  1. A teacher asks a student: Why Hindu Law does not permit Second Marriage? The bright student answers: Because as per Indian Constitution Article 20(2) - "No person can be punished twice for the same offence".
  2. This section was meant for light hearted jokes........but in reality, both Man and Woman are part of the same universe where duality is the primary force. If we want to cross this ocean, then we've got to learn how to traverse this duality. And where-ever (read everywhere) there is duality, it follows the following common rules: 1. Opposition: They constantly interact with each other, hence the alteration and development of an object. 2. Inter-dependence: They rely on each other for existence, coexisting in a singe entity. E.g If we look from space, we see that night and day actually coexist. 3. Mutual consumption and support: Positive and Negative each give of themselves to nourish the other. 4. Inter-transformation: Man can become Woman and Woman can become Man....one can change into the other, but it is not a random event, happening only when the time is right....may be next births depending upon the karmas. 5. Infinite sub-divisibility let me end this with another joke: Husband takes the wife to a disco. There’s a guy on the dance floor giving it large – break dancing, moonwalking, back flips, the works. The wife turns to her husband and says: "See that guy? 25 years ago he proposed to me and I turned him down." Husband says: "Looks like he’s still celebrating!!"
  3. Ek din Paapu ke Mummy se Paapu to mar pare... Paapu nu apne Pita se pucha, Papa aap ko mummy main kya dikha? Father said: Main te teri mummy ke til par maar mita. Paapu haas para and said.....Etni chothe se cheej ke lea, etha bara khatra mool le lea? --------- One day Paapu asked his father: "What did you like in my mother"? His father replied: "I saw a small black til/mole on her chin and it was Love at first sight". Paapu said to his father: "For such a small thing, you took so much risk/burden"?
  4. What is the use of Amrit (in the sense you guys are taking) if You (a mere flick in this universe) can break the Amrit? If a weak human being can break it, then what's the guarantee that it will help in next life or such. How could such a Amrit help you after this life? Core Sikhism was once a way of practicality in this kalyug to meet HIM, but nowdays Sikhism has been confined to kakkars; may be this is the Kalyug's way of deviating us from our core Sikh path. At last, I'm NOT suggesting that rehat is not needed..........but keep in mind that rehat in the first place was to keep us checked/disciplined. But if we create God out of rehat, then its Our problem and Not with the rehat. It's the same way, Mind was given to us to get work done from it, but in reality mind is instructing us.........Strange ways of kalyug to keep us in this loop.
  5. I guess, he is suggesting the color of muladhara chakra which is Red. In other words, he is suggesting to increase the activity of muladhara chakra. It is a huge and complex thing to deal directly with the Chakra System. If you increase one aspect of one chakra, then all the related aspects of that chakra would also increase. Just a thought.
  6. I think here BabaJi is referring to the dhatus as explained by Ragmaala. Ayurveda believes in 7 dhatus but Guru Granth Sahib Ji sometimes talk about 8 dhatus....may be the 8th dhatus is Nadis/Channels/Srotas (Subtle and Physical) through which all the fluids and energy is transported.
  7. I asked the same question couple of years back and have got couple of good responses and links from Kalyug veer. Here is the link to that thread.
  8. Pulse diagnosis IS must, therefore he won't send medicines via parcel. In that case, your best bet is to follow the steps that I specified in the previous message.
  9. Guest, if you happen to be in India, then I will suggest you to visit a AUTHENTIC Ayurvedic Vaid/Vadiya. I do know one whom I've consulted for my daughter. He used to tell the problems by using Pulse and he is very good at it. I do know many people who have got cured of many problems (of which modern doctors are unable to help). And he is very reasonable in regards to fees and there are many modern ayurvedic doctors who used to get their medicines from him. He has 2 biggest advantages: Accurate diagnosis and authentic (self made) medicines with traditional approach. Contact me on pm, and I'll give his number to you. He is in Himachal Pradesh (near Ropar).....4 hours drive from Ludhiana (Punjab)
  10. Follow this link for more information: http://satgur.net/Issue/Details/29 Just follow points: 3, 4, 5 (listed under Treatment of All of Men's Sexual Problems) If you cannot prepare "Charged Water [as explained in point # 5], then you can purchase the "Colloidal Gold" from the following link and take HALF teaspoon daily in the morning. http://stores.purecolloidal.com/colloidal-gold-monatomic-3000-ppm-16-oz-bottle/ Do NOT buy Colloidal Gold or any other colloidal materials from any other shop other than the stated above. Neither I have any association with the above store selling the Colloidal Gold, nor I earn any monetary benefit by referring their website and/or product.
  11. The video do NOT prove he was drunk; also the argument "if he was in sober condition then he would have fought very hard......" do not prove that he was drunk; this argument is just a generalizing based upon your current thinking without realizing the conditions of that time. Have you ever faced a mob with sword? I guess not (based upon my personal thinking) because there is a difference between bravery vs egoist bravery (foolishness). And if you say that a true warrior should fight no matter what, then obviously you have never faced the real situation. That's why strategy plays an important role in all wars. e.g a arrow could be fired by bow only if the string is pulled backward first. Again I'm not saying, he is guilty or not. I do NOT know. He may or may not have drunk. The whole point is: What is the truthful proof either way? Even in the past, lot of killings (1947) happened just because someone says that somewhere our community members are killed and therefore we should do the same. They didn't bother to check the facts. Keep your eyes open and mouth shut is the best mantra.
  12. Bhawant Mann has claimed that he was not drunk and he clarified it on facebook. So, may be he is right or may be he is wrong. It's better not to create a judgement based on half truths. There are many these day who are blindly accusing RSS, some are accusing badals, some are accusing some other foreign element. No-one knows what is the truth. Best option is NOT to create communal rift in Punjab by carelessly accusing common man of particular religion or generalizing the ongoings. We're living in bad times where we don't know what is truth and what is false; just like a mirage where we think that what is see is truth but it's not.
  13. He is excellent, damn good......I used to listen his discourses many years back but then forgot his name. He does not involve any typical religious discussions.....very spiritual oriented. The one poem at the start of this discourse is very good: Yeh meri arze hai, main vo ho jao jo teri marje ha [This is my request to You that I become what you want me to become] lafjo ka tota ha, jikar payrae ke askho se hota ha [It is just a matter of few words, but the discussion of the Lover is done by the Tears]
  14. I am NOT suggesting that one needs Dehghari Guru, actually I'm NOT suggesting anything, if you read Guru Granth Sahib Ji (WITHOUT THE history in mind), then it would be quite clear that Guru Ji HIMSELF (Sri Gruru Granth Sahib Ji) is talking about the necessity/need of Sants. Guru Gobind Singh Ji never said that Sants are not required. If a person really takes Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as his/her Guru, then he/she would be more looking for Sat-Sangat (company of the Truth - the ones who has already achieved something). In other words, if you're really a seeker and have taken Amrit to become Guru-Ka-Sikh, then isn't this a duty of student to listen to his/her Guru (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji)? These days, our thinking is: Take Amrit, do Paths and then declare that we have Guru and we don't need Sants. It's has become ritual for us and we never bothered to take a deep look into what Guru is saying. If a mere darshan of a real Sant can be beneficial (many references in Guru Granth Sahib Ji), then think about what would be achieved if we're able to serve Him? And here I'm talking about REAL Sants and not the ones who are in news for one reason or the other. Sant is - NOT the one who teach you - NOT the one who guide you - NOT the one who instructs you - NOT the one who gives you the meaning of Scripture(s) - NOT the mediator. The above mentioned ones could be Kathakars, excellent teachers, very high Spiritual state but NOT the Sants. Even though a Sant could do all the above but that is one of His techniques. Sant is - THE one who has come from the Dargah (Karak) to take the souls back home. - THE one who can produce many other Sants and give them any duty. - THE one which gives you an internal experience and then it is upto seeker to develop that. - THE one which gives us the Vivek budh using which we can try to see the real cause. i.e then we can look-within. self-introspection. e.g Once Arjun (excellent archer) heard about a old Saint who is known to be excellent archer even better than him. At that point of time, arjun already had all the education and training. So, arjun went to see him and requested him to teach him. The Sant said that I don't have anything to TEACH you, YOU already KNOW what is needed for the best archer. The Sant also mentioned that he has not taken the bor/arrow for the last many decades and the Sant asked arjun to go for a bath in river. Arjun and the Sant started walking towards a little pond; on the way they had to cross a very wek temporary rope bridge over the 2 mountains. The Sant asked arjun for his bow and arrow as he wanted to check if he remembered everything. The Sant walked on the rope bridge (which was moving side-to-side) and then stopped in the middle of the bridge to take the aim at one of the fruit hanging from the tree in the mountain. He hit the aim. Arjun was astonished at the Sant's feet. The Sant asked the arjun to try the same shot again from the bridge. It took arjun many minutes to just stabilize himself on the moving rope and he shot the arrow so badly that it didn't even hit the tree what to say about the fruit. Now, the Sant mentioned to arjun that arjun does have ALL THE KNOWLEDGE but still lacks the STABLENESS. In other words, Sant is The one which provides support to our Soul in this moving maya world. He gives us the spark which holds us stable and we need to develop that stableness further. HE cannot be found no matter how hard we try, no matter how hard we think, no matter how hard we do self-introspection, no matter how hard we look within. We cannot find the ONE which was never lost, HE IS here. BUT HE HIMSELF discloses HIMSELF when we've tried our best and eventually have Surrended......... [Karma, Surrender, Vivek]
  15. Sometimes English translations just loose the essence of the shabad. ਸਲੋਕ ਮਹਲਾ ੨ ॥ ਗੁਰੁ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਪਾਹੂ ਨਿਵਲੁ ਮਨੁ ਕੋਠਾ ਤਨੁ ਛਤਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਤਾਕੁ ਨ ਉਘੜੈ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹਥਿ ॥੧॥ --------------------------- ਮਹਲਾ ੨ ॥ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਕਉ ਬਖਸੀਐ ਸੇਈ ਪੋਤੇਦਾਰ ॥ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਦਿਤੀਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਮਿਲੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ ਜਹ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ਹੂ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਕਲਹਿ ਤੇ ਕੀਅਹਿ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ ਨਦਰਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਕਉ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ --------------------------- ਰਾਗੁ ਗਉੜੀ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਕਿਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ॥ ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਸੰਤੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਦੇਇ ਬਤਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਪੜਦਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਪਾਈ ॥ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਭੋ ਜਗੁ ਸੋਇਆ ਇਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਏਕਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਇਕਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਬਸਤੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਏਕ ਬਸਤੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਪੰਚ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ ਓਹ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਠਾਈ ॥੨॥ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਦੀਆ ਤਾਲਾ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਉਪਾਈ ॥ ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵ ਕਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੩॥ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਿਨ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥ ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੪॥ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥ ਸਹਜੁ ਭਇਆ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਠਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੧੨੨॥ --------------------------------- HOW THE TRUE GURU IS FOUND: Aka: How to unlock what Guru is really telling us. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲੁ ੧ ॥ ਧਾਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਧਾਤੁ ਕਉ ਸਿਫਤੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ਲਾਲੁ ਗੁਲਾਲੁ ਗਹਬਰਾ ਸਚਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਚੜਾਉ ॥ ਸਚੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੰਤੋਖੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਏਕੈ ਭਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਰੇਣੁ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਧੇਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਊਚਉ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਹਲੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਣੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਦਰੁ ਘਰੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਸਮਝਾਈਐ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਈਅਹਿ ਆਸ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਕਿਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਕੁਟੀ ਛੁਟਸੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਮਲੁ ਧੋਇ ॥੩॥ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਉ ਘਰ ਵਾਸੁ ॥ ਏਕੋ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਐ ਅਵਰ ਤਿਆਗੈ ਆਸ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਿਖਾਈਐ ਹਉ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਸੁ ॥੪॥੧੨॥ ------------------------ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗਣੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥ =================================== Basically, what I'm trying to say is that: Real Saints are must for the breaking the highest level. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is NOT the replacement of Sants. In-fact, there are many references in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji where is clear that Guru and Sant (real Sant) both are required and often inter-changeable (isn't this just a name tag). And this might be the reason that Guru did not write down the arths/translations of Guru Granth Sahib Ji: because TRUTH never changes but the seeker is always on change and therefore seeker needs a customized understanding as per their current level and that where Sants come to the picture. Sant is the one who has the key to unlock the treasure. So, how could we play-down-the-importance-of-Sants. I agree that these days a lot of not-so-high and some even fake Sants are present and these are the only type of Sant these days youngsters are exposed to. So, naturally the youngsters will be against these so-called Sants but this is leading our young generation towards the point where Muslims are: Katarpanthi and loosing the essence. Moreover, I've seen another brand of people who say that puratan Sants were perfect and today there are none and therefore they just do ninda of today's Saints. It is correct to say that there are less Sants (real) these days but we often forget that there is also the downwall of the real seekers. Why would we expect a Phd teachers in excess whereas there are very less students? After-all Sants come to help the Souls on the path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Shabad marg). So, bottom line is: when we're in lower grades e.g say in kindergarten then it IS okay to take lessons from lower grade teacher (keeping in mind that this is not the destination) and keep moving and eventually once we're ready, then we'll get the real understanding of Bani. Isn't it foolish to argue/blame/debate regarding the lack of true teachers or fake-teachers without relizing where we're standing on the path? These days, we put great stress on debates regarding rIght (MY version) vs wrong (OTHER's version.)
  16. Based upon your explanation, even the rachna/creation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji could NOT be achieved because HE cannot be explained. But yet Bani was written on paper? But, you're going in right direction that the rigid interpretation of the Truth (never changing) in this world of Maya (always changing) could not be achieved. Now the question is rigid interpretation is also required to reap the benefits; otherwise it is just the exercise of The Mind?? If we say, we need to dive deep within to find the Truth, then it's not possible to actually see the truth because of the limitation of mind. Some people say that self-introspection is possible, but how could we self-introspection with the mind. Reading and saying that truth is within vs realizing/waking THAT within are different concepts.
  17. It is our pind (Ghawaddi, Ludhaina) where this has happened. The lady is saying that she was paid Rs. 1 Lakh to carry this act but she is not disclosing the name who gave her the money. You never know who is saying truth.
  18. Before we further dive deep into it; let me state some of the facts first: Gurugaddi was given to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. No Dehdhari Guru was appointed. Most of the Gurus orally did arths of the Bani included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Prominent Sikhs during that time have incorporated those arths in their respective teekas.Yes, any Spiritual knowledge is supposed to be absorbed or translated by individuals as per their own level/mind/budh. [ ਆਪੁ ਆਪੁਨੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੈ ਜੇਤੀ ॥ ]Now, that being said, the question remains that if Gurus could write the Dargahi Bani then why did They Choose not to write the arths? Let's take another example which does not involve any religious scripture. e.g Someone visited a never ending treasure and now wish everyone to get benefit from it. He prepared a map which describes that the Source and Destination are the same and some other instructions regarding why/how/what one should try to get to the treasure but does not dictate the exact co-ordinates. Isn't his intention was to help all or he is trying to point out some missing element without which the knowledge of real map might not be understood.?
  19. Could anyone please share their thoughts on why Sikh Gurus did NOT write the katha/vikhaya of Guru Granth Sahib Ji? It would have saved the panth ALL the debates revolving around the meanings of Guru Sahib? After-all Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the teasure and what's the use of treasure without the key (meanings)?
  20. Paapiman, please show me where I've mentioned that this is the excuse to dance? Understand the realy point, as long as your mind is dancing but you're sitting (betraying yourself) in meditation, then what's the use? On the other had if someone is dancing by remembering HIM, then it is good. Yes, too much physicaly exertion (which does includes any type of dancing, exercising, running etc.) are known to put the mind on spin, but that doesn't mean one should stop exercising and thus missing the whole point: we missed the point that the all the problems are because of mind and all the solutions are to calm the mind. Walking on your interpretation, one would ban dancing, singing, music etc just like the Mughals did. Stop seeing everything in black and white. Here my point is NOT to prove or disapprove that bhangra and/or giddha is good or not. My point is don't put soo much pressure on do this vs that; this is allowed vs not-allowed. Otherwise, you're bound for failure because you didn't understand the purpose. Purpose is to calm the mind e.g Karma are NOT supposed to take one over the world, but you cannot live without performing karma. Therefore, always try to see good. So, let's try this today: BHANGRA. On a serious note, you and Satkirin seems to have so much time to post and repeat your limited point of view without ever bothering other's point of view. I wish if I could have so much spare time. I would be better if we all save this time of typing the mind shit to something better for OURSELF.
  21. Don't we ALL dance to the tune of our Mind/Desires/Maya??
  22. Satkirin, it sounds like you've serious misconceptions about the society in India and about men in general. If you've travelled and resided with an Indian family it does NOT mean you knew their culture better, you might have noticed that particular family's behavior and NOT their culture or behavior in general. You might have got the impression that in general woman are expected to stay at home, but that doesn't mean the society in general is like that. My mother was a vice-principle of school and her mother (my maternal grandmother) was a teacher in 1960s in India. And there were lot of females working even decades back. e.g if someone visits Detroit and make the general impression that people in USA are poor, living only on Government funds etc. then that person is wrong. In other words, if you're wearing black colored glasses, then you're bound to see the world in black light. See, the issue with torture or rape is NOT with the men or women. It's the issue with the degrading mind and society in general because of lack of moral education and NOT because of man or woman. A bad man or woman would do the bad whenever they get a chance, it's just a matter of chance where they (man or woman) can act according to their maligned desire. People say that education will help improve the society, I personally do NOT agree with this because the modern education is devoid of real education (which happens to be called Moral education). And regarding the recent cases of misuse of particular law against the male is growing at extremely fast pace. These laws were designed for the safe-guard of women but mostly these are misused by the women. I personally know a lot of cases like: - Our neighbors boy was slapped with dowry case because the girl's family wants money and then remarry. Eventually, he had to settle the case outside of court (obviously by giving the girl extra money) - From my friend's circle, a girl falsely accused her in-laws of dowry and when they confronted in court with lawyers; the girl slapped another case of sexual harassment on her father-in-law. - Again, a girl tortured my friend so badly that he had to end his life because the girl had already slapped a case of dowry and was threating to drag her unmarried sister. And you might be astonished that all (except one) of the girls in the above cases are highly/professionally qualified. These are just the case from the top of my mind in recent years. So, please take OFF your glasses and see the real cause and just don't start screaming Man vs Woman. This IS the issue of modern society/education/tv/grab-everything-you-want culture where both man and woman are equally exposed to.
  23. I guess we're all missing the core point here, which boils down to only 2 points: Food is the necessity of Human body, one needs food in order to survive. In other words "We eat to live and NOT live to eat".Grace and Good karmas are required for Soul's travel to its destination but Human Body's is the Soul's carrier. Therefore, try to do minimize the bad karma (be it drinking alcohol, plants, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, day-to-day work or anything you can think of) so your Mind can progress and go beyond it. Basically, everything has karma attached to it (including breathing because we ingest bacteria!!), so be cautious. Just try to minimize where you've knowledge and potential. In Gurbani, wherever any thing is mentioned (including the shabads referenced above), it is revolving around the above 2 mentioned points AT THE SAME TIME. You cannot just take one and leave the other. That's where BabaJi has mentioned that "The fools argue about flesh and meat, but they know nothing about meditation and spiritual wisdom."
