Sangat jee: Please do share those verses, where a Bindi (dot) can lead to Ashudh Ucahran or vice-versa.

ਮੰਨੈ ਮੁਹਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਨਾ ਖਾਇ ॥

Incorrect Pronunciation - ਚੋਟਾ  - bull

Correct Pronunciation - ਚੋਟਾਂ -  blows/strokes/strikes

Awesome thread!

I agree the hidden bindis not only affect meaning but also pronunciation. We ought to pronounce the words with the hidden bindis as we would if the bindi was there.

But I am wondering where are you getting your definitions from?

ਸਾਈ does not mean that. ਸੋਈ means that.
ਸਰਾ does not mean all. ਸਾਰਾ means all.

Please provide your source. I don't think these meanings are correct.

These are the arths of ਸਰਾ:

  • Sarovar (pool)
  • Saresht (top level)
  • Baann(arrow)
  • Short form for Alcohol
  • House
  • Motel
  • Straight path
  • Maryada

Gurparssad, will try to confrim that it means "all" too.

I think here ਸਾਂਈ is correct uchaaran. ਸਾਂਈ doesn't only mean owner but it is also another name of Vaheguru.

You have a good point bro.

Gurparssad, Daas will look into it.

JFYI, OWNER in Gurbani refers to Sri Waheguru jee.
