Honest means is not the answer. In fact, it's only a small fraction. You can be an honest robber or murderer. Gurbani mentons Balmeek, who was a highway murderer but his intentions were to feed his family. ie. he wasn't robbing in the name of greed.

Check the Balmeek story and what Bhagat bani says to get a better understanding of the role of" consciousness and awareness of Truth" that is relative to Balmeek, the murderer/robber and even Ganka the prostitute.

Thank You Paapimaan ji, That video was EXCELLENT. I listenned to it very attentively.

The income question is with regards to someone, who in the future is contemplating to work in a grocery store such as Walmart etc. These stores sell meat and maybe alcohol. Sometimes ppl are working in odd jobs such as taxi, truck driver, security gaurd. The nature of kal yug is such that you will be involved directly or indirectly with anti-maryada products (meat, shraab, tobacco). Whats ur take on it.

I also know some Punjabis who are owners of Gurudwaras and at the sametime own stores that sell tobacco, alcohol and now even marijuana is legal 😮😮 Kal Yug is everywhere.

Hor visthaar naal samjhao gyani ji.

Ganika was prostitute and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession.

Ajamal married a prostitute and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession.

Bhagat Sadhna was a butcher and saved, but Guru ji didnt sanction the profession.

So many other examples. Just bcoz Guru Ji helped the person, it doesnt mean that the profession was given approval.

Touching meat, marijuana and alcohol should not be a big issue.

We should avoid touching or selling, products containing tobacco, as much as possible.

Remember, consuming tobacco in any form is a cardinal sin, while consuming Jhatka meat, alcohol and marijuana are not. But, consuming alcohol is not allowed in Gurmat. Gurmat also promotes lacto-vegetarian diet for most Sikhs (the exception being Nihang dals, Hajuriye Sikhs, etc).

Since when & according to whom?

4 cardinal sins (Nihang Maryada):

Hukka – Consumption of tobacco in any form.

Hajamat – Cutting hair (by any means) from any part of the body.

Halalo – Consumption of Halal (or Kosher) meat in any form.

Haraam – Any form of sexual activity, outside of marriage.
