When I looked up ਵਿਕਾਸ, I came across definitions related to that for ਵਿਕਾਸਸ਼ੀਲ i.e development, progress, rise, expansion, evolution for the former and developing, progressing, progressive, evolving for the latter. Looking up economics, I came across: ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ, ਅਰਥ-ਵਿਗਿਆਨ; ਅਰਥਵਿਵਸਥਾ. Economy is ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ, ਆਰਥਕ ਦਸ਼ਾ, ਅਰਥਚਾਰਾ; ਬੱਚਤ. When I came across the word ਵਿਕਾਸਸ਼ੀਲ it was used in a way that referred to the development or growth of understanding. Andolan is what we would now call a lehar, it means a movement. Yep. Brothers, I swear this letter (lalla pahr bindhi) never existed when I learnt the alphabet as a kid? But you see it quite frequently now. Can anyone shed some light on this.
