  1. Just posting this up to make it easier for sikhs to find out about how we are meant to celebrate Navratri and Dusshera. There is actually something similar for Diwali as well where Dasvin 10th Patshah actually uses the word 'Diwali'! Hopefully I will find it before Diwali. https://www.facebook.com/652447751445011/photos/navratri-and-dushera-are-days-to-do-shastra-puja-the-nine-nights-of-naurate-star/995158367173946/ The nine nights of Naurate, started this year on October 12th, and go to the 22th. 2. SSA Lucky Jee, no worries for anything at all, you are always welcome to share your views just as anybody else. You see, one can never ever force oneĀ“s views on anybody, for after all everbody has his/her own personal consciouss level, thus howsoever hard one may try, the other person will simply reject. So no need for hard words, but as this an public forum, one should be careful with what one says, as many may get to beileve what they may see or read at a particular time which maybe absolutely imperfect or incomplete. That is why if I see something like that, I try to gi

  4. First of all, obviously I am not high spiritual level, but I have come a long way in the last couple years, and especially the past couple weeks I have been progressing like a rocket. There have been many mistakes I made, and much I have learned. I want to share this with you all, and I hope this will be helpful. ----------- Start making values and rules and don't go back on them. Some easy but very helpful ones are to; not watch tv, movies, shows or listen to songs. Instead listen to katha and kirtan. In my free time, I don't ever watch this, if nothing to do, just sit outside alone

  6. Very good points. Yet, if allowed to give my 2 cents for real progress, let us just do as Guru Jee says: SAAS SAAS SIMROH GOBIND. Why so? Because with it, we keep negativity at distance, and at the same time, we become receptive to His kirpa, which is the force to keep us on the right tracks. SSA.

    Quotes from AMRIT BANI

In terms of doing good deeds alone, would like to add that without naam the fruit of these can be stolen or lost: Whereas with naam: and also Simran isn't something you just 'sit at home' and do, when you walk in hukam everything is simran, every thought and deed. If it's your hukam to sit in a cave and meditate that's fine, and if it's your hukam to be a householder and gregarious that's also fine. Everyon'es path is different, Guru Nanak's way has no dogma because once the Sikh discovers hukam they learn to follow their unique path.

  8. They are as different as North and South. Nam is the only everlasting and changeless Truth, which can be described as a supreme consciouss creative power with infinite virtues, and among all of them love and mercy, like cream on milk, as per description by His Bhagat Jan, Gurmukhs and Guru Sahiban. While riddhis and siddhis are just lifeless and consciousless energies without any virtues by themselves. Take for example a knife, which can cut vegetables to be eaten, or can be used to harm someone. So you see, while Nam/Shabad/Satnam is a consciouss life force of the
