But they are not dressed in white with kirpans, have they been baptised yet?

What difference would that make?

Would it help them be better saints if they wore white, or if they wore a sword and if they got initiated with khande di pahul into some panth?

The answer is No. Wearing certain clothes, wearing swords and taking khande di pahul is helpful for beginners who have no idea what spirituality is. It is their initiation into a spiritual path. That's where their journey begins. They are just beginning to walk on this path.

People who have already attained high states of being don't need these things. They are getting close to completing their path. It would not make any difference what they did. As Kabir ji says, "they could have long hair or shave their head bald."

Before wearing white and kirpans was a thing, holy people wore malas and carried shaligrams, the signs of a saint. They looked very holy. But some people who wore these things, were not holy and in fact they were harmful, they were fakes. Guru Sahib tells us that these outward signs are problematic because sometimes they may not reflect the wearer's inner state.

So do not rely on these outward signs alone. Eventually you must look past this.

Khanday da Amrit is a must bro, for people born in Sikh families, irrespective of their spiritual levels.

Have you heard of the sakhi of Srimaan Sant Baba Attar Singh jee Mastuanaywale's Mata jee?
