They believe in brotherhood but they believe in only muslims are brother and they have to kill non muslims. dalsingh101 Posted January 8, 2015 Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) Whatever the truth about Islam's fundamentals: not every person considering themselves a Muslim is some evil concubine wanting pedophile, nutjob. Some of them was just born into it and do that psychological thing where people twist their heritage in the best light possible. Sure there are plenty of extreme sullay; but there are also plenty who are probably lamenting recent atrocities and are petrified of the fundamentalists (but too dis-empowered, scared or weak to seriously consider facing it within their own community). I think Panjab is a really important area in terms of the the way it remains an exemplar of a region which had to deal with radical Islamist fundamentalism. I think by the time of M. Ranjit Singh we had got it right. I think we should also explore the possibility that subsequently introduced European mindsets/ideas of religion and politics played a central and instrumental part in the regression of Panjabi Muslims into what they have become today.
