Gurbani mentons Balmeek, who was a highway murderer but his intentions were to feed his family. ie. he wasn't robbing in the name of greed. The income question is with regards to someone, who in the future is contemplating to work in a grocery store such as Walmart etc. These stores sell meat and maybe alcohol. Sometimes ppl are working in odd jobs such as taxi, truck driver, security gaurd. The nature of kal yug is such that you will be involved directly or indirectly with anti-maryada products (meat, shraab, tobacco). Whats ur take on it. Hor visthaar naal samjhao gyani ji. Ganika was prostitute and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession. Ajamal married a prostitute and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession. Bhagat Sadhna was a butcher and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession. So many other examples. Touching meat, marijuana and alcohol should not be a big issue. We should avoid touching or selling, products containing tobacco, as much as possible. Remember, consuming tobacco in any form is a cardinal sin, while consuming Jhatka meat, alcohol and marijuana are not. But, consuming alcohol is not allowed in Gurmat.
