African-American Christianity

I watched this the other day and thought it was really good. The focus of the documentary is the religious background of America, especially in relationship to the political and social landscape. It traces the religious development of Barak Obama. I think it is a really good examination of the power of religion in politics, something familiar to Sikhs through the concept of 'Miri'. Can we learn anything from this active 'vibrant, politically engaged' social gospel?

Not sure if you can see it outside of the UK, plus you only have a few days to view it on iplayer. Take some time out and watch if you can.
