Please listen to Sant Baba Makhan Singh jee (Head of Amritsari Taksaal) narrating a sakhi from the life of Srimaan Sant Baba Attar Singh jee Mastuanaywale. Another instance, when Babajee demonstrated great example of humility.

In the Katha below by Gyani Inderjeet Singh jee Raqbewale, Gyani jee narrates a real life incident which was shared by a person with him. This is not directly linked with this topic as it mainly illustrates how people have to stoop so low in order to keep their jobs. But, Daas really liked the part when Gyani jee mentioned that if we develop this kind of humility in Gurughar, we will attain liberation.

From Sri Aasaa Kee Vaar Sahib jee

With loving devotional worship, abiding in humility, O Nanak, salvation is attained. ||2||

Quote

The passage below follows a passage wherein Guru Gobind Singh mentions how Indra's downfall was due to his ego. This is written within the Sarbloh Granth, following the defeat of the demon Beerajnad and before all the Devi-Devtey [Demi-Gods] come together to praise Sarbloh Avatar.

For this reason Gursikh, never ever allow your body or mind to assume egotistical tendencies.

Humility and Forgiveness; all the realized people stress that you should nurture your love for these two traits within oneself.

Devote yourself to love immersed worship, service to the Saints, and the utterance of Hari's Name day and night with your mouth.

Wear this attire which shall carry you across this ocean like world; and impart this same teaching to your fellow Gursikhs.
