Iran Online Persian Library

Fateh!

Apparently this is the largest Iranian online library:

http://iranpoliticsclub.net/library/index.htm

There are some nice books on the site, some of which the site claims are currently banned by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Edit: the link above should allow you to access the library of texts in English as well as those in Persian. There are also a few other goodies on the site. Most of the interesting books are in Persian, but it's worth looking for translations of them in English on the web. You may find a few of them on rapidshare and torrent sites.

Enjoy,

K.

Whoops found something! Ignore last post!

What, you mean you can't read Farsi? ;-P

I've amended the link so you can access the English library as well as a few other treats.

A nice sample of anti-Islamic and taghooti literature. And as expected the first author mentionned, Ahreeman X, bears the name of Satan in the Zoroastrian tradition. admin cut. It's pretty interesting that the "Online Persian library" doesn't contain Rumi, Hafez, Ruzbihan Baqli, Tusi, Khosrau, Firdawsi, Saadi etc the classics!

What an utter and complete joke!

Ishraqi

(1) What is taghooti?

(2) Is there any online place I can get the classic literature you mention (English translations)?

I think Firdausi was quoted in Zafar Nama.

The classic literature mentioned by Ishraqi should be read in the original Persian. All of the English translations are unsatisfactory because of the limitations of the English language and the difficulty in accurately rendering the metaphysical concepts described in Persian mystical poetry.
