to every part of planet. But, instead, people like you and me are busy propagating Sikhism on the lines of Islamic fundamentalism and then when we are recognised worldwide as blood hounding Terrorists, we are shocked. We have to give advertisements in the newspapers so that these westerners can differentiate who is a Muslim and who a Sikh. What a joke we Sikhs have made ourselves to be? Life has to move on, the times have changed, Sikhs now have to change their mindsets if they have to avoid being recognised or branded as Terrorists. Best Regards
  12. Fateh Ji Trouble can be with your UPS also. Most of the CPUs today have Fins installed, so fan is just an additional support. You can also run scandisk at command prompt to see if there is some FAT problem or some lost clusters may be creating trouble. Best Regards
  13. Fateh Ji I was reading some interesting articles by S. Gurbaksh Singh... make an interesting reading... Sikhism Founded Sikhism is a Universal world Faith… a message for all men. This is amply illustrated in the writings of the Gurus. Sikhs must cease to think of their faith as just another good religion and must begin to think of Sikhism being the religion for this New Age. This apt description of Sikhism was stated by the Rev. H.L. Bradshaw of the U.S.A. in the Sikh Review, Calcutta. Many others have made similar observations about the Sikh faith, some of which are cited in this book, Chapter IV. The holy scriptures in which the Sikhs believe is known as Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It has the distinction of having been written by the Gurus themselves, whereas in the cases of many other religions, the sacred books were compiled long after the prophets had left this world. The Sikh scriptures have come to us in their original form. Each sentence has been authenticated by the Guru. As the Guru Granth Sahib is written in the language of the people of northwestern India, most of the hymns in a general way are easily understood by the people of that region. Of course, since the hymns are written as poetry of great depth, scholarship is often called upon to interpret the contents.
