  1. Satsriakal to all and mloco Ji! Is Jot our guru, according to you? Balbir Singh
  2. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is incorporated with the hymns (Baanee) from many enlightened beings as Kabir Ji, Namdev Ji, Jaidev Ji, Pipa Ji, Sain Ji, Ravidas Ji, Farid Ji and others. For Sikhs Baanee is Guru and Guru is Baanee. Do all God beings, whose Baanee is included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, become automatically our Gurus? Please express your views. Balbir Singh
  3. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! All belongs to God. Also, that feels mine. It starts to flow when He wants to share. He has chosen me as His tool not hurdle. You may possess the Truth or pass it on. Please visit the site http://www.saysatsriakal.com And click the topic '38 Pauris of Japuji Sahib'. Love. Balbir Singh
  4. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear seekers and those who have achieved Truth! I have a question. Why Japuji Sahib has thirty-eight Pauris (stanzas)? Please share your thoughts and knowledge with all. Balbir Singh
  5. Satsriakal N30 Singh Ji! I admire your statement. You Wrote "and when the navel chakra gets opened up, gurmukh starts hearing vahiguroo dhuni(resosance) from each rom of his/her body... it's ever blisfful." Is this all your experience? And hairs assist all this to happen in a person. I have a question. The word 'chakra' indicates that which moves in a circular form. What is the shape of a 'chakra' when it opens up? Please teach me. We can also remain to the topic when you prefer. Balbir Singh
  6. Satsriakal to all and N30 Singh Ji! Does this mean that Gurmukh meditates Har Har with only small holes where hair is grown? Balbir Singh
  7. Satsriakal to all and N30 Singh Ji! You wrote "When Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji came in this earth, people have forgotten how to respect god's creation." Have I understood it rightly? After Guru Gobind Singh Ji left the body and the body came in earth, people have forgotten how to respect God's creation. I feel people always get lost without Guru. Thanks for mentioning so many spiritual significances of hair. May God bless me with all of those. You referred a wonderful Vaak from Gurbani "Gurmukh Rom Rom Har Dhi-aaavai" SGGS Ang 941 I am not sure if 'rom' means hair as you have explained. You seemed to be concerned when you write " . . . in intoxication of fashion, ahankar and to be accepted in social circle our veers and bhains does katal of their kesh everyday . . ." I was also wondering on this behavior. Why Sikhs cover their hair with so many styles and colors of turbans? Balbir Singh
  8. Satsriakal to all! This query may interest people of the whole world. God gave hair to all human beings. Why Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave Sikhs hair again as one of the five Kakaars? Please express your views. Balbir Singh
  9. Satsriakal to all and Harbhajan Ji! I am surprised why our Gurus have kept this secret. It would be interesting to know why these writers have disclosed this secret. I am little confused. Should I trust the writings of my Gurus or these writers? Don't you think that our Gurus could write about this Gurumantar when they wanted it? The word Gurumantar occurs many times in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Sometimes it is indicating to God Names like Hari but not Vaheguru as Gurumantar. Is Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji not the complete Guru? Many writers go on adding what our Gurus perhaps forgot to write, in their view? Sometimes the writers claim that our Gurus did not write all what they told. This is their duty to document now that what they talked all about. I am thrilled what all may be found from our Gurus. Balbir Singh
  10. Satsriakal to all! Which of our Gurus has told Sikhs that Vaheguru is Gurumantar? Balbir Singh
  11. Satsriakal to all and Hari Ji! Thanks for you clarification. I have heard Vishnu has more than a thousand names. Please do me the favor and explain his Names or qualities from this painting. Maybe you can also explain why His color is as shown in this painting. Thanks. Balbir Singh
  12. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Hari Ji! You referred the wonderful Shabad from Gurbani. You also sent a painting of Sri Krishna. Please elaborate your views. Which part of the painting of Sri Krishna represents his character Madhusudan, Damodar, Rikhikesh, Govardhan Dhari, Niranjan etc. I did not see a flute, a single Gopi or a lion on this picture of Sri Krishna. Why and how this painting represents Him as Murli-Manohar, Gopi-Nath or Narsingh. Please guide me. Balbir Singh
  13. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear Gurbani Lovers! I have a curiosity. In Japuji Sahib after Guru's Vaak "hai bhee sach naanak hosee bhee sach" number '1' occurs. The same number '1' occurs again after Guru's Vaak "hukam rajaa-ee chalnaa naanak likhi-aa naal" Please explain what the use of same number '1' indicates at both the places? I will be grateful. Balbir Singh
  14. Satsriakal to all! There is a Rehat given by the Supreme. All follow this Rehat. Balbir Singh
  15. Satsriakal to all and Tanu Kaur Ji! I appreciate your query. Please follow the thread "Is enlightenment only for females?" on the Sikhnet Forum. http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/discussion....5700400699BCA!O penDocument Perhaps this gives you a clue. Balbir Singh
  16. Satsriakal to all and N30 Singh Ji! Thanks for your reference. Please let me share this with you and all. A human being rolls so many Papads to fill his belly and to know Truth. Learned preachers have added in this list many more. These are: 1. Devotion should be like a female love for her spouse. 2. Make Waheguru as your spouse, Husband. 3. Surrender your body and mind to the True Guru. 4. Embellish yourself with the Service for Waheguru pleasure, just like a Suhaagan’s love for her Husband. 5. Become Lord’s Suhaagan, Sadda Suhaagan. 6. Get lost in Waheguru’s love and service. 7. Submit like a female love for Waheguru. I am not sure if any of these smartness lies within the reach of a person. Who is able to ever own these treasures without Guru's True Shabad? Love. Balbir Singh
  17. Satsriakal to all and N30 Singh JI! You wrote "I think we shouldn't take gurbani literally at times... suhagan is metaphor . . ." A metaphor is, according to a dictionary, a figure of speech in which an expression is used to refer to something that it does not literally denote in order to suggest a similarity. A truth is a fact that has been verified. I feel that Gurbani is Truth. Gurbani is not metaphor. -------------- Satsriakal Challenge_everything Ji! You asked "what do you become women - physically, emotionally, mentally?" The answer is, in my view, all levels. Gurbani says "mai kaaman mayraa kant kartaar." I am the bride; the Creator is my Husband Lord. "jayhaa karaa-ay tayhaa karee seegaar." As He inspires me, I adorn myself. "jaaN tis bhaavai taaN karay bhog." When it pleases Him, He enjoys me. "tan man saachay saahib jog." Body and mind are for True Lord. SGGS page 1128 Balbir Singh
  18. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Our Gurus have sung a lot about becoming Suhaagan (married as woman). Did they become female? Balbir Singh
  19. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Let us try to approach a solution. It is Guru's Mastee when He asks a question. For many it looks like an examination. Only the true Guru watches His actions as God's Hukum. The praise of Guru's suggestion is only possible after we accept it completely without any reasoning. God's Hukum leaves us any other choice? Our ego always says, yes! I have the best one. We may have Satsang again and over this graceful question in the future also. For right now I remember the unforgettable incident of Bhai Lehna Ji's life when Guru Nanak Ji asked him to do something. All others even Nanak Ji's sons had a reason to act or reject Will of God through The Great Guru. There was only one whose existence did not have any blockages to let this Will go. This was Bhai Lehna Ji who immediately merged in God and emerged as Guru Angad Dev Ji. Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave us a lot more than and through Jaap, Amrit and Kakaars. Before giving us Amrit and Kakaars The Guru asked us a question "who is ready to die?" Surprising is that we have found endless reasons to accept or to reject those. Love. Balbir Singh
  20. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! It is great to get human life. Greater is the thirst for Truth. Greatest is to come to know Jap. With Jap all secrets are revealed also the one you want to know. Love. Balbir Singh
  21. Satsriakal to all and Pheena Ji! You started with "Is it not possible that there is no reason at all. It could simply be a Coincident, that you are diging into something which is not really there?" I feel one can't dig in the sky. One can dig in the earth which is really there. It is a different thing that one digs for something but finds a mine of diamonds. You started writing further. Perhaps you have also hopes like me to find something valuable. Are you sure that we keep Kirpan in a sheath because we worry that it would hurt us or others accidentally? You argued "Plus its a respectfull way to carry it around instead of it being naked." Do we loose respect for Kirpan when we take it out? Dear Pheena Ji! I am not used to write long letters. I wish to come to your very valuable hint in the last paragraph. You mentioned this ". . . i thik you are seeking something more of a spiritual reasoning behind this pattern . . ." with a smile. This is right. Kakaars are not only a piece of earthly materials. Thanks for your cooperation and patience. Love. Balbir Singh
  22. Satsriakal to all and Pheena Ji! But my curiosity to get an answer is still there. I should first grow and get better understanding. Would you please explain why we cover other Kakaars. We may perhaps come to find an answer this way. Balbir Singh
  23. Satsriakal to all and Pheena Ji! Are you suggesting wearing the Kakaars but not to dig in the infinite unexpressed values of those? I remember the grand father of a friend who always warned not to jump into water as the chances of drowning are always more than to learn swimming. You started your post with "Certainly there are an infinite amount of unexpressed values for all the Kakaars . . ." I request you to open your Khazaanaa (treasure). Please share it with all, in truth and in deeds. Love. Balbir Singh
  24. Satsriakal to all and Pheena Ji! Thanks for your cooperation to find a solution. We love to discuss many topics about Sikhism on this forum in detail. Why to avoid a theme which was not much thought of? Kakaars are very important for many Sikhs to keep or wear. Also, the Sikh is not supposed to be ritualistic. My query was to find out if we start wearing Kakaars with a simple acceptance and all other told values are added later to convince our mind. You wrote "The Kakaar are given for their purpose." Sometimes questions come up in my mind. Almost everybody is using a comb and most of the people even carry one with them also. Why a comb is more important for Sikhs? I presume it is not only because of its special shape. Surely there must be some other reasons for its importance. There must be more unexpressed values for all the Kakaars. I hope that like a strange question has taken birth in my mind, many great answers may take birth in some of your minds. Questions asked in sahaj sound pointless. But I hope that some good pointed answers may come up. I feel that every answer may be a unique piece to add in solving this puzzle. Let us grow together. Love. Balbir Singh
  25. Satsriakal to all! What is pointless? It is wearing the Kakaars or exchanging views about Kakaars. Balbir Singh
