Then we'll give the whole thing another once over (in Panjabi), incase we missed anything, or made a mistake. To be honest, I'm in two minds about an English translation simply due to the way the piece is ignorantly embedded with multiple instances of negative terminology for the 'dark skinned'. Our people already have enough of a propensity to sniggering, sneering nastiness. I don't want to feed into that. If we do translate it, I wouldn't want to publicise it at the very least. We started it in February and have finally got to the end more than 5 months later. lol (end of the first draft anyway!) Please scrutinise the text below for errors. There was one word I couldn't make out whatsoever at the end (the one after 'desh parie ranee') and I'm not too sure if the 'muntha' is correct either (in the 6th line UP from the bottom) because I couldn't find it in my dictionary?? I'm going to give this project a short break for a while (a few weeks at least) whilst I concentrate on another translation I want to do. Make any improvements you can in the meanwhile. Maybe pull all the verses together in one post if you can/want?
