don't want to add to this debate of meat because Gurbani says Maas Maas Kar Moorakh Jhagre. So there is no point.

But I want to ask what has meat got to do with being a soldier or being able to fight? No one can deny that the Shaheed Singhs in 84 were all vegetarian while the meat eating Nihangs were scared to fight and joined Indira Gandhi. So what does this prove? Ironically the few Nihangs who did fight and become Shaheed in 84 had also become vegetarians after doing Sangat of Sant Jee.

I'm not saying meat eaters are not brave. But the point I'm making is, it is the Power of Baani that makes Sikhs brave not their diet. One should take notice of the amount of Baani Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale used to read everyday. Besides Nitnem, he recited entire Panj Granthi and also 100 Japji Sahib Paaths besides reading many Angs of Guru Granth Sahib Jee daily. With so much Bhagti one acquires a great amount of Shakti. This is what made Puraatan Singhs so brave and fierce fighters.

singh 1984/GtLoc, where do you get such amazing facts from?

All SSs were vegetarian and ALL Nihangs were/are carnivores - genius.

It's jonny post, He gets amazing facts from Sonia Gandhi.

Sher maybe an unpaid person and troll, who's paying you for this?

Nihangs were too scared to engage in battles, all singhs were vegetarian?

You get your stuff from Dera Sacha Sauda right?

edit - You need less of the green vegetables (white ones, and poppies are also bad for you).

Yeh, seriously.... it doesn't have to be street drugs because there are plenty of people hooked on prescription meds and they don't even realise it !

HAHA that's true. I have an Aunt who takes these prescription medications for the smallest of things and she's hooked but she doesn't even realize it.

Mind you there were Nihung elements in Darbar Sahib on that fateful day, Ajaib Singh Mahakaal, Nihung Rasaal Singh; who can guarantee they were vegetarians? Some crappy ass dim-witted author? But if you do want to stick to your view very ardently than go onto that other forum. In a way the fact that the Nihungs attempted to broker peace with the Indian state was a good move. Look where Akalis and crew got us when we followed them.

I heard that under the influence of Sant Jee's sangat, many Nihangs had become vegetarians.

Anyway, my response was not to insult Nihangs. I respect them for their dedication to Rehit. I only wrote this in response to Singh1984 who said meat eating is for warriors while vegetarian diet is for peaceful types like Nirmalas and Udasi sadhus.

Said that is what it influences, which is accepted. What bhaji above said, many nihangs were there.

I take issue with the attempt at disparaging our Nihang brothers. I wasn't born then, and what I know is that Baba Santa Singh ji, had issue with Akali Dal in morcha.

Baba ji, had issue with not launching it from Anandpur.
