  1. I doubt you are not allowed to do more than 5 chandi di vaar paat a day as in Bhaini Sahib now there are continuous jap of Chandi di vaar, theyre aiming to get sava lakh done (125000)
  2. Mr Matharu was on sarangi not dilruba, and yes it was Sukhvinder Singh Namdhari aka Pinky performance was amazing, pinky explained how the Jori came about and the differences and some important KEY rababi names for any Gurmat Sangeet enthusiasts out there. Was worth watching, I did record it I was wondering, how do I get it onto a format that is available to all, at the moment it has been sky plus'd

  4. I was told recently that sikhs used to add another dohira after agya pai akaal ki, it mentioned that the raaj of the British should go on forever. Jug jug raj... and then mentioned 'topi wale' does any one know what this slogan was? Thanks
  5. is this the infamous 'ghostbusters' gurdwara in greenford, West London?
  6. thanks, you know anywhere I can get one posted out to me?
  7. Could some one list the books they have written on Gurmat Sangeet please? Thanks
  8. Does this thread include Bhangra tune replicating, I have a recording of Bhai Amarjit Singh singing Guru ji ke darsan in the latest Sukhshinder Shinda song tune (gum sum gum sum)
  9. Regarding the lack of mastanay in diwans is not due to the lack of naam simran, Ustad Harbhajan Singh has stated MANY times that Satguru ji doesn't allow mastanay to get to that stage in divans.
  10. I have heard Satguru Jagjit Singh say that certain shabads, i think it was 'paavan naam jagat meh har ko', sung in 18beats dhrupad, raag hameer(written in another raag, shabad starting with 'nar achet paap teh darreh') was from the time of Guru Ram Das, that composition, or maybe I heard wrong? That is why I thought that there were other raags allowed.
  11. Thanks Shaheediyan, I heard of the text before but didn't know anything about it. Is it accepted by Akaal Takht/mainstream sikhism or only applied to namdhari/kuka belief?
  12. As mentioned before in another topic, I mentioned kirtan sung by rababis in a different raag from what it is written in. What do people think about this?
