Early Christian Mysticism

"Discover the transformative wisdom at the origins of Christianity developed in the deserts of Egypt and Syria. These practical teachings handed down through the Apostles and the illumined Elders of the first centuries have been lost to the Western world for a thousand years. Return to the source where the spiritual power and pristine revelations of the Christ provided a timeless healing and enlightenment for the soul in search of meaning and Truth."

The guy in the video is talking about early Christian mystics. The saints featured in the video were described to have personal experience with God. The saints believed that the idea of gaining knowledge of God was through theses person mystic experiences. The video also says that the Christian Chruch became corrupted and controlled by people of power.

"Be at peace with your own soul, then heaven and earth will be at peace with you"

"Enter egerlly to the treasure house that is within you, so you will see the things that are in heaven, for there is one single door"

Thanks for that mate.

Older schools of Christianity- Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Greek Orthodox Chruch, etc have fascinating aspects that most sikhs would recognise

use of malas (rosary), prominence of Virgin Mary (Adi Shakti), Christ washed the feet of his disicples (Guru Nanak saying he is the dust on the feet of saints), Theosis (absorption into God).

The Greatest Commandments

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Matthew 22:37

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' 38"This is the great and foremost commandment

Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

All the Saints and Mystics have mentioned that we must chant the Lord's name, the most vital thing humans have is breath which gives us life. Chant the Lord's name with your breath.

Strongly advise you to watch this video with open mind.
