The book looks interesting. I know absolutely nothing about the period 1839-1849 as I've stayed away purposelly since it's too depressing to read about. But maybe its time to read up on that period of Sikh history with this book.

    Cool stuff.
I am also interested in seeing references to adopt 'Singh' and 'Kaur' second names. Some people say Kaur isn't mentioned. It would be interesting to see the original source where it is mentioned (if it is mentioned).

Do you have reference to 'Singh' and 'Kaur' on hand?

patiala and kashmir royals destroyed lahore darbar and helped create this neosikhi you believe in today and control your destiny whilst maintaining their hindu history and pride, yet you fools cant see that. thats what happens when common men aspire to being ubermensch. you guys are big fat joke. which other community in this world lies about its own literature, artefacts and terminology. a serious inferiority complex is prevalent in sikh populations due to the singh sabha and jatt domination post singh sabha. bhagat singhs family were proud hindu sikhs as were hari singh nalwa and all of ranjits generals. the khatri papay from lahore side that were hindu sikhs were local landlords under hari singh and dewan mohkam chand and misr dewan chand.

    What a fool.

What, and Singh's didn't have ample military experience to deal with sullay prior to whitey turning up?

    Clown.

Try using your brain: Sikh strength in dealing with sullay dramatically decreased as a result of colonialism. Fool.

I agree with you, that's why most of the people who have taken amrit shouldn't have. why? khalsa is meant to be dharamyudhis most of our khalsa have never been in a scrap, they don't know the reality of fighting, being attacked, how to defend yourself, what to do when the situation arises  . So let's be honest, most people don't know how to react in a confrontation or attack, they freeze. What is the point of wearing a kirpan or sword when you don't know how to use it? seems more of a ritual.

Faith is necessary for a person of any spiritual or religious tradition. However, when it comes to analyzing a faith/or religion, we need the application of logic to some extant, as well. Depriving ourselves of rationality, critical thinking, and reasoning (which isn't fundamentally subjective) is detrimental and counter-productive for the intellectual, societal, and overall evolution of humanity.

And there you go again attributing views to us we dont adhere to. very similiar to what satkirin/harkirin used to do. So no wonder people think you are her.
And when I say the same arguments i mean in the sense that it is the exact same arguments in repetitive form, - same tuks, same everything. Nothing new is added in your posts that she has'nt already said 100 times before, just going on and on and on again and again.
But if you aint her then I apologize.

Rehetnama? What an unusual way of spelling rahitnama. If i search for 'rehetnama' in the search option for the forum, the only recent results happen to be written by Satkirin.
Stop playing games with us. We have asked you directly if you are her, - and you have given us untruthfull answers.
As you are only here to troll and cause trouble we will delete all future posts from you. You are not welcome any longer on this forum regardless of whatever fake ID you are going to use in the futre. You keep hammering on and on about the same topics - people have discussed with you and given their viewpoints, which you might agree to or not.... There is no point in going on and on in circles here on the forum as they don't contribute with anything new.
And don't bother answering to this making excuses and far fetched explanations of why you have been telling lies.
I wish you all the best, Gurfateh.

Guru Ji says that even life contains water and we are killing livings in order to drink water. All souls have passed through many life forms to obtain this human form. Guru Sahib tells us we have even had life phases as stones as well as trees, snakes. Every blade of grass, every strand of wheat, every goat and chicken have had the same soul pass through that life form. I myself have killed thousands and thousands of life forms through my gardening.

Firstly, after the Anglo Sikh wars, those who mainly took part in the mutiny...they had fought against the Sikhs some years earlier so the Sikhs did not want to help them, it was their way of taking revenge against them in the Anglo Sikh wars.

We do not need a title from any Tom sick or Harry. the king of kings guru gobind Singh gave us our martial title, we don't need reassurance from anyone else. We know who we are & don't need to prove it.

Sikhs were divided into two camps. The anti-British army of the Lahore darbaar and the pro-British armies seen in the smaller sikh kingdoms that were bordering Delhi and were fighting the Lahore sikh empire. When the Sikhs sided with the British in 1857 it was (from my understanding) mostly the armies from Patiala, Nabha, Jind etc (Who had always been pro-British and even fought their fellow SIkh brothers).. Some of the defeated Sikh soldiers from the Lahore darbaar also joined the British army - and for them it was mostly a question of avoiding the resurection of the Mughal Empire.

Ratan Singh Bhangu in Prachin Panth Prkash talking of battle stratagem Dhai Phat says , ‘ The wise old men have said . Their are two and half strikes in battle . To find opponents weakness and engage the enemy and do maximum damage . Then disengage when the enemy is getting upper hand . Both is a strike each of battle . To kill and be killed is only half a strike of battle .’
The second law of stratagem according to Kavi Budh was ; ‘ Second recognise ones own ability . Then set your goals .’
My Ustasd taught me ; ‘To go on a battle field without a stratagem . Is like cutting ones own throat with a knife .’
