Why are Sikhs surprised. Extreme brotherhood with muslims is now promoted by many sections of Sikhs
Muslims in Malerkotla allowed with caps to perform namaz in front of Guru granth sahib. No outrage in community.

I guess you are not aware of Agnipath scheme . Massive protest happen as that scheme only employ 75% of soldiers for 4 years. Nepal is still not sending it's gurkha for indian army. I don't know how sikh marriages are taking place outside india but in india they take place in banquets. Only groom bride and near relatives go to Gurdwara for lavan phere . Others just keep on eating in banquets.
And yes destination sikh weddings are already happening in india for rich , filmstars cricketers. Last year indian fast bowler jasprit bumrah married in goa having sikh wedding.

There has been constant effort for promoting muslim sikh bhai chara be it blogs that were operated from Canada supporting Palestine , Sikhs supporting muslims in CAA protest despite it was extremely beneficial to sikhs. This over the moon thank u is also part of it. Even when Gurdwara' s are attacked in Afghanistan some Khalistani sikhs blame it on RSS or India while completely bailing out islamists

When the Sikh movement published a map of Khalistan, it included parts of the Pakistani side of Punjab. This prompted Gen Zia to order his government to keep Sikhs “under strict surveillance”. Later in 1988, the then director-general of the ISI, Gen Hamid Gul, called on prime minister Benazir Bhutto and advocated a plan to support the Khalistan movement in Indian Punjab as a bid to pre-empt any Indian threat. Bhutto told the General to drop the card.
Later on, prime minister Bhutto, in a bid to create a friendly atmosphere, collected all information about Sikh activists and reportedly sent it to Indian prime pinister Rajiv Gandhi through a special messenger. This information rpparently helped Rajiv bring an end to the Sikh uprising.

In the end I just want to say that live in present not in past. What happened in 80s and 90s was terrible but nothing can be done now. India is now 10 times stronger while sikhs are extremely weak. Low birth rate christian conversions are major threats now .

What happened in 80s and early 90s was wrong. Now please tell me solution. Conducting phoney refrendum, claiming punjab haryana rajasthan part of UP as khalistan when sikh population is their negligible , gathering some pendu's and dreaming them recreation of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Raj. Is this solution for you
The present census is not conducted but there is good chance that sikh population is now below 55% of Punjab. So even if your imaginery khalistan is created chances of Bhagwant mann type non practicing sikh as it's pm is much higher than any hot headed khalistani becoming pm.
The truth is you people are just fulfilling your wishes of a sikh nation .
If Sikhs has problem then they either vote for khalistani party or some aggressive sikh party not some secular party like AAP in Punjab.
