I have heard someone talking about this literature here . Please give your feedback as a Sikh if it's worth reading? I mean close to our school of thought. I came across this in another forum and found it interesting- pasting as it is from Quora. Pls suggest if I should go about reading this further
    Thanks

What is your favorite meditation or activity, and why? My favorite meditation is doing nothing at all.
This is the meditation of absolute stillness.
    The technique?
    Sit quietly.
    Don’t do anything.
Don’t try to make anything different than it is.
We’re so used to doing that it doesn’t seem like we know how to stop.
    Well-meaning people say:
    “Follow your breath.
    Be mindful of sensations.”
The doer now has a serious job it can do well or mess up.
People used to ask Ramana Maharshi what they should do to get enlightened.
He’d tell them they should reject the notion that they’re not enlightened already.
“How do we do that?” they’d ask.
“Look for the one who seeks enlightenment,” he’d say.
They looked diligently for the seeker, but couldn’t find him.
Ramana would then say: “Abide in that state.”
You look for the obstruction, but you can’t find it.
You can’t find whatever is holding you back because it doesn’t exist.
We’re always one thought away from stillness and peace.
“I have to find stillness and peace,” is that thought.
Let it go, and you will see you’re already there.

This is really a limit! Who are you now?? Don't even have an Id here and now u have jumped in scolding me here. U are so RUDE Mr.. look at yourself first.. .. I have already apologised more than once. Soulfinder is my friend since long if I didn't write ji in front of his name ( which seems to be an issue with Mr. Prabhtej) that is because he's close, and he's always talking about Nazar etc which is not Sikhi, and I have pointed it before to him...  . He's cool here, realising he repeated what we hv discussed earlier. Rest all have issues.
Whatever.!!  Think whatever u may. I see sat Veerji, hisservant and others ( 5 members to be precise) understanding my point and I am thankful. Thank u so much... I am not taking this further.

Exactly what @Sat1176 veerji is saying.
I am trying to walk on the path too and really it isn't easy when you have to live two lives. Sometimes I feel that the Jogi's path id way much better and easier cos they had just one thing to manage but then when I think about their physical hardships, I drop that thought

Spot on Bro! That's why I love you. You know how to put feelings into words so well.
I get lot of help from this forum as I keep on reading your guys past posts and conversations. Rest I read a few books of Sewa Singh ji and others.  I am not that good with Punjabi as a language so keep getting stuck at words in kathas, for which I have to call my mom then. She starts brabbing as soon as she hears words from me like sukhmana or samaadhi etc. "Mai keh ri haa eh Sikhi Ni tuera rasta galt hai" and how do I tell her that she has reached there as she has been seeing those lights with knowing anything about it. She still believes sharing may ralentisezz her spiritual growth.
Sitting in sunn is such a bliss that charges one in minutes, each of us here wants to reach the destination asap and thus looking for shortcuts but I feel that there aren't any. Somedays it get into it in minutes and otherwise I keep waiting and it just doesn't happens.. Sometimes when I get fed up I cry and you know what ! That works. I feel better and progressing the next day.
One more thing, these kathas says that kirtan isn't worth taking us forth but I feel it is, all religions in the world are based on music. After all Anhad naad is music too. I really want to open another thread on this to discuss this. Hope to get inputs from you all.

No no brother, it's not that he said Onkaar jap, he said Onkaar kar sakde jo, waheguru kar sakde jo, Hari, Allah any..
He himself does Waheguru simran and so do I.
Thank you ji. I do saas gras but i will do inward pumps as well, that may help my bulging tummy too : - )
Now that's a story brother. I heard about this Veerji from a learned Gurmukh, he also sent these recordings. I downloaded this app, got his number from there and called him. Don't ask me why because I am still asking this myself. Now this person had a strong persona. A very strong vibration,  he said he could  take me across the bhavjal of vichaars
Yes you read it right. He says he can.
I got in dubidha - one head said wow! I have been asking for this all my life, koi aave santo! types and the logical one says - Hows it possible?
I was stuck. I contacted a few Gurmukhs I know including mooorakh bhn she's a member of a gurbani group I follow. Sent them all the recordings and pics. But haven't received any substantial answer yet
What shall I do? Is this a test or an opportunity? I hv started following Osho few years ago, don't want to repeat my mistake. This veerji seems full of practical gyaan, talks sense. Chants Waheguru. No money or any thing asked rather he's in merchant Navy, so he earns a hefty salary-don't see any minus anywhere
Please guide every one. Sangat is the Guru

Yes I have a few, if you would take them Please
We should have buttons to block, report someone.
There should be more reactions other than like and thanks for instance love and dislike etc.
Third we should be notified that so and so liked/ loved/ disliked ur stuff and so on
You should allow only one status update a day to avoid clutter, also limit the number of posts a day or something like that.
Positions on the profile should be according to the likes/ loves one receive on their content not the  number of contents.
That's it for now... Will keep on adding more as they come to my mind.

i've only done kapaalbhaati a handful of times.  Mainly done Breath of fire in which the inhale and exhale are same length. Good for firing up and activating furnace/lower core in helping prana flow and metabolism.  Kapaalbhati has longer exhales, so it would be more of purifying and cleansing orientated.  There's probably much more into the yoga science, but I usually keep my focusing on energy direction and body balance.
as in to your original question about " praana vich kampan",  I would normally suggest doing the cleansing technique of Saas graas at  normal relaxed pace with some dhyian and inward pumps at the navel. This usually balances this out whilst doing simran.
I usually do yoga techniques and stretches as part of my workouts. Goal here is BODY->MIND, MIND->BODY, and I usually bring in gurmantar or other mantar.  I find these physical approaches are usually beneficial if done 3-4 hrs before deeper simran session.  See how you go and how it works better for you.

Sukh_preet reacted to Lucky in Post your favorite Kirtan
KIRTAN is NOT to be confused with dharmeek geet or devotional songs.(as per sikhi). Some other faiths and sects call their devotional songs "kirtan" but this is NOT kirtan as per sikhi.
Kirtan can only be shabads taken from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, writings of Bhai Gurdas jee  and Bhai Nand lal jee.
In the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji like a gurdwara stage for addressing sangat, only KIRTAN as per above definition can be performed. Not dharmeek geet or devotional songs. However, exception is made to the art of Dhadi vaaran which was encouraged and promoted by Sri Guru Hargobind Singh ji. Dhadi  jathas are allowed to perform and sing vaaran(heroic ballads) in presence of Sri Guru granth sahib ji.

see SECTION V, article IV of sikh rehat maryada (code of conduct and conventions)
Article VI - Kirtan (Devotional Hymn Singing by a Group or an individual) a. Only a Sikh may perform kirtan in a congregation. b. Kirtan means singing and scriptural compositions in traditional musical measures. c. In the congregation, kirtan only of Gurbani (Guru Granth’s or Guru Gobind Singh’s hymns) and, for its elaboration, of the compositions of Bhai Gurdas and Bhai Nand Lal, may be performed. . It is improper, while singing hymns to rhythmic folk tunes or to traditional musical measures, or in team singing, to induct into them improvised and extraneous refrains. Only a line from the hymn should be a refrain.

Yes, yippee, yeah at least somebody spoke up otherwise this is the third or fourth time I am witnessing this, she would say a line or two and get a page long meaningless lecture as @Still nascentrightly said:  then she would hold hands and back off. He will get encouraged as no one else objects, thinking he won. What a hypocrite- talks about humility and tolerance?
There's an old saying :: if you keep quiet in a crowd of intelligent people, they may think you are a fool : but if you speak up- they will be sure about it - think about it@harsharan000 jiii
Everyday I open this forum, see few random  posts in general discussion and 4-5 pics in status of harsharan jeeee - a thought passes by how can a person has 4 status a day and how can @Soulfinder ami like them all? Why have you become a chamcha man?  Why don't admins restrict his posts @sarabatam bro?
Only @Mooorakhsista is one person who points him and as soon as she does he barks back, she never reply. Come on sceur our Guru Ji says not to argue but does he not tell us to shoo away our attackers?
It's us who allows you so much freedom on the forum and ignore crap you post Monsieur @harsharan000 not you allowing us freedom instead.
@Still nascent good that you spoke bro, this was necessary. All good posts of the day gets hidden, many questions are left unanswered these days because of the unnecessary traffic on the forum. @admins pls find a solution to this.
I didn't want to upset anyone I am sorry if I have hurt you @harsharan000 / @Soulfinderbut trust us man you have done more harm yaa

I find it very inspiring and motivating when people talk about their experiences and spiritual status. Why do people keep it so secretive? I find as a mother my self I tell my daughter my experiences and she talks about hers as it’s a learning process and we are beginners who are confused at times about what we feel . Thank you for sharing and asking as it’s a question I has as well do we lose our avasta if we talk about what we hear or feel?

A very subtle detail...first time I noticed a little vibration for a minute just near the xiphoid process, maybe the beating of heart. The previous sounds are still present in 1/10. Even though the mind is scattered its the grace of the GURU JI that he is making me hear these. Maybe he is trying to tell me I am with you, keep going 👍🏽

You may not remember how baffled I was when my own Mom wasn't ready to share her spiritual status with me, your posts and moorakh bhnji helped me to overcome that state. I can't tell you how inspiring this and "my experience" thread of yours and @Lucky , Bhagat Singh and His servant Veerji's words have been here to me.
