  1. Ironically when a 'sant' rapes someone, Punjabi f****s think it's a divine sacrament otherwise why would they be so quiet?
  2. I have seen Gyani lie myself, and no I am not anti-Taksali or anti-Sikh in anyway. A whole group of us went to meet him oneday in NZ and we had to wait because he woke up at 12'o clock , sunlight. He then himself told us that he did not do any Nitnem because he was gifting his bandgi to us. You really think such a man is worth people's time? I had a lot of respect for him but lost it when I saw his charitars. When he saw the dollars flowing he went all the way to contradict himself, and day 'Maj.Gen Shubeg Singh died in my laps.' 'You should not cook soy chunks or kidney beans in langar. You should never ever wear even a red or green shirt or any other clothing item of that color.' Here's another charitar, you can ring the Ravidassiya community in NZ, and ask them. He promised to hold an amrit sanchar in their Gurughar. The day arrived and the Gyani marched along to the Gurudwara. Had a look around, lifted the amrit bata (through the ceremony) on his head and walked out. When he was asked to explain this he was mum. All hes useful for is causing division among Sikhs. I am not jumping the gun here, but Gyani sure as hell wants to chew a few bullets from the looks of it.
  3. I remember when he came to New-Zealand. If you listen to his previous kathas he is insistent that during Operation Bluestar he was not in the Akal-Takhat; in one of his NZ samagams he outrageously claimed that Maj.Gen Shabag Singh died in his arms whilst fighting the Indian hordes. He then added, 'I was actually in the Akal-Takhat, I saw it all.' There was also some lecture over why not to cook beans and soy chunks in langar etc. At the end most of the Gurughars banned him from doing any katha after seeing his ambivalence and dishonesty. I asked a fan on Sikhsangat whether, in light of the latter, Thakur Singh really was a gyani and he answered, 'well mahapurakhs can lie for the benefit of humanity.' Then in 2010 there was his claim that the world is going to end in a few years. I guess when you see the dollars flowing you will do anything.
  4. Penji I would beg to differ from the editing question. According to many imminent scholars the Goindwal pothis etc all contain Shabads of the Bhagats which were not included in the AGGS by the 5th Guru. They also point out that most of these Shabads have commentaries aligned with them, written by the 3rd Guru, highlighting their efficiency/inefficiency.
  5. I have a few questions regarding Gurbani i.e. specifically the Bani of the Bhagats or Bhagat Bani. 1.) As per Gurbani who is a Bhagat and who is a Guru? 2.) How do both inter-relate? 3.) Was Bhagat Bani edited by the Gurus? If so how and why?
  6. She (or is it a he?) is a very talented artist indeed.
  7. I have read this book. I still have a copy on Scribd (http://www.scribd.com/doc/215200640/Sikhs-in-the-Eighteenth-Century-in-English-by-Surjit-Singh-Gandhi). According to Gandhi, Adina Beg wanted to establish his own rule in the Punjab but his immediate allies, the Sikhs, dreamed of their own reign. Thus, he decided to align himself with the Marathas. There is more as well, but I think Sikh-Maratha relations should be a topic for another thread.
  8. I wouldn't go so far as to trust Randhawa. The guy had a spaz on his fb for pilgrimage to Hemkunt Sahib.
  9. Katha of Sri Sarbloh Granth Ji http://www.srisarblohgranthji.com/Audio.php
  10. The manuscript, according to a friend who once read it, focuses on the morals and ethics of a warrior and the privilege of duty. It does support the Budha-Dal belief that the Khalsa is the true Santaan Dharma, ancient and unchanging, as the Guru draws parallels between the merits of Krishna's warriors and his own Nihungs.
  11. It has been tried, but they have deceived themselves. The greatest victim of Islam is the Muslim himself!
  12. It was quite a successful film which aimed to capture the poignant sufferings of the victims of what is attributed as being one of civilizations greatest embodiments. Rome!
  13. Try soundcloud or NihangSingh.org. He blasts many myths apart in it. Especially this imbecilic diatribe against hunting, bana, bani, meat etc. There is also a portion where he talks about the Badals and why he did not support Sant Jarnail Singh Ji.
  14. Might come down to other social factors as well. More liberalism etc. You know the usual drubbing on both sides is now being question by both Sikh and Islamic youth.
  15. The martial history of the Punjabi Muslims has been overtly lackadaisical in more than one respect. The fall of the Mughal empire heralded this epoch with several different aboriginal powers tearing it to pieces.
  16. Isn't this the same idiot who was on Sikhsangat under the pseudonym PakistaniPunjabi or PPO1?
  17. Baba Santa Singh's exegesis of Shiv orbiting the Adi Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Dasam Granth Ji and Sri Sarbloh Granth Ji. For more information pursue his teeka of the Sri Sarbloh Granth. It's pretty clear on the difference between Shiva (Bolenaath) and Shiv as in Mahakaal, Akal. He quotes extensively from Dasam Bani to criticise Bolenath who is a mediocre reflection of the ever greater Akal. But of course the reality is lost on some delusional individuals and their preconceived ideals.
  18. Read the same thing in the Economist, Time, Political Outlook and what not. Doesn't seem like he's got many fans outside India.
  19. Sooraj Prakash isn't the work of Maharaj himself. Sahib has asked for references from the Dasam Granth.
  20. I don't think so. But Maharaj's writings are highly metaphorical.
