Eaehu Jeeo Bahuthae Janam Bharanmiaa Thaa Sathigur Sabadh Sunaaeiaa ||
This soul wandered through countless incarnations, until the True Guru instructed it in the Word of the Shabad, and made it possible to listen to it.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਣਿਅਹੁ ਲੋਕ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥
Sathigur Jaevadd Dhaathaa Ko Nehee Sabh Suniahu Lok Sabaaeiaa ||
There is no giver as great as the True Guru; hear this, all you people.

Gur Maeraa Paarabreham Gur Bhagavanth ||
My Guru is the Supreme Lord God; the Guru is the Lord God.

ਐਸਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ
Aisaa Gur Paaeeai Vaddabhaagee
By great good fortune, such a Guru is found;
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੩॥

Meeting Him, one is lovingly attuned to the Lord. ||3||

The Lord of the Universe appears when the Word of His Shabad is chanted.

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਾਲਾਹਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Naanak Bhagathaa Bhukh Saalaahan Sach Naam Aadhhaar ||
O Nanak, the hunger of the devotees is to praise You; the True Name is their only support.
P.S: now we may ask, what is it to praise Him? Is it to glorify Him with His many virtues?
This may be a type of praise, but the real praise to which Guru Jee is pointing us to look for, is to ceaselessly call upon His sweet Name, for this is what He most likes.
He doesn't want big words from us, yet to chant His sacred Nam.
In this respect the Bani tells us: Prabh ka Simran, Har gun Bani.
The Simran of the Lord Waheguru, is to sing the song of His praises.

Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the world is entangled in the disease of duality, and is drowned, drowned, and dies.

The Guru is Divine; the Guru is Inscrutable and Mysterious. Serving the Guru, the three worlds are known and understood.

The Guru, the Giver, has Himself given me the Gift; I have obtained the Inscrutable, Mysterious Lord.
