I recently joined wrestling and I kept my kara on for a few days. One of the coaches saw recently and told me to take it off. My parents will not allow me to wrestle if I need to take the kara off for practice. What should I do? Is it okay to take off for a bit if it is necessary and if not are there any alternatives? Thank you

Wjkk wjkf veer ji first of all welcome to this great forum as this is your first post on here.

Taking off your kara is not a good idea especially if you have taken Amrit. I wonder if you can contact the Sikh Helpline in the Uk as i am sure they can help a lot in these cases. So let us know what country you are based in.

Also i am posting a katha link of Panj kakar by Sant Baba Kartar Singh Ji Bhindrawale

i would stop giving her prasaad and try to give her veg diet. It would be difficult to give well balanced veg diet in the beginning, would see how it goes. Always worth trying.

Wjkk wjkf bhen ji. As dass hasn't got a pet and doesn't know any Gursikhs that do have pets its hard for me to say what's right or wrong about keeping a pet. But i do remember my Dad's mama ji in Punjab he used to give parshad to his pet dog and he loved it.

I remember that i heard in katha of bhai vishal singh on sangat tv that its supposed to help the animal if they get karah parshad as it was a saakhi which i can't fully remember now.

The Gurmatbibek forum do have some interesting views about the subject but again its a matter of choice i guess.

But best of luck with the diet and see how it goes and hopefully everything will be good.

    - also keep room, surroundings, etc neat & clean

    - keep shudhi// pavitarta of Mann/Mind, the following dirty the mind:  kaam, krodh , lobh, moh, ahankar,  vashna/desires of son, material wealth etc, raag, dvesh, irkha, nindya/chugli/bakhili...

    - if you get an experience contain within

    - keep chit in the meaning of Gurbani when reading Gurbani, also have firm belief that Guru Nanak is sitting or standing with us listening to Gurbani as we read it,

    - have firm belief/nishcha that we need to meet Guru Nanak in this janam only....

When you do ardas, you take on the karams of that being, or you have to give portion of your kamai, atleast thats my experience.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh ji Veer Ji. You are 100% correct as ever since that ardas which i did everything has been extremely horrible in my life as i have gotten really bad nightmares as well since then. Even in Gyani Thakur Singh Ji katha he mentioned that never do ardas for anyone plus he said the same thing when i met him.

Can I do the path 6 times ..... If not 11 times  ... If feel that could be handled by me... Pls share your experience veer ji.

    Actually

I want to do a chalisa .. I wish to to do this pious bani for 40 days for a wish  ..... 11 is the number that is said to done daily for 40 days .....

    Pls share your experience veerji.

    Waheguru

And very thanku for all the response.

Its best to do this bani paath only once a day as i have heard in katha of gyani thakur singh that if you read 32 times or more everyday then anything you say will come true. And that's really dangerous as it can be a shraap or something said in anger one may say in.

My experience is that i did a ardas for someone in my family and since then my life has gone beda garak since the days of 2012 as it backfired on me.

If you want to do this bani for its best ask a mahapursh or someone who done these practically these jaaps or you can talk to gyani thakur singh on Facebook.

Please do send me a private message so then i can share my experiences of my life since the ardas
