1. Paradise Found: A Documentary on Islamic Architecture (Channel 4 )

2. The Islamic History of Europe (BBC 4)

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=49...h&plindex=1

3. The Message: a movie about the life of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) with famous actor Antony Quinn

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=77...h&plindex=1

I am as usual expecting the usual Islamophobic comments, but I doubt the BBC, Channel 4 and Antony Quinn are all part of what some members of this forum call the "great Islamo-fascits conspiracy"

Enjoy and open your eyes and hearts.

I don't think anybody here hates Islam javanmard.

However, where there is something to rightly criticise, than there is nothing wrong in doing so. And that applies to the practices of the Sikh community as well as any other kaum

Watching this enthralling documentary, one inevitably wonders how Islam, a beautiful religion, could have become synonymous with fear and hatred, even after 9/11. Inside Islam explores the historic and poetic wellspring of the Muslim people and illuminates startling commonalities among Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Shades of difference between Islam's foundation and that of its counterparts prove more fascinating than divisive, e.g., Islam claims a direct line with Abraham via the latter's cast-off son, Ismael, while Judaism is linked to Abraham's more favored child, Isaac. Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and the angel Gabriel each play major roles in the Quran; it was Gabriel, in fact, who transmitted the Word of God to the 40-year-old, seemingly ordinary Muhammad in the 7th century, making him extraordinary to millions today. Sure, anti-Western sentiment creeps into the story, but in every important way Inside Islam is an antidote to gross anti-Muslim bigotry.

The Muslim Jesus (2007)

Summary:"The Muslim Jesus is not divine, but a humble servant of God. He was not crucified - Islam insists that the story of the killing of Jesus is false. He is, as it were, Jesus as he might have been without St Paul or St Augustine or the Council of Nicaea."

Another video on Jesus

http://www.guba.com/watch/2000942838?durat...811578e1e1076df

After the death of Jesus, his followers split into two factions. They held radically different views about their leader – his identity, his message and his vision of the future. One of those factions flourished under the guiding genius of St Paul – and eventually wrote its version of the story in the Gospels of the New Testament. The other faction withered and died away, leaving behind no written records. But what if the losers in this power struggle had written their version of the story? The Real Jesus Christ reconstructs that lost biography of Jesus: an alternative version of his life as it would have been told by those who lost the battle for the succession, but who knew him better than anyone else – his closest followers and his family..

The Story of God

Professor Robert Winston presents a definitive three-part documentary series on the history of mankind's quest to understand the nature of God.

The Story of God is an epic journey across continents, cultures and eras exploring religious beliefs from their earliest incarnations, through the development of today's major world faiths and the status of religious faith in a scientific age.

The series examines the roots of religious beliefs in prehistoric societies and the different ways in which humanity's sense of the divine developed.

There is a contrary argument which dismisses Muslim 'civilisation' as being the creation of non-Muslim non-Arabs.
