Bro, what happened to Jattworld.com?

Bhul chuk maaf

It went to the toilet where it belonged.

All you got on there was jut supremacism, laughingly presented as some intellectual debate.

Paaji, can you please post the Punjabi screenshots? Daas does not have the teeka of Pandit jee.

Bhaji screenshots are a pain in the backside to do. There is a very good pdf of a teeka of Sri CharitroPakhyan on the net. Have you seen that? It's more detailed than Pandit Ji's.

This pdf teeka also gives more info about the names used for the characters, which is a point you brought up. Nice one bro, we should look into the names as well as they give us more info about what is being discussed.

What do people think of this article on the concluding charitar?

"This is the ultimate aim of the creator of Sri Dasam Granth – to bestow women with power, to raise them from pits of helplessness and sexual exploitation and establish them at a level of power much higher than that of men. From this revolutionary successful attempt of Guru Ji, brave and powerful women like Mai Bhago, Bibi Harsharan Kaur, women like those who lived in brutal conditions of the prisons of Mir Mannu, those who kept their devotion unwavering for Guru Ji even while having garlands of chopped babies around their necks, those who braved strenuous labour in captivity chanting ‘Satnaam’, were born in Gurughar out of the bright flames of Chandi. By referring to women by names like Chandi, Bhagauti, Tulwar, Teer, Guru Ji blessed them with form of Maha-Chandi. In Guruji’s composition “Sabudh Baach”, protagonist ‘Baala’ has only one objective – to marry the lord of universe – Waheguru Ji. There is absolutely no affect of sexual urges on her body, mind and spirit. She has become like the soul whose only aim is to be one with The Supreme-Purity.:

ਫਿਰ ਜਿਯ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥ ਬਰੌ ਜਗਤ ਕੇ ਪਤਿਹਿ ਸੁਧਾਰੀ

Then she considered in her heart – I will marry the lord of this universe.

Is it fair or right to strip women of any sexuality?

Did you read the article? Its interesting though maybe a Little far fetched in Places. I think Robin Rinehard has a similiar analysis in her Dasam Granth book on that particular charitra

I did, it was a very interesting interpretation. I'd have to look at the original text in more detail though. Thing with that take is that it sort ignores a realistic consideration of human needs in relationships. Is it encouraging humans to live an asexual life? If so, what are the implications for Sikh society and family units?

It's split into several folders but is very good to use. Can you use screen shots from this pdf as well as Bindras when you put up future stories from Sri CharitroPakhyan please ?

Bhul chuk maaf.

@paapiman  @amardeep

Some time back Paapiman in his wisdom spoke about antriv arth of Sri CharitroPakhyan Granth. I know we laughed at him (sorry bro) but it seems that he may be having the last laugh. Watched this on youtube earlier. It is Charitar no 5 by Gurpreet Singh California ( i think). This Gurpreet Singh has been vilified by the Sangh Sabha (affiliate of Sangh Parivar) over the last few weeks on facebook, because he used to be a hindu. Gurpreet Singh has given some more deeper insights into this sakhi, including the name of the characters involved. Something that Paapiman also said we should be looking at.

Bhul Chuk Muaaf Mahant Paapiman 108 Ji.

This Charitar is about an innocent woman (with a spiritual bent), who has been victimized/sexually exploited, by an impostor. The King's son showed his chivalry, by rescuing her from that person.

Bhul chuk maaf

There are two interpretations of this Charitar. One projects the lady as a promiscuous person, while the other showcases her as a victim.

IMHO, we should accept both, until a Gurmukh Brahamgyani rejects one.

It has already been rejected by 108 Sriman Sant Baba Santa Clause Singh Ji Maharaj.

Where is the proof that the scribes of Charitropakhyan, internally identified as Raam and Shyam were pen names of Guru Gobind Singh?

Isn't is a strange coincidence that Shyam was also a poet at the Guru Darbar (ref: Mahima Parkash 1776, Bhai Nabha et al).

Asking to block the truth (or lets say differing opinion), good job Paapi

As far as I know, I haven't demeaned the Charitars for their dirty language or content but alright. Maybe it gives pseudo scholars admin cut an ego boost to talk nonsense when no one has the knowledge to question him. Have fun guys, pat each others back for the tremendous research and critical approach you take towards topics pertaining to religion. Reading everything with preconceived notions. Can't see that Bhai Nabha was anti Charitars but directly have to find reasons 'why could he have been anti Charitars?' while no one ever wonders 'why is this 19th century pro Dasam Granth?'. If you have little shame left and are honest with yourselves, you should ignore the cognitive dissonance and actually STUDY instead of interpreting everything in a certain light.
