  1. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Kam1825 Jee! Quote "i do not find your questions be curious but rather that of a skeptic trying to undermine the roots of Sikhism." Wrong. The greatness of true Sikhism is indescribable. The question is about ignorance of some who think they are Sikhs. Quote "You remind me of Kala Afgana." In my view, He urgently needs to know true Simran. Quote "You do not seem to be the seeker of truth." Thanks. I already wear specs. Please ask Hari Singh Jee if he can express his views on this Forum directly or through someone. Balbir Singh
  2. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! I am curious. Surprisingly I found so many inquisitive seekers. Let me try to rebuild the question. The word 'Waahiguroo' occurs in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee thirteen times. Only Gayand Jee used the word 'Waahiguroo'. It is to read twelve times on Ang 1402 and once on Ang 1403. "vaahiguroo vaahiguroo vaahiguroo vaahi jee-o." Waahiguroo Waahiguroo Waahiguroo Waahi Jee-o. "kaval nain maDhur bain kot sain sang sobh kahat maa jasod jisahi dahee bhaat khaahi jee-o." SGGS 1402-12 Lotus eyes, sweet speech and embellished with millions of companions mother Jasoda says to whom eat curd and rice Jee-o. In this wonderful praise of Waahiguroo Gayand Jee is adorning Krishna, the incarnation of the Sustainer, Vishnu with His Attributes. My curiosity is to know the Truth. Is Waahiguroo mentioned by Gayand Jee in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is Krishna? Is His mother Jasoda? Balbir Singh
  3. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee! Quote "Vaheguru Gurmantar was given to the panj pyare by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji." Please provide one reference from Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee. I will be grateful. By the way do Sikhs know what Gurumantra their Gurus gave to the following Gurus and their true Sikhs during their life time? May I ask why the Gurus did not write it in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee? Quote "All historical references dating back to the early part of the 1700's state this (soon after the Khalsa panth was established)." Historians can write anything. They may prove that the word Waheguru existed even before oldest scriptures provided their earning is secured. Quote "If you don't follow traditions, then I take it you haven't kept kes, don't wear a dastaar and use the name Singh for fun only...." God is in all though. God illuminates the true Sikh. A true Sikh does not wear any cosmetic to mask. Quote "I take it you haven't taken Khande da amrit." Please do not waste time to search personal information of others. God is nearest within. ************** Quote "What are you saying? that you know more than the Gurus, the bhramgyani sants and mahapurkhs of the various sampradas that come down to us in unbroken lineage from the time of the Guru? more than bhramgyani Bhai Gurdass ji, whose writings were granted the status of Gurbani by Guru Arjan Dev ji?" This is the result of hearing preachers. Quote "You act like you want to find the truth, and no offense is intended when I say this, you don't seem to have the heart of a true seeker. It seems like you're willing to accept answers confirming your preconceived biases, and not others... no offense. bhul chuk maaf. But you need to really think about the things that you believe if you want to get anywhere on a path where one is supposed to move closer to truth." Please do not worry about Balbir Singh. God is caring for him also. ************** Has anyone to say something about the mother of Waahiguroo? I hope many read Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee with great enthusiasm. Balbir Singh
  4. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and N30 SINGH Jee! Quote "Veer, off course god can be both male and female but in sargun saroop," Right. One tries to show God with the word 'Waahiguroo'. This effort is also HIS Sargun Saroop. No one can express Nirgun God, also not with the word 'Waahiguroo'. All Names to express God are His Sargun Roop. Quote "i thought we were talking about Vahiguroo in nirgun roop which is beyond genders." Experience of Nirgun God is possible only by negating the use of Sargun God and reaching complete silence. Talking keeps one engaged with HIS Sargun Roop. ************** Quote from Shaheediyan Jee "So you are saying you give no importance to Bhai Gurdaas Ji's Vaaran or the whole Sikh Panth in all it's guises, who have been handed down Gurmantar via the Panj Pyare from our Guru Sahibans time?" Only those receive Gurumantra as Gurprasaad who received it from their true Guru. Your so-called Gurumantra is Waheguru. Strange, the universal Gurus did not speak or write once about it. Your Gurumantra is the suggestion from Bhai Gurdas Jee. What some funny folk are existing on earth right now? They speak the word Waheguru suggested by someone else and call their Guru someone else. They replace their Guru's words and feel proud to do so. Today they suggest erasing their Guru's written words and attempt to reach God. I observe this is all because of the ignorance of the preachers. The true Gurus are still inviting all smilingly. I have a question to simple heart Sikhs. When will the lost preachers leave them from their jaws? The Gurus also never say to chant a replaced name each time they evoke a peculiar Name. The Gurus but suggest saying a particular name each time, and that is surely not Waheguru. Also, On this planet, a great tradition exists. They call this true Sikhism. Their Gurus never gave Gurumantra in writing to anybody. Simultaneously the height of ignorance exists among some preacher folk. They give Gurumantra because someone has written it somewhere. One participant from other forum wrote me that I should not attack the well-established practices of Sikhism. I am still waiting for the list of such practices. I trust what my true Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, confirms. Any infiltration in original Sikhi is unbearable to all true Sikhs. We should make all, aware of it. ************** All that exists is Sargun God. That receives birth also. That has a mother too. Balbir Singh
  5. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee! Quote "Why don't you share your opinion first and then ask others, from all your posts it is clear your opinion has already been formed before you post your question." I hope nobody has a problem with my curiosity. Quote "To add Vaheguru can be both male and female or neither" I feel God is male, female and beyond both also. A Jeev can be male, female or neither. Quote "Now maybe you would like to further expand on and give us your opinion on your question, who is the mother of Vaheguru?" The Gurus never use this word 'Waahiguroo' for the Supreme Lord. Perhaps someone gave birth to this word 'Waahiguroo' and many started imitating. Those, who give birth to something, may be knowing its mother also. Balbir Singh
  6. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and N30 SINGH Jee! Thanks for your post. Quote "He who is without colour or form, and without any distinctive norm." Does it say that "Vahiguroo doesnt have any gender?" Balbir Singh
  7. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and N30 SINGH Jee! Quote "Vahiguroo doesnt have any gender". Please provide a reference from the Gurus. I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  8. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Sikhs perhaps know Waahiguroo. May I ask who is the mother of Waahiguroo? Balbir Singh
  9. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Mekhane'ch Jannat Jee! Thanks for your good post. Quote "Asking I interpreted as spiritual exertion, which is naam simran." The Guru's Vaak would mean 'I exerted my own Guru spiritually and saw. There is no other place'. Is this correct? Quote "As I wrote before the negating of what is not god this for me is naam simran." How does one negate of what is not God? Does he already know God before he starts negating? Please clear it. Balbir Singh
  10. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Mekhane'ch Jannat Jee! Thanks for your post. Quote "'Asking' is not asking to ask is duality 'asking' is grace from the Guru the result of 'asking' is knowledge of the place of no others." Gurdev's Vaak begins with 'I" (Mai)? Why does this not represent duality? Please explain. According to your understanding 'asking' is knowledge. Should Sikhs better ask than do NAM Simran? Quote "Through 'asking' the sikh uncovers the grace of the Guru more and more until the final meeting at avar nahi thao." Is 'asking' a kind of NAM Simran? Balbir Singh
  11. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all, RupZ Jee and Amrik$ingh Jee! Please let all know when you come out of the river or ocean. We can continue with the Satsang. I find this Vaak from Gurdev just wonderful. Mai āpṇā gur pūcẖẖ ḏėkẖiā avar nāhī thāo. ||1|| rahāo. SGGS Ang 14-4 I asked my Guru and saw no other place. I would enjoy knowing what is that place (Thaa-o) Guru Naanak Dev jee is asking His Guru about. Can someone extend the explanation? Has someone ever heard anybody talking about it? Balbir Singh
  12. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Kam1825 Jee! Quote "How about you read the steeks of Gurbani available" Please provide the number of Sateeks and its sizes too that may help meeting God. Does any Sateek also explain, like the Guru's words, that reading books is wasting life? Quote "I cant even believe you posted such a silly question" I do not know how others are squandering their human life? ************** Quote from Xylitol Jee "Balbir Singh, those are just different names for God." Thanks. Please clear it also. What is that particular name the Guru is suggesting in this Vaak? I will be thankful. Balbir Singh
  13. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! The answer from Amrik$ingh Jee is "Vaheguru Ji." Guru Naanak Dev Jee called His Guru Paar-Brahma, Paramaysar etc. I do not know where He called His Guru Vaheguru. ************** Quote from Das Jee "Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to take isnan in Vayen nadi and did not come out after 3rd chube in river. Guru Ji came out of that river after 3 days. During that time Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to Sachkhand." I cannot imagine that Sachkhand is available in a river. Please explain it. How can a person get Sachkhand who cannot swim or who lives far away from a river? Quote "If you don't agree with this, then instead of saying bad to Sant/Mahatma, say Waheguru and don't post anything bad." I feel only love and praise for the true Gurus, saints and Mahaatmaas. Sometimes I am in wonder watching God playing in ignorant too. Balbir Singh
  14. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Guru Naanak Dev Jee is singing. Mai āpṇā gur pūcẖẖ ḏėkẖiā avar nāhī thāo. ||1|| rahāo. SGGS Ang 14-4 I asked my Guru and saw no other place. Can someone please explain who is the Guru of Guru Naanak Dev Jee He is referring in this Vaak? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  15. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and N30 Jee! Who will like to join a school where no proper guidance is available for Trikat, Marfat and Hakikat? I feel so many Sikhs need true guidance. Without this many are sitting in kindergarten. Balbir Singh
  16. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Kharag Jee! Quote "your constant mention of HIM HE HIS, you are contradicting mool mantra where God is neither male or female." I could not find it where Gurdev has said in Mool Mantra. God is neither male nor female. The true Guru is singing. "is jag meh purakh ayk hai hor saglee naar sabaa-ee." SGGS 591-19 In this world Purakh is ONE, rest. All is Naar complete. It is an individual's recognition what he realizes in him, the male (Purakh), the female (Naar) or the eunuch. I feel in the Godly world eunuch is one who does not recognize God as Purakh nor he realizes his existence as Naar. Balbir Singh
  17. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee! Quote "What is your understanding of visible..." God is everything, gives everything and takes back everything. Many talk about HIM that HE gives everything but they do not realize with what HE gives all that. God is invisible for many, what to say about HIS Hands. Rarely for someone God is visible completely. Balbir Singh
  18. On a forum I read these sentences. "There is no need for Brahma, the god of generation; Vishnu, the god of operations; or Shiva, the god of destruction. According to Guru Nanak all these operation happen according to Hukam." "I do not see why these names from an other religion are to be made a part of vocabulary of the Sikh religion especially, when these three functions are already included in the Hukam." Do you also feel that they should reduce vocabulary of Sikh religion? Balbir Singh
  19. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Kharag Jee! Please say something about God's Hands. I hope you have realized them too. Please name those from whom one receives help and protection otherwise. Balbir Singh
  20. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Quote from Kharag Jee "balbir singh clevery ghat maar, because your arguments are be buniyaad" These words are crossbred and difficult to understand. Please say something pleasant to all true Sikhs in a pure language. Balbir Singh
  21. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee! Quote "What Vaheguru's hands represent is clearly shown in Dasam Pashahs Benti Chaupai, please read this bani and then let us have your understanding of Gods hands." I just started reading it and was pondering the first Vaak "hamree karo haath d-ay racchaa." Surely, we may have Satsangs on the next Vaak soon. Quote "You do make one good point, do they represent something else, I would say yes they do, how can meagre minds like ours comprehend Vaheguru's hands, we can only comprehend them in the limited state of our understanding and needs - they can also be said to represent Vishnu, Brahma and Shiv Ji." In my view, Vishnu, Brahma and Shiv Jee are not hands of God. God did not create first HIS three hands and then the rest of HIS creation. ************** Dear TSingh Jee, We got birth long back. We do not know if God in form of Brahma gave us birth by using His hands or something else. Also, we do not know death right now as we feel that we are alive. So, knowing Siv may be a matter for the future. God as protector known as Bikhan or Vishnu is the only God's Will helping us sustaining. I am using these Names because I found those in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. One needs to experience it if God is salving us with His Hands or any other limb more. ************** Quote from Kharag Jee "Even maharaj says he is a moorakh in the face of God. However this is because the Guru's were being modest. We have virtually no understanding of the Glory of God, . . ." There is a difference. Some are not able to accept that they are moorakh. Their ego hides behind the wall of 'we'. Quote "@ Balbir -listen" Please upload your voice. Quote "No one here denies that fact that the gurus were the window for divine light ie bani to come and shower upon us," Please do not mind it. I feel the Gurus are divine light of God, not the windows. Quote "Saying that god literally has hands is absurd, because god is without form." Truth cannot be half true. One can realize formless God exclusively in a form, for example a human form. Perhaps some of us have heard why even Devas long for the human form. Quote "These "hands" are a personification of Gods power, just like to us humans without our hands we cannot survive as they are our source of physical power, Gods "hands" are Gods power and it is that power that we are beseeching for protection. And here we can tie in my argument of dumbing down Gods persona (because it is so magnificent) to us humans our hands mean everything, because with it we eat, we do activities, its where our livelihood comes from. That emotion we have for the magnificence and significance of our hands in our lives can be projected upon God. The idea of God having hands is to teach us humans that "Look how powerful you are with your hands, imagine if God was to have hands how powerful would the almighty be, and think oh human God is more powerful than you can ever think without hands!" The understanding or vocabulary of a worldly person may be limited. The Gurus used the word 'Hands' because they wanted to say 'Hands'. ************** Quote from Shaheediyan Jee "In my opinion, a hand could easily and quite correctly be seen as a metaphor or as fact, depending on ones level and angle of thinking." I feel the same. The Gurus meant 'Hands' when they sang about 'Hands'. Those Hands may not be visible to all. Balbir Singh
  22. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Kharag Jee! We are enjoying Satsang referring the Guru's Vaaks. God acts through the Gurus. The enlightened Gurus enjoy God's Will with full conscious mind. You wrote "i think its all metaphorical," May I ask if it were not about God's speaking through the Gurus. God's Truth through the Gurus is not metaphorical. This is a different thing that some do not understand it and call it metaphor. Quote from RupZ Jee "Balbir Singh, this is Guru Gobind Singh Jis bani." Thanks. Balbir Singh
  23. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Quote from Amrik$ingh Jee "he may not have any hands . . ." I presume some have experienced God without hands. Quote from Kam1825 Jee "In the transcendant form (Sargun) god has hands in the non transcendant (Nirgun) and divine word (Gurshabad) forms he has no hands" One realizes first what. Is it hands of Sargun God or Nirgun God without hands? This has made me curious. Sikhs are supposed to worship Nirgun God only. Nirgun God does not have hands. How does HE help a Jeev when needed? Quote from Kharag Singh Jee "i think its all metaphorical," God is not metaphorical. God is Truth. Quote "so when maharaj in Gurbani says hamri karo haath deh racha maharaj i feel is saying look after me oh lord with your power which created me, and will preserve me (protect) and will destroy my enemies and obsticals." That is interesting. God, who created me, should please look after me, preserves me but destroy others. Strange, God hears everybody praying the same. Quote from Shaheediyan Jee "it's a metaphor, a figure of speech ... where the term hand of God is used to represent the divine grace and protection of Parm-Atma." What should one ask for when he needs help? These are God's Hands, Grace or both. Is it also something else? Balbir Singh
  24. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Guru Arjan Dev Jee is singing. "jee-a jugat jaa kai hai haath." SGGS 184-9 Guru Gobind Singh Jee also wrote in Chaupa-ee Sahib Jee "hamree karo haath d-ay racchaa." Do all true Sikhs feel that God has hands? Please express your views. I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  25. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all and Gurpreet Singh Jee! Quote "I would like to as you, have you become a true Sikh and agree with Guru's experience?" Yes. I feel this experience is true. Balbir Singh
