  1. And to the Bhramin Dhanna was just a braindead uneducated monkey who lacked "class, style, art and depth." Yet with his unique intention and true nature and the grace of akaal he gained alot more then the bhramin ever could. Then again thats my opinion I too am known for my lack of class style art and depth so i guess the statement that it will only attract braindead thinking was probably correct But thank the Lord Guru Nanak is universal and has a place for all of us .. even the bad asses !
  2. in response to my above contradiction in the eyes of shaheediyan i shall state.. Ya WHat?? You questioning me.. !!! You know who I am... .... ... My understanding is simple just because it always existed doesnt mean it existed because it was for Gods own ego, its like a beautiful women doesn't be beautiful she just is.. in the same way the naam always existed not to force God worship just because God worshipping is like a oogling at a beautiful woman.. and for those who are too holy to acknowledge beautiful woman then please replace with whatever you regard is worth oogling at.. and for women replace with whatever you lot oogle at.. shoes.. handbags etc you guys can get back to ur discussion regarding intention of accuracy of Bachitar Natak.. Over and out. !
  3. Haha.. Thanking the SA lot.. is like thanking a leaf for being green, pull it from the tree and soon it shall wither away and become brown and shrivelled. In this case the tree is your own ability to be open minded when you read what is written, lol my metaphors are like water in a dirty glass.. nasty and undrinkable..
  4. I think it makes perfect sense, Guru Gobind Singh wasn't sent to reveal God or to provide naam or create a new movement, but simply to teach humanity how to uphold dharam "29. “I (i.e., God) have honoured you as my son. And created you to spread the knowledge of my way. On reaching there, you are to start way of righteousness, and stop people from unwise (â€kubudhâ€) ways. " The only lines being accredited to Gods own speech In the same way the devtas were not created to start a new naam or religion but to engage in righteousness in their desires to establish a new naam righteousness became polluted with their own aims and objectives, in the same way Mohammed (PBUH) was not revealing anything new but ensuring that dharam played a part in what had already been revealed by previous prophets unfortunately after Mohammed (PBUH) the fight for succession created differing paths (panths) Sunni Shia etc.. In the same way Guru Nanak revealed naam (which always existed), whereas Guru Gobind Singh was all about dharam yudh, all about upholding dharam for humanity, unfortunately we also have in recent years forgotten the universal teachings of Guru Gobind Singh and and created our own paths
  5. Listen to the shabad being read while the baba goes crazy,, its seems totally perfectly in place to me !! Meh Bhaoreee.... Also wasnt there a cool group of sikhs from down hazoor sahib ends who would dance while reciting bani etc. Plus Guru Maharaj describes shakti as dancing.. I believe the negative attitude towards dance is from the courts of mughals where women danced for the pleasure of men abit like spearmint rhinos
  6. sometimes the body can be a cage, most of the time we dont care, but once in a while some people feel such an urge that their bird like soul breaks free, in such cases the body becomes a rag doll to the uncontrollable un explainable rush of emotions and love pouring out from within.. In other cases he may be doing interprative dance routine to the shabad being sang, which I think is a welcome development to exploring Sikhi in many new and wonderful ways.. Also like to add, come on man!!!.. how is nobody amazed that a Baba of his age is able to perform those moves man ! He should be in the olympics..
  7. Could it be that Mach isnt a fish but is actually sperm? and the manu is not first man but infact the egg within the woman ? Or is that just some crazy fetish story I once heard
  8. Cool reminds me of the good ol' days at Putney, with Danny's guitar and the bookshelf of doom !
  9. I feel sorry for the dead buffalo.. talk about wrong place at the wrong time,.. wonder what a buffalo was doing in balbirs car?
  10. use a camera put the poster on the wall, and use a tripod photograph the whole thing, and then put it together in photoshop
  11. The issue here is fatehsinghs pm services !! not faith not practice, It is always worth learning before insulting. Guru Nanak could have gone around smacking up people and destroying their shrines, instead he took the approach to observe the practice of others and then to bring the ras of naam into the lives of those people. He did not destroy mecca, simply spun it around when asked to move his feet, he did not drown the hindus at the ganges, simply threw water towards the punjab and explained his reasoning, neither did he eat the cannibal, or lay the smackdown on kaljug when he came to do darshan of Satguru Nanak. In the same way we should aim to model ourselves on that approach instead of turning towards aggression and insults. But would be interesting to discuss whats the difference (significance) in the use of the word maridan and fakira in this shabad.
  12. There is no difference between me and God I just dont realise I am God, and therefore If I Am God then I am the destruction as well and the creation and in it all I am the preserver, Hence Kalki Avtar is just another me. Maybe Kalki is the destruction of the self at that point when one becomes nihklank without mark or blemish. It could be that the blemish is karma, so a person who has no karma because he has either settled all accounts good or bad, or placed it all in the feet of the one who keeps the accounts (satguru) then in effect that person becomes nihklank without any marks and so the only step left when you have nothing is for the complete annihalation of the I . ego.. and the release of the I true self, hence even in the end there is no kalki just Akaal.. then again maybe its a missle which was created in a war factory hidden under the village sambhal
  13. I like what bhagat singh is doing, I think its a good idea, at the end of the day an artist can only express what he thinks is correct, how correct are the current sobha singh images of the Gurus which are plastered all over encyclopedia even on the beloved sikhawareness banner? They are art and because of that their is an ability for the artist to portray a concept, the pictures of the Gurus show them sitting or standing in a tranquil state of meditation etc, they highlight that concept because the artist felt that was important. There is a place for hyper realistic and accurate history in comics and pictures but even that will be based on references and interpretations. An image can only be as authentic as its source, On the other hand if we look at where Bhagat Singh is in his own sikhi path, he states hes on the path inspired and finding out more, and that is where his comics make perfect sense, The hyper accurate historical academic sikh may feel that his artist skill should be used to portray only the accurate history but then the comic would be full of blank pages, because even the stories we have today are warped and skewed by katha kars to add that current touch which relates to the audience. Bhagat Singhs audience are those who also look at spiderman and think man thats cool, Peter Parker rocks ! 300 is not an accurate comic its a totally stylized skewed view of an historical event. But because of it, we all now know alittle bit more about a culture most of us would not give 2 hoots about unless we studied greek cultures or the persian wars etc. Banis are translated to English, the words are the ones the translator felt were most suitable according to his professional, academic or even personal beliefs, in the same way comics and art are translations which look at one concept and skew the others to make it fun and interesting and to attract a wider audience. It is simply a medium to express something and if it has a sikhi twist because those things are important to Bhagat Singh then even better. So to all you nay sayers and people that feel his artwork and comics should be more real, just remember who ran around the house pretending to be batman or superman when they were younger? and how many people ran around the house pretending to be that guy from blue peter !!
  14. if we do not dedicate ourself and obtain the great charan of akaal then this life was a waste, isnt that the same as suicide ? the charan are only graced by Satgur Parsad, so how do we ensure that we are not already committing suicide by wasting this life. after all we can only do what we think is the best, we will not know if it was worthwhile until its over. Or can we assume that we have free will and the day one must die is hukam, yet we have the choice to die if we so wish? Does a martyr not choose to die for his belief ? In the same way is suicide not dying according to your belief that your better of ending it? (for clarification im not saying shaheedi and suicide are the same thing, im asking a question about the principle) also there are many types of suicide are all wrong, many sikh women killed themselves during partition to avoid being captured by others and destroying the family isaat etc, where is the line drawn between suicide and serving your community and family, If those women are accepted as dying for their community and family, then a man who needs 24 hour treatment just to have machines keep him alive, even though by all means in nature he would have died, is costing his family their lives, their time, and all tax payers a hell of alot of money, if they all choose and decide to let the man die in order to lift that burden on society and on the other family members is it still suicide? Its easy to make a blank statement but as a Sikh its our duty to try to understand from the other perspective and not just harp on about our own views, which may be more cultural and socially based then spiritual.
  15. will you also be keeping the maryada of having the pathis singhs ring a bell and have sugar cane chatka'ed or is it just a normal akhand paath with Dasam Granth Sahib Ji instead of Adi Granth Sahib Ji? Simple question nothing more
  16. its ALL WRONG.. !!!!! do it again..
  17. we can only see with our own eyes, so if someone gives their perception or opinion, it is already tainted by our own perception of whether we regard it is correct or incorrect, In the sidh ghhost Guru Nanak does not claim that the sadhs are incorrect he simply answers their questions with his own opinions, they listen and ask questions from their perspective to understand further their own nature. In the same way the use of any substance even naam, even sikhi, even the punjabi language and the wearing of dastars or karas etc all is subject to ones own opinions and perspectives, if bhang has a purpose to the user then so be it, and if it does not then so be it, one can only misguide themselves, you can not blame another. I would say that vegitarianism is much worse then bhang consumption, after all it warps a persons minds, people become elitist (just look at bhramins and most amritdhari groups) they also see themselves as compassionate towards animals yet remain oblivious to the fact they are killing billions of living organisms in one breath, or even in one step, Plus everyone argues it is a better life choice, yet nobody accepts each and every person is individual their life is not your life so why would your choice be their choice. Then again all of what I have stated is simply my opinion. my perspective, and all that you are reading is your perspective of what I have wrote, so unless your perspective is my perspective then it will never be what I am actually trying to say, and in such a way the only ones who know the true perspective of all perspectives is the one perspective of ultimate perspectiveness, those attuned to the non perspective of God perspective. Those that look not with their eyes but their hearts, and they do not care about what one eats or drinks, bhang or milk, they care only if the heart is attuned to the infinite bliss of the lords charan, everything else is simply an act on the stage of existence.
  18. I agree with neo man. Akaal Ustat is emence, but then something just came to me, "He is neither a Yantra, nor a Mantra nor the formation of a Tantra." what about Gurmantar? thats a mantar, how would this affect the understanding of the use and purpose of waheguru or even the beej mantar ik onkar? mool mantar? "He is actionless, religionless, birthless and guiseless" Im guessing religionless would imply that nobody has a monopoly on God, no belief system.. would this also apply to the sub systems within a belief? is this the cure to the jatha wars? Or does this imply God is athiest?
  19. everything is man made, including the ink and the paper, even the takhts and even the swords, they are all man made.. SGPC is a man made authority, You say we should go by the Guru and note our own notes yet at the end of your first paragraph you end with "I dont think so.." Stop I'ing hipo crit. The only thing which is beyond man made interpretation is the ultimate truth, naam, God, Nirgun, etc etc and to be intune with that requires hearing that which is never heard (anhad) the unstruck sound, as many translations refer to it. Im not saying that there are no badly tuned or mistuned notes, I've seen many vajas totally off tune, you press SA and some other MA comes out. I have no intentions to offend, just to discuss to awaken my own mind and satisfy my own ego. IIIIIIIIIIII MEEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMME
  20. If we ever get khalistan how much would it cost to call there?
  21. tejsingh.. doesnt everything belong to the Guru ? What is there that is beyond the Guru? So in all honestly can one not take whatever one desires and say Khalsa TAX. !! Plus can we have sources on the Baba Bidhi Chand doing tap tapasia .. I mean I said he stole (wether he stole what was his or not he still stole .. im not debating the good and bad) and I had to provide a source. Im also not saying the Baba Bidhi Chand didnt do tap, im just saying I wanna know more, hes my favourite Sikh from back in the Gurus Days,
