  3. its good that two random singhs had to do this, but the dal should have done it a long time ago. as long as its saves more girls from getting raped and singhs from getting tortured.

  6. does anyone know of his background? I am talking about the one who has done the tika of sri guru granth sahib ji as well as some other small books like 'Akal Ustat darshan'. I was looking through his Akal Ustat Darshan, and he seems very knowledge, is he from any Taksal or Sampardaie? thanks
  7. is the chautha state the same as turiya avastha?
  8. I remember hearing that a certain rehatnama or maybe even a tuk from sarbloh granth talks about how khalsa eventually goes beyond the 3 gunas. does anyone know? im looking through the rehatnamas now, will post when/if find it.
  9. the idea of taking shaheedi degh is about increasing your dhyaan but any thoughts tsingh?
  10. Baba Inderjit Singh, a student of the Bhindran Kalan Taksal, is known for taking shaheedi degh. But then again, he took amrit from Budha dal, and then moved to Bhindran to study Brahm vidiya, amongest other things. Any other thoughts? Do they think its not an advisable practise? Or are they really open, and its up to the individual?
  11. akaal, was wondering if nirmalay have been known to use shaheedi degh doing their simran or early morning bhagati. i have read baba jawala singh ji maharaj made some degh for a sick nihung singh to cure him, but nothing on any nirmalay using it as a tool for meditation. any ideas? (no need for the "its wrong")
  12. are the guru sahiban (who we all agree are one with Rab) not people who we are trying to imitate? in behaviour? in character? in lifestyle? if so, why would they do something which would lead us to doing paap?
  13. orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr could it not be the over emphasis on how people treat kakkars? kirpan has a reason to be worn, as well as kara, but most people don't understand why. kara was given as a shastar, as states gurbilas patshahi 6, and wearing shastar is needed if one wants to take that specific path of a soorma, nihung etc. i mean nirmalay have worn kakkars, but some are not strict on it, and its not considered a big deal. however if your a nihung and your outside without many shastar or kamarkasa on, then thats just disgraceful. i think its a matter of what path you choose to take.
  14. here is a link if one wants to read along with the translation, however mind you this is a translation of kathavachick so he does seem to miss a few things http://www.ik13.com/Ruts/SGPS%20Rut%205.pdf its on page 383 enjoy!
  15. In baba jagjit singhs book, society of sants, he talks about a nirmala who taught him most of his vidiya on other granths beside aad guru granth sahib. his name was baba suhail singh ji. he doesnt go into any lineage, but does anyone know what type of lineage does this baba have? thanks
  16. Here is the routine im starting tomorrow or monday. reps are 4-8 usually, but around 6-8 sets for each exercise. im going to be eating every 3-4hours, defiantly a very heavy protein diet with a good amount of good fats as well. day 7 is going to be either a rest day or a light cardio day. i am getting cardio when i go for training (we do many bodyweight/cardio exercises at krav maga and eskrima) Week 1 (4-8reps) (6-8 sets for each exercise) Day 1 - Chest - Flat Barbell - Incline Barbell - Flies dumbbell or machine Day 2 – Back - Deadlifts - Machine rows - T-bar rows Day 3 – Shoulder - Dumbell Presses - Barbell Presses - Raises Day 4 – Legs - Squats - Leg Press - Hamstring curls - Calves Day 5 – Triceps with Chest - Skull crushers - Dips - Dumbell raise - Close grip flat bench - Flat or decline bench barbell Day 6 – Biceps before Back - Curly bar – close (4sets) - Flat bar shoulder width (sets) - Preacher Curls - Hammer curls against a wall - Pull ups Week 2 (4-8 ) Day 1 – Chest (high sets) (4-8reps) - Incline Dumbbell press - Flat Bench Barbell - Flies Day 2 – Back - Barbell rows - Machine rows - Lat pulldowns Day 3 – Shoulders - Same, switch it up Day 4 – Legs - Leg Extensions - Squats - Hack squat - Hamstring curls - Calves Day 5 – Triceps before Chest - Same routine - Chest, close grip flat barbell - Decline / Flat Day 6 – Biceps before Back - Same as week 1
  17. your right, it was only in the late 1800s and early 1900 when you would see the gigantic dastar bungay. i think it was jathedar baba sahib singh, or during his time, where they started to wear the massively huge dumallay. however, don't confuse the gigantic ones with the other old school conical style dumallay.
  18. true we do very training specific when i go to class (i am taking commando krav maga), but i really need to gain some weight. i am just now getting back to my normal weight after a summer spent in india travelling which caused me to lose almost 2 stone if you could believe that. however, the weight i gained is not really as much muscle as i had before india. i guess im just going to have to divide up my sleep, we will see how this works.
  19. i'm not talking about big muscles for the sake of big muscles, but rather i'm talking about getting much stronger. my routine is mostly based on strength and not necessarly hypotrophy. i've been struggling to get into a good routine, i spent most of a summer in india last year and lost around 20lbs, cause of sickness and not eating as much as i should have. i am the same way, even when im not in a workout routine i have to be on the bike or running around or i feel really weighted down mentally and phsyically. gotta do something, either ping pong (haha for real this can get preety demanding depending what level you are at), tennis, or other sports
  20. to be honest right now i have a really rajogunic type diet and lifestyle, but i was wondering if i do switch to a very vegetarian satogunic type diet would this mix with weight lifting? im not about the phsyical benefit, i'm wondering if weight lifting, which releases a lot of testostorne, will go against the idea of living a satogunic type lifestyle? does anyone else work out atleast 1 hour a day with heavy weights, and still manages to get up at amritvela? i always found this very difficult, it was either one or the other, as if i was working out i need a large amount of sleep (atleast 8 hours). i know i could do other forms of exercises to keep fit, but currently i want to gain a bit more weight, right now i think im under my ideal weight
  21. singh saaaaaaaaaaab please do upload this again!!!!
