we all beleive in karma. but the question is, is there a way to stop and destroy our bad karma? In some lines of gurbani it says karma cannot be changed while in others it says it can be.

i had a quick question. Does it matter where you get Naam from. I was reading anand chamtkar bio of Baba Nand Singh Ji and there was a story of how guru nanak dev ji told baba jee to get a guru(guru-dharna). Does it matter who you choose as your guru(we all beleive in the biggest guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji) but does it matter what sant u get ur naam from. Like if u get ur naam from one sant is it superior to another sadhu?
