  1. First of all, obviously I am not high spiritual level, but I have come a long way in the last couple years, and especially the past couple weeks I have been progressing like a rocket. There have been many mistakes I made, and much I have learned. I want to share this with you all, and I hope this will be helpful. ----------- Start making values and rules and don't go back on them. Some easy but very helpful ones are to; not watch tv, movies, shows or listen to songs. Instead listen to katha and kirtan. In my free time, I don't ever watch this, if nothing to do, just sit outside alone

  2. this one got me! During my nde in coma, I also came back from the court of dharmraj. Was instructed to go back and -nam jap- these were the 2 clear words. I came back and spent a few years from 2011 to find out what real nam jap is and what I should be doing. I'm on the bhagtee marj but I still have loads to to. Thing that shocked me was the man in video who had been sent back was told he'd got 10 years to go and jap. I wasn't given a time but it is now 2021.. nearly 10 years since the incident.. This is like a kick up the backside because i've got so may things to do in bhagtee and stu

  6. TBH, I've never talked too much about it in great detail.. I never even told my mother because she was way too drowned in maya. But I can tell you there are many fictional and fake versions out there, so you have to be careful what you read. It was quite confusing for a few years because there were also a lot of things happening whilst I were in the month long coma. It took quite a few years to make sense of it since I'd also suffered significant brain and spinal injuries. Did I believe in judgment day, the court or an after life? I don't think I did, but probably believed in some

  7. So when you go to an MNC office do you wear your sleepwear ? or are you formally dressed? Is showering, dressing formally a ritual or a requirement? The statement that "why you need rules and regulations for remembering God and Guru"? is simplistic and inconsistent with Guru Sahibs hukams. Guru Ram Dass has specified in his hukam in Guru Granth Sahib....Gur Satgur Kaa Jo Sikh Akhaey...So Bhaal keeah Utth Haaar Naam Dhiavery...(ank 306) .Guru Sahibs hukams are get up early (is that a ritual? or a requirement?) There is no higher or lower. It’s only until you literally put your head on the floor and accept your self as shit as the Gurus themselves accepted themselves as lowly worms, that you start truly loving. I’m by no means perfect at all. I accept myself as shit. I’m just a sinner, we all are without Him. For without Truth, we live in ego, I wondered around for years in fear etc. it actually took me ages to accep

It is a more like a dairy that documents our journey to understand simran, the inner journey and what we are learning and experiencing along they way by a number of individuals. The posts contain subtle hints that may help someone in the future. We might not have all the answers today but as I see in my own journey things I read 10+ years ago are presenting themselves again via different channels. There is some hidden truth out there which I don’t fully understand yet but I hope I am making slow progress in the right direction.

@harsharan000 and @Sikhilove Interesting topic. Without butting into a debate, I have to say that as per my understanding of "truthful living" and good deeds; I would agree with @harsharan000 . @Sikhilove, let me explain below on why I come to this conclusion. Doing good deeds falls under the umbrella of Satogun behavior.. Remember that maya is divided into tamogun, rajogun and satogun. >the 3 gunas of maya.. Since maya is the creative illusion, it is also in a continuous flux of motion. Sometimes we call it Kaal's desh since this motion is relative to Time and Space. Howe

If you practice a mantra, any mantra, with the aim of getting power, anger or anything related to the five thieves or ego then it is not naam. Naam is your 'true self', the Satnaam. Man tu jot swaroop hai, aapna mool pachaan. The examples of abuse Sikhilove is making above refer to people who get some amount of power and use it for personal gain of some sort. You probably know enough already to walk quite far down this journey. Now work on the practical building not the theoretical understanding unless you need your battery charging. I should also practice what I preach HaHa. You shouldn't really have too many questions for Gurmukhs unless your having simran problems or experiences that you want to share or discuss with them. Honestly they get fed up with people calling them all the time. Don't become one of those. Keep it once every few weeks or months. Then they love to hear from you, and see how your getting on. Guys, you really don't want to fall in this entrapment. The Mind is too easy to tempt into different directions. Grabbing tips from x,y and z will only make the mind race and prevent it form stabilizing. One's daily conduct has to be done with a steady mind. How you go about in your day reflects how easily you can go into sehaj and steadiness in simran. Keep it simple, have faith and be prepared to give your matt at all times. Jumping around with a monkey mind, going from x,y, z will only weaken your hold over the mann. You must have complete faith in the EK that you decide t

When beginners start the jaaps all the emphasis is put on the number of repetitions and we believe that if your repeat x number then it will bare fruits. We have discussed this concept of dhun Mei dhyan in a number of threads especially the meditation experiences thread. Yes you will definitely gain benefit of learning to devote x amount of time to jaaps but was it done with full dhyan and concentration? Probably not because your trying to race to the finish line and just be done with it. We have all made this mistake when we didn’t know any b

    Insomnia......

Thanks for the heads up. My personal view on insomnia is that it can be heavily connected to a person's physical and mental energy levels. When I do non-physical work that requires lots of problem solving and analysis, it's hard to switch your brain off at night, and this disturbs sleep (I believe this is due to the brain continuing to automatically process in the background). However when you do physical work like construction, the insomnia largely disappears. Ashwaganda certainly seems to help.

    Quotes from AMRIT BANI

In terms of doing good deeds alone, would like to add that without naam the fruit of these can be stolen or lost: Whereas with naam: and also Simran isn't something you just 'sit at home' and do, when you walk in hukam everything is simran, every thought and deed. If it's your hukam to sit in a cave and meditate that's fine, and if it's your hukam to be a householder and gregarious that's also fine. Everyon'es path is different, Guru Nanak's way has no dogma because once the Sikh discovers hukam they learn to follow their unique path.

When the mention of hell comes in Gurbani, they may think it's figurative, and there is no actual physical place called Hell. But as many of you know, hell is real. It doesn't matter what you think or whether we believe in it or not, reality is one, and it doesn't change to your thought. In Asa di Vaar, and Shalok Sheikh Freed Ke, and throughout gurbani, hell is made quite apparent. They say, you can hear people screaming in hell. If you google whether sikhi believes in heaven or hell, this is w
