Neglected Puratan Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib

Recommended Posts

This is a saroop that was featured on Sikh Channel last week. It was kept by Sindhi Sikhs and was neglected by them. They failed to do parkash of it for a long time which resulted in moisture getting into the angs and then termites finding their way in as well. The termites have considerably damaged the saroop.

The saroop was bought by the Damdami Taksal and is currently under the the process of being restored. It will take about 1 and half years at a cost of some lakhs.

Apologies for pictures not being as clear as I'd hoped.
