Two killers who took part in infamous gang-rape on board moving bus in India lose their appeal against their death sentences and are told they will hang next week

    • Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh have lost appeals in India's Supreme Court
    • They and two others on death row are due to be executed on January 22
    • Their 23-year-old victim died shortly after the attack in a case that shocked India

Two of the Indian killers who took part in an infamous gang-rape on a moving bus have lost a final appeal against their death sentences.

Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh were told they will be executed for the 2012 attack next week after the Supreme Court dismissed their plea to reconsider the sentence.

Sharma, Singh and two others on death row are due to be hanged on January 22 unless the president grants clemency, which is considered unlikely.

Sharma had claimed 'systemic and political bias' against him and said his family would suffer, but a five-judge panel rejected his claims, NDTV reported.

my background is from nearby area of Rara Sahib. My mom must had darshan of baba ji many times for sure as my maasi tells me she attended Sant ji's diwans many times.  I always visit rara sahib to pay my respects whenever i visit india.  I must have had darshan of Sant Baba Kishan Singh Ji, i remember once i was very unwell and mum took me to Rara Sahib. I was very young but do remember it was Baba ji sitting on the chair and the sangat was sitting around them on the floor. My mom told Baba ji about me but don't remember exactly what Baba ji said.

Waheguru thats really good bhen ji that your mother had darshan of Baba Ji and had a chance to listen to their deewans.

My grandma took my dad and his brother to Baba Jis deewan in the uk back in 1974/1975.

It is a once in a lifetime chance experience to see a mahapush like Baba Isher Singh Ji as i remember a family friend who had health problems i think went to meet baba ji after their deewan and fell on their charan and started to cry asking for help. Baba ji was never late for a deewan so they took him into a room and put their hand on his head for 20/25mins and asked one of their sewadars to leave the room.

My friend described it felt like aag being released when baba ji was holding their hand on his head and that he closed his eyes and started to do paath whilst this was happening.

Its really good bhen ji that you vist Rara Sahib Karamsar Gurudwara as it was named after Baba Karam Singh Ji Hoti Mardan Wale as Baba Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib,Baba Attar Singh Ji Reru Sahib are from Bhai Daya Singh Ji Samprada

Thank you @Ragmaala. Applications are going well. Just playing the waiting game to see what happens. In the meantime, I have launched a charity project to help people within the south asian community. So that's the seva for now. One thing that really hit me during that major experience, was to take care of people who are suffering from mental health illnesses, such as depression, anxiety and anything else that leads to mental suffering. So there's been a big drive to help out people who are in these types of situations. Much of the people I'm working with are youth. I've noticed our people do have a lot of bad habits and traumas that have been passed down from generation to generation. And they project those traumas onto their kids who later carry the same issues as their parents when they grow older. Not everyone wants to do bhagti/meditation, but I've just been trying to help people as best as I can using other methods. It's taught me a lot and really opened my eyes to how much suffering there is in this world (Nanak dukhia sabh sansar). Also gives a boost to your own bhagti when you hold out a loving and compassionate hand to someone who needs.

Veer ji wish you all the best for your application for medicine as its really hard the preparation stages to get the interview and place on the course subject.

I do hope you get the place as you have good intentions for doing sewa for mankind and i do wish you chardikala & success with your career and bhagati.

Dass Ji. I wanted to ask you a question. When I was in India at around 9 or 10 years of age, I took amrit. I broke it couple of years later slowly after coming to USA, took my kirpan off, stopped wearing kachera, and at 14 cut my hair.

Should I be preparing myself to take amrit again? are there consequences of breaking amrit? please give me your insight.

The age you have mentioned was quite young that you took amrit and maybe it was peer pressure you had at the time that made you break amrit at the time but whats done is done and its history now.

Hopefully now you should be building rehat like doing panj banis nitnem, trying to wake up at amritvela at later stages etc and do ardas if you want for breaking amrit as you was quite young at the time when it happened.

You can when you feel ready to go infront of panj pyare for pesh and take amrit again and follow what the panj pyare will say but do this only when you feel up to it or ready.

Daas has not taken amrit yet but i hoping to take it one day when that is i am not sure at the moment. But luckly Guru Sahib Ji has done kirpa on daas with doing nitnem banis and other paaths as it was a long task to learn them at the time a few years ago.

Try to avoid thinking about consequences as it will just create a lot of negative waves around you so just try to think positive now by doing as much paath simran jaap as you can.

I have known a few people who have taken amrit and broken it but that sort of stuff is not something i am gonna say on here unless you want to send me a private message on here.
