this trial was stopped years ago. the Southall McDonald's hasn't been halal for a long time.

I have always been curious of what helped them to come to the decision. Were they losing lots of sikh customers for example?

You could be right veer ji as Sikh customers could have made complaints. Also i did hear from someone working there of how they used to just play the prayer tape when making the meat for food aka halal which could have been another reason is got stopped the halal version of mcdonalds.

some crazy demonic santa clauses in there LOL.

I know we have Guru Granth Sahib, but I think we need some kind of book to counteract the missionaries, or maybe we have any?

Like maybe a concise book of the Guru jis' stories and sikh shaheedis for those  people into biblical stories?!?

Veer ji our purtan itihasic granths such as Suraj Parkash, Guru Nanak Parkash, Panth Parkash etc have all the saakhis which can be used to fight these Anti Sikh converting groups.

Also we need a good English speaker with knowledge of Gurbani and Itihas saakhis to tackle these issues.

Hi beautiful souls, I'm so glad I found this forum to connect with other like-minded sikhs and truth seekers :) I was born into a Sikh family, but I am only discovering what Sikhi really is these past couple of months. However, I have been on my spiritual journey for the past couple of years. I always thought Sikhi and spirituality were two different paths, but boy was I wrong! I am so happy to delve deeper into this journey. The book Sikhism and Spirituality by Rabinder Singh Bhamra really helped open my eyes. Unfortunately, I am having a hard time finding more resources and books in English that would help me understand Sikhi and its'teachings more. Any help would be appreciated!!

Let me know which banis paaths you want so i can send them to you in private message as it will take a lot of page space.

Here is a good app that lets me make print out. Here is the screenshot

This guy is Ravi Ranjan . He is Hindutva leaning sikh . But he is doing one of the most needed service and that is promoting Jhatka. He created an authority that certify Jhatka. Unfortunately Sikh community can't even come up a single authority which certify Jhatka while 100 s of authorities certify halal.

In this video he comes up with theory that how British muslims took over meat industry of UK. A question to British Sikh's is how much truth he is speaking about UK?

Request to veggies please don't ruin this thread by bringing veg vs non veg debate

Thanks for sharkng veer ji. Its not nice as everywhere its Halal this Halal that especially with Subway as i live in East London and close to Green Street where all you see is Halal on every shop there.

I also remember seeing in Southall a few years ago Halal Mcdonalds and that left me shocked especially as it has a large Sikh Community.

I wondered if anyone knows if Sri Hemkunt Sahib conducts Amrit Sanchars. What a beautiful location it would be to give our sis on the site Guru Pita did bhagti on. Beautiful. 😇🏔️

Dass did a quick google search and just found out that the gurdwara sahib is only open from May to October so it is unlikely for amrit sancher to happen but again i could be wrong as i have been there.

I have heard in katha that it is the main four headquaters where the most highest number of Shaheed Singhs are present along with Sri Hazur Sahib Ji, Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji and Sri Mukthsar Sahib Ji

please make sure you use lockdown to learn gurmukhi.

reading in gurbani roman script is really really hard. it's difficult to know how to pronounce something when written in roman.

Veer ji thanks for reminding me i will start it today as i have been lazy for a few days lol.

For me i have been using roman english script for the banis for over 5 years now. But i get what you mean as it is hard to read roman english. So it took me a long time using audio tracks to learn the sounds of the words repeating it then matching it with the roman english text.
