Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee is greater than Vishnu jee/Shiv jee/Other Deities

Recommended Posts

Just now, amardeep said:

An ocean does'nt need to prove to the river that it is greater.

You are right bro, but if a pseudo scientist claims that a river is bigger than an ocean, then he needs to be corrected.

These myths that Sri Satguru jee was an Avtaar of Vishnu jee or Sri Satguru jee worshiped Mata Durga jee, need to be tackled effectively.

Brahma jee, Vishnu jee and Shiv jee are Ishwars.

What is a Ishwar? Ishwar is composed of three things:

  • Maya
  • Pure Satogun
  • Almighty Waheguru's jot

By comparing Avatars we are somewhere demeaning the purpose of Akaal Purakh...at a particular time what an Avtar had to do as in the message to be given is what i feel the purpose was and would be in the future.

We are to connect with Akaal rather than the Avatars of any religion, this is what i feel and Akaal knows the best.

In the small audio clip below, Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaaj is compared to Sri Ram Chander jee. This will again illustrate the power of our Satgurus to eliminate the mighty vices, as compared to other deities.

Below is a passage from Sri Sooraj Prakash Granth (narrated by Gyani Inderjeet Singh jee Raqbewale). Some Sikhs came to Sri Satguru jee (Fifth master) and mentioned that some people quarrel regarding Sri Satguru jee (First Master). They said that some people say that Sri Satguru jee (First Master) was the incarnation of Raja Janak jee, while some others say that he was the incarnation of Sri Vishnu jee. They requested Maharaaj to clear their doubt. Sri Satguru jee (Fifth Master) then explains them about Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaaj.

Another interesting passage from Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee (Sri Chaubees Avtar). Sri Satguru jee (Tenth Master) clarifies the status of Vishnu jee in Gurmat, before describing the tales of his incarnations.

Brahma and others have got tired in knowing Thy end

Who are the helpless gods Vishnu and Shiva?

The sun and moon also meditate on Thee

Therefore Thou art known as the Creator.

From Sri Aasaa kee Vaar Sahib jee

O Nanak, the Lord is fearless and formless; myriads of others, like Rama (Sri Ram Chandar jee), are mere dust before Him.

Another historical sakhi (from Amir Bhandar) from the life of Sri Satguru jee (First Master), which will prove that Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaaj is the the giver of liberation. Brahma jee, Vishnu jee, Shiv jee, Indar devta and Maya all guide a Pandit to the greatest master of all.

It is true, that each avatar comes with a specific role to play according to Nature, all act acordingly to the one Hukum of Akal Purukh, but in the end, whichsoever Yuga it maybe, it is all chaurasee ka chakar.

So irrespectively, whosoever comes, it is not by that particular form  in that period of time, that one is carried to the consciouss  level of that deity or avtaar of devlok, Swarg or Baikunth, or  even to the highest abode of Guru Sahiban.

Because it is the method, the parsad they give, which takes us to that goal, that destiny.

We by ourselves are limited,  so we can not judge or differentiate what is superior or not, it is only by applying the Bani, we can make that discernment.

Third Patshahee, refering to the topic in this thread, beautifully and  in one simple verse, rescues us from our doubt.

He says:

Vin Naavai, Ko Mukath N Hoe
Without the Name, no one is liberated
Raag Gauri Guaarayree Guru Amar Das

This means, be it any yuga, and if one does not hold on to the one Nam, one wil remain drowned in the Maha bhavsagar.

In conclusion, if that avtaar, does not impress on the beings of that era, to search and hold on to that on Truth of Nam, to be ferried across, that avtaar, howsoever powerful may appear to be, is not worthy of any devotion of ours, not because it is not respectable, but because does nothing positive, to reunite us with our origin: Wahiguru Akal Purukh.

Sat Sree Akal.
