  1. It may sound funny to some but this is a very good question by gavenu and answered by sachitanad108. Doing nothing in the meditation IS the most complex/hard task in this world. Try to sit for 5 minutes as per Zen (or any other meditation) but make sure your mind does NOTHING (no thoughts, no thinking, no dreams etc.) and then see it your yourself that "doing nothing is the hardest thing in this world".
  2. It depends upon what kind of information you're looking for; but here is my personal thinking: For Health; practically this is the one that could help you daily Your Bodys Many Cries for Water by Dr Batmanghelidj (https://www.scribd.com/doc/179427446/Your-Body-s-Many-Cries-for-Water-Fereydoon-Batmanghelidj-pdf) Water Cure by Sebastian Kneipp (https://archive.org/download/mywatercureastes00kneiuoft/mywatercureastes00kneiuoft.pdf) For the methods to Mimic the Natural rhythm and flow of Water to increase its life-giving power: Flowforms The Rhythmic Power of Water by John Wilkes All the other books are for the one who really want to understand the true power and nature of water and want to research very deeply. All the books are good, but i would suggest to just stick with the basic information: How to use water for your Health as well as Spiritually. Othewise, one could spend the whole life in the research of water and even then could not 100% decode its true power.
  3. There is lot of information available in the mentioned books ranging from Health, Super-natural powers, GoldenRatio, Flying Saucers, absorbing natural powers from universe. So, I don't know what exactly you're looking for. But here is the sample from the 2 books: Reference: Page-93 of Living Water and Secrets of Natural Energy By Viktor Schauberger: If water or air is rotated into a twisting form of oscillation known as 'colloidal', a build up of energy results, which, with immense power, can cause levitation. This form of movement is able to carry with it its own means of power generation. This principle leads logically to its application in the design of the ideal airplane or submarine. In 1943 era lot of flying saucers were designed on these principles. Reference: Page 65 of Sensitive Chaos The creation of Flowing Forms in Water and Air By Theodor Schwenk Water shaken in a vessel can be caused to move in such a way that the inner surfaces thus created all slide past each other in the moving liquid. As soon as the movement ceases, the formation of inner surfaces, and thus also the great impressionability, is arrested, and the "sense organ" closes itself. If water is shaken in this way, all the many forms of movement arise in it which we have been describing singly for the sake of ?larity. The same is true of the natural movement of water, in which also a great variety of movements combine. Not only the shaking of a container but also other kinds of movement can open up the water as a sense organ. -------------------------------------- From the second reference it is quite clear why it is recommended to have the water (within the round earthen pot) near the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The reason is: When the water is in constant motion (vortexes are created no matter how slow the motion is) and from within the pores of clay pot Air (another natural force) interacts with water and thus water acting as the Sense Organ and retaining/locking the environment in itself. So, prefered and correct way to place water near Sri Guru Granth Sahib is: Put the water in Round Earthen pot and do NOT try to put support to pot. The earthen pot will give natural motion and thus create the water to sense organ of the universe and the Bani uttered will be stored in the water and thus could be tagged as Amrit.
  4. I believe placing water near The Guru Granth Sahib Ji is good and right. At the same time, it is NOT the replacement of having you hear the Bani. There are lot of today's so-called scholars as well as owners-of-religions who say that placing water or having a Desi-ghee jyot is manmat (not the way of Sikhi) but sadly they are wrong. They neither understood the Bani nor the working/principles/rules of this Universe. So, for the record, it is beneficial to place water (in round earthen pot) near Guru Granth Sahib Ji or any other place where the glories of Waheguru/God are sung/discussed. In-fact, it is good to place a glass of water near you when you're reading Gurbani or Meditating on the name of Waheguru and then consume that water afterwards or one can also sprinkle that water into their home. For our monkey mind: Water is the first and foremost winner in the field of acquiring the frequency/energy/signals of the environment and this is the reason Water is being used in almost all religions baptism ceremonies. If you're interested in getting more information on Water Energies, then here is the list of books; all of the following books have information about the secret energies of water. * Control of Colloid Stability through Zeta Potential by Thomas Riddick * Living Energies by Callum Coats * Living Energies by Viktor Schauberger * Living Water and Secrets Of Natural Energy by Viktor Schauberger * The Water Wizard by Viktor Schauberger * The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto * The Secret Life of Water by Masaru Emoto * Sensitive Chaos: The Creation of Flowing Forms in Water and Air By Theodor Schwenk * Flowforms: The Rhythmic Power of Water by John Wilkes * The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor by Gerald H. Pollack
  5. Let me ask you this: Is it a sin if We sit nearby Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Your answer to my question should answer your question about water.
  6. I guess you're referring to Vichar/Discussion and not Debate (doing hard work to support one's point and opposing the other party uselessely) ......in that case, yes I do agree that Vichar/Discussion is great tool to further the knowledge. And it's good to hear that someone is really interested in doing the vichar. But in my case, I'm not upto the point/level where I could take part in real vichar, my moti-buddhi (un-intelligent mind with lot of ego) always engage in debate which disturbes the already disturbed mind. Again, it's good to know that you do have control over your mind so that it doesn't sidetrack you from the real aim. Normally, people engage in Vichar/Discussion but most of the time it ended up being debates.
  7. I do understand your point of debate. But my personal thinking is: Getting into debate doesn't bring any good for either party; even if both the parties debate's intention is to understand some real concept(s) but I guess we already have the required information and there is NO need to learn or teach more. The only information that anyone/everyone needs is: We're seperated and need meditation to return to Him. Period. Rest all really doesn't mean anything. For the last one decade I've researched/learned so many different philosophies, health techniques, tantar-mantar, energy-techniques, you name it............but the outcome is nothing practical in terms of Spiritual terms. Yes, I can get praise/thumbs-up/blessings-for-the-cured with the knowledge that I've but eventually it will bring only 2 things: Some good karma (from blessings and intention) and great Ego. And both of these did NOT fulfill any of my Spiritual wishes. But yeah, I'm doing karma. I remember the conversation of Suleman, where he was asked to sing some Kalam but he said that in his past life he sung so-many Kalam's but it didn't bring anything good. So, he doesn't feel like singing it again. Now here it doesn't mean that Kalam has nothing Spiritual, it was just the intention. Same way, I feel like all these debates, knowledge, skills are nothing. But you know, it's the theory that I try to live practically but sometimes I endup entering the debates out of my old habit of teaching/learning. So, this is the real reason to restraining myself. But let me put in brief about what I don't agree with you in this debate: Once a power multiples itself, then we can no longer call it with the same name as the original power. e.g Mud/Mitti when shaped and cooked in fire become brick; with the collection of bricks becomes house.......we normally at physical level don't call house a Mitti............. Same way we call ourselves human but still we're made of 5 basic elements. So, once Waheguru multiples Itself into Maya or whatever and then have had sex with Maya, then at the physical level we cannot say it was Waheguru's combination with Maya because free-will was at work at that level. Rest all Kaal, Akaal, Maya or whatever is just a name/identity. But at deeper level, everything is Waheguru as HIS jyot is in everyone.
  8. sat bachan ji....as I said before it doesn't mean anything either way....my mind is forcing me to act like this and yours is doing the same to you........both of us are missing the main point here and discussing what is not important.....main point is: we are His children, we are Him and we need to meditate to reach Him......without wasting a minute. Maan mahabale re........
  9. Let's look at from a different point of view. Waheguru created both Positive (contracting) and Negative (expanding) forces. e.g Electricity somewhere burns fire and somewhere congeals water into ice. The power is the same, but it has 2 expressions: one going into expression, and another receding back. Each has its own responsibility as given by The Waheguru Himself. When Waheguru wanted to go into expression, HE created 3 forces: Neutral (center), Positive (Akal contracting because eventually whatsoever has explanded needs to go back to source), Negative force (always expanding). Now, in order to create the world, the Negative force (Kaal) has to do sex with Maya (which does have the seed/secret of this creation). Now, the main Source/Waheguru has already divided Himself and we can't say Waheguru/Satpurash had sex with Maya; it is the waterd-down version of real purash with Maya. e.g All is frequency but frequency in certain range is called Ultrasonic waves but another is called Audio etc. ਕਾਲੁ ਅਕਾਲੁ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਇਹੁ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਬਧਾਵਨੁ ॥ Death, and deathlessness are the creations of our Lord and Master; this show, this expanse, is only an entanglement. For Kabir ji Kaal is simply death. That's it. Yes, Death is another name for Kaal. Anything that is born within Time is bound to die within Time. For Kabir ji Hari is supreme consciousness and Maya is the physical material world. Most of the religions are referring to Kaal as the God because he is also omnipresent. And actually it is easier for our mind to understand this e.g it is easier to swim with the flow of river to reach the bank vs swimming against the flow. For Kabir ji, when Hari has sex with Maya, he implant consciousness into the dead matter, which gives rise to living things. For Kabir ji, Maya is Hari's wife, and Hari is Maya's Husband - ਕਮਲਾਪਤਿ. Yes, Hari (normally referred to Vishnu - an incarnation of Negative power) is the husband of Maya/Illusion. ------------------------------- Moreover, in this world, there were and are always 2 kind of incarnations; Both type of incarnations have their levels Incarnations of Negative forces (e.g Ramaji, KrishanJi) and Positive forces. The responsibility of Negative force incarnation is to fix this world's problem but they cannot take our Souls beyond. The Negative power goes on punishing (karams), to set the world right and let it keep going - not depopulating, but so that it can continue to go on. Mind is the Negative power working within each man. Its work is always to keep us away from real God - to keep us awake in the world. The Negative power is very equal, he does not even spare the incarnations of the Negative power e.g Rama killed Ravana's brother; then Rama came as Lord Krishna and He was killed by a dacoit (who was Ravana's brother in previous birth) and thus fulfilling the karmic debt. The coming of incarnations of Negative power (mostly Vishnu) as Rama, Krishna means to punish the wrong and get this world going on. They are not capable of taking the Souls to Sachkhand. Incarnations of Positive forces: Whereas the incarnations of Positive power is only meant to take the Souls to Their Nij ghar. But in order to put in touch with incarnation of Positive power or say to put under the guidance of Positive power, one NEEDS to fullfill some karmas which is under the Negative power. In other words, going to Positive is NOT a jump, it's a gradual uplift from Negative to Positive. ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਉ ਜੁਰੈ ॥ Through the Guru's Teachings, fights with death. At the end of the day, all this is nothing but just an exercise of already diseased Mind because having OR not having a knowledge is nothing; it's just a matter of Me vs You. Savad te taa haan agar Raab da payara mil jave, magar vohe nahi milta.
  10. I just want to point out that in the above line "He" refers to the "Kaal/Time" and NOT the Waheguru; in other words, it is Kaal/Time and Maya/Illusion first sex which created the first 3 devtas and then the humans. But if we look more deeper, both Kaal and Maya are created by the Waheguru HIMSELF. More about this could be found in Bhagat Kabir's granth named as Anurag Sagar.
  11. that's a bold statement and sounds like coming from the one who knows everything....... your statement is like of scholar without practical knowledge: If the exhaust/silencer of a motorcycle is throwing lot of smoke, then definetely the problem is within the exhaust, right?..........No, the correct statement would be there might be an issue inside the working of engine due to which the smoke is coming as a symptom...............I think you got the idea where I'm going with this................If you study the energy deeply, then you would easily understand that a possesed OR person under the influence of negative entities does show the symptoms of mental problems but that does not mean that mind is the problem.....its just a symptom...............e.g if a Car is running erratically, then car is NOT the problem.......and problem is the driver who is driving it. I'm here NOT to promote or sell the idea of ghosts etc....as lot of other people have already suggested that these kind of experiences DOES underline the importance of Spirituality and that's it.....nothing more, nothing less. Moreover, visting grave is not the same for everyone. e.g A thief, a murderer resides in a jail; but the jailer, a doctor also visits jail....not because they are punished or something like that. They (doctor/jailer) have a different purpose. Same way, visting a grave could mean the following.......its' all about the intention. * Your Soul wants to show you that one day you will end up here, so do something when you can. Or * Your bad karma is pulling you there; where a negative entity is just waiting for someone like you who could be the executer of their will (they may want you to do something and you will do it without knowing) * You are there to help some negative entitity (but rare as one needs to be very high in Spiritual state). Or * Just something where our mind is not able to understand...but at the end of the day, it is the play of karma where we do NOT realize that we're just doing as written in our karma.
  12. let me ask you this: How many of you have spent couple of years in any village in India? By definition/dictionary Shaheed refers to someone who has laid out his/her life for the benefit of others in wars.....but if you've had a chance to spend some time in any village, then you would instantly see that these days people refer to Shaheed's place as the place where there is some cremation place with some power (good or bad). Some years back, Shaheeds were refereed as the Protective/Guardian Spirits (not ghosts) who help people, but nowdays people have tagged every place associated with wish fulfilling as Shaheed. The important difference is: * Ghosts (has its own levels) are negative entities who does posses power that they use to harm people and sometimes they also fulfill anyone's wishes (obliviously conditions attached) if that person can make the ghost happy or something. * Good entities (again has its own levels) are positive entities who always work under some higherup forces (mostly associated to Saints). Their intentions are always help us in our main aim (merging with God) but along the way they also help us (but within some protocol). They would NOT affect your free-will. * Wandering entities: who are just wandering (without physical bodies). Sometimes they act as good and sometimes bad......but their overall energy is almost negative. And all the above is coming from direct experience with both Good entities and Bad entities.
  13. Eventually all the forces of the universe (good or bad) are within the realms of mind, everything is in mind and everything is the mind.....that's true.............but as we do experience this physical body, same way there do exist bhoots/ghosts etc. They are part of 84 lakh joonis. But problem is: If you never experienced anything like that, then it's hard to understand that with your mind....... I'm saying this because I do have experienced this peronsally many times in my life. And my parents have experienced this much more.....but with the grace of Waheguru, we came out unscratched everytime.
  14. Admins: I guess it would be appropriate to ban these kind of topics......Meat, DasamGranth, Menstruation, Man-vs-Women, or any other This-vs-That.........it's so irritating when this is all you see on the forum. I guess we all do have better things to do........I admit that when I'm free, I do come to this forum, but these topics are so energy-draining.....obviously, I do have the option not to see it, but I don't know what the creator of these topics get by uselessly arguing over it. It seems like these days everyone (including me) is posting just THEIR own views and then defend THEIR own views.....why we're concentrating so much to teach OTHERS while we ourselves are illiterate (who works on the borrowed knowledge). Get over it guys and girls. Please spare us all. Raab de vastee.....
  15. For the record, I'm pure vegetarian......and I fail to see where did I say it's okay to kill if you want? Stop putting words in my mouth. What I meant was: Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian involves the killing but being vegetarian involves lot less karmic burden as compared to non-vegetarian. It implies that the debate on This-vs-That is useless mind's habit where we forgot that the real thing is be out of karmic cycle by putting the dhayan/concentration on that which will lift us Spiritually. Concentrating on Vegi as well as Non-Vegi would NOT make you or me Spiritually advanced. e.g If you're pure-vegetarian but constantly debates about the benefits of being vegetarians (non-killers), then your mind is still concentrating on vegi-nonvegi. Don't make This-vs-That your profession. Be wise to see beyond. And again, I'm a vegetarian and thinks that being vegetarian gives me somewhat more edge on the thoughts of the mind; because after-all: we are what we eat.
  16. Here you're again forgetting the reality. Paapiman is right that all foods (veg or non-veg) means you're killing something, even a grain of wheat does have a germ........the air we breathe also contains lot of microorganism which we kill after we breathe. So, that the way this damn universe works. It is just a matter of choosing which involves least amount of karmic burden. Otherwise, this universe's karmic cycle (matrix) is so vast, so complex, so strong that without the Kirpa/Grace it's impossible to break. e.g Our body does have millions of different kind of micro-organisms which survive only till we're alive and they are dead with our death. So, we've to give lekha/hesab-ketab (consequences for our deeds) because we forced the microorganism to die as we left our body (even though we've no control over our death). This is the bhav sagar/Matrix which we have to cross. In order to survive, we have to do karma.
  17. So true......those topics were responsible for leading me to register on this website. These days I think internet being easily available to younger generation to spend their free time and engaging in useless debates. Also, in general I've seen the rise of more rigid/katarpanthis in all religions which is the issue in itself. As per Rudolf Steiner internet/electronics is part/tool of the system whose responsibility is to deviate the already lost crowd into more superficial spirituality. It is upto to us to differentiate between Real vs Superficial. Yogi Harbhajan Singh used to say that in 21 century, people will have loads of knowledge available at their finger tips but they won't know how to practicality use it or don't know what to do with this knowledge. Chalo its just the way time works. There is only one permanent thing which is the Change. But really I love those days because personally my mind was more child like innocent but today he has changed for bad. Watch this song......I'm sure that everyone will find something near to their heart as per their level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjyGms4hBiw
  18. First and foremost, my response is NOT centered around so-called Man vs Women. Think in terms of 2 forces. I'm ***NOT*** interested in debating over who can do what, all these things are just a way of mind to divert the attention from the real task (which is to remember HIM). Nothing is possible without the combination of Male/Female (Positive/Negative [charge]) but each has its own place and responsibility. e.g * Male is the creator/donar but that creation is nurtured only by the female. * If we want to fasten something, we do need both Bolt (Male) and Nut (Female). * All the sciences/religions are created (relative sense) by the Man but their religion's first followers was almost always Females. * It is only female who could sustain a culture, cultures are lost in couple of generations if women stop to follow it. Bottom line is: Nothing is possible without the power of both forces. To indulge in useless talk about This-vs-That is nothing more than the useless/deceiving-exercise of the Mind; which is always played by the mind. Mind always play the games.........he is Malabali but could be put down to work for much better purpose.......Man Tu Jot Sarup Haan, Apna Mool Pehchan
  19. I think the forum should be available for everyone to read (no account or whatsoever needed). But in order to post or reply to anything, one should create an account......I don't think it's that much hard or lenghly process to create a simple account. That will save volunteer's time and will also filter the guests, I mean only serious (relative sense) guests will register.
  20. Forget about the "Sikhs" and the "World"; do we know who we (human) are? We are NOT 2 legs, 2 arms, 10 Indriyas etc.......we're something else, have we found out that? There is just One thing in us which could spell disaster but at the same time, the same thing could be utilized to get the inner knowledge and eventually with the Grace one could find the way out....... Any knowledge in this world is borrowed knowledge unless it is coming from inner-self. Saying and practically having that feeling are entirely different things.....e.g there is a story like this: Once a person goes to a Wiseman and asks how could he take care of his ox while he was meditating in cave, the Saint replied that if you're meditating then don't worry about the ox; just concentrate on your meditation. But the seeker insisted, to which the Wiseman said, okay when you're meditating concentrate on your ox...........the person did that and didn't come out of the cave for very long and thus his relatives started for searching him. They spotted him in a cave and asked him to return. The person said that I cannot come out because my horns are big and therefore cannot pass from the narrow entrance of the cave!!!!! This is the power of feeling and concentration, so be very cautious where you put it. It's not something that could be wasted.
  21. Excellent post BhagatSingh......do you have any recording where someone has practiced this accurately? Couple of years back while listening to Yogi Harbhajan Singh, he mentiond the same and also mentioned that it takes around 12 years to practice the sound of IkOngkar in a correct way....obviously, he didn't mean that it takes that long for everyone, he was making a point that the pronoucation of IkOngKar is not that simple that we normally do. There is one CD where one of his student has tried to pronounce the IkOnKar in the way Yogi Harbhajan Singh used to teach.....http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/ahw_2271_23596086 it is the 17 in the mentioned list. I've attached the same here if anyone is interested. Ek Ong Kar.mp3
  22. bhaji, tell me one simple thing: How would you take aim at sky/space (which happens to be infinite in this Universe)? I guess you cannot, you need to have some kind of object so that you can aim into. Same way, our goal is to reach Waheguru, but it starts by putting your concentration on something and in this case, it happened to be a Mala. We don't have to put concentration on Mala; its just a technique which helps to meet the target. Remember, if you want to cross the world of Maya, you HAVE to go THROUGH it.....in order words, everything we do is in the realms of Maya/Mind/Time/Space; so we're bound to use the techniques which are created in Time and Space (i.e Maya)........anything that is created will be destroyed after some Time. i.e anything born/created (Religions/Techniques/Caste/Creed/Anything/Everything) in the space of time is under the rule of Maya/Mind. The problem is that our mind cannot understand the infinity if we don't START with counting from 1. e.g Ship is meant to cross the ocean, but if you stick with the ship even after crossing the ocean, then you're considered mad. Also, if you don't board the ship (i.e don't start working on the mind because of this and that), then you're also considered as mad because you never started the journey to cross the ocean.......all are mind games. Lastly, the beautiful Gurbani quotes that you've mentioned, kindly read the whole shabads in order to get the essence of what GuruJi is trying to convey. Also, the essence of the above sakhi and numerous other just proves that the power is not in the words......but within ourselves which is exposed by the said word. That word is given by your Guru (e.g Waheguru) as per the student's capability. So, the purpose of the word is just to awaken your innerself. e.g If you study the basic 5 senses, you will find out that even a smell of something that you've eaten in the past, would take you to that old particular location. Same way.....
