If poverty is responsible for suicide then India , Bangladesh , African nations would have been topping the charts , but that is not the case. There are places in world where people starve to death but don't commit suicide.

One need to find the cause what is driving  these people to commit suicide? One possible reason could that they have lesser income than other Canadian so they must be feeling worthless

ever hard of residential schools? the legacy of the schools combined with other colonial-era laws and neocolonialism is why theyre committing suicide --- this is a very basic answer. delve into it yourself and you will see.

there are many similarities in residential schools and SGPC/SinghSabha--- lie to people about their history, change how they perceive themselves and detach them from their roots.

Sikhs' root is SGGS.  Many have tried to extinguish Sikhism, and many more will try unsuccessfully.  Since the root cannot be destroyed, Sikhs will keep sprouting out of it.  Any Sikh who is connected with SGGS remains in chardi kala.
