ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Without the Lord, there is no other at all. Meditate on the One and only Naam, the Name of the Lord.

gur bohith taaray bhav paar.
The Guru is the boat to cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

gur sayvaa jam tay chhutkaar.
Serving the Guru, one is released from the Messenger of Death.

anDhkaar meh gur mantar ujaaraa.
In the darkness, the Guru's Mantra shines forth.

gur kai sang sagal nistaaraa. ||3||
With the Guru, all are saved. 

 Love  for God

If You are the mountain, then I am the peacock. If You are the moon, then I am the partridge in love with it.

O Lord, if You will not break with me, then I will not break with You. For, if I were to break with You, with whom would I then join?

If You are the lamp, then I am the wick. If You are the sacred place of pilgrimage, then I am the pilgrim.

I am joined in true love with You, Lord. I am joined with You, and I have broken with all others. Wherever I go, I serve You there.

There is no Lord other than You, O Divine Master. Meditating upon You, the noose of death is cut away.

To attain devotional worship, Ravi Daas sings to You, Lord (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 658).

gur parmaysar hai bhee hog.
The Guru is the Transcendent Lord; He is, and always shall be.

Without the Guru, liberation is not obtained, O Siblings of Destiny. 

THE worst regret we can have in Life,
Is not for the wrong things we Did.

But for the thousand of Right things,
We did for the wrong people...

Never forget the three powerful resources you always have available to you.
