  1. I used my time to respond and she still stuck on feminist approach, same thing was happened in why females can't be in Panj Pyaare. I gave up.
  2. I think saying truth is one thing, but shoving it down on others again and again is not a good thing. Hurting someone's feelings when you can very well withhold your comments, is not nice, we should all avoid sowing bad karma seeds.
  3. This again. Sri Dasam Granth Jee is a gift to khalsa by their beloved father and teacher Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj. Everything written in it is blessing for us, case is that our minds are habitual in searching for faults and wants to pat its ego if he found one. Its like ant mentality, ant may walk on wall but always searches for burrows on it. Everything written on Sri Dasam Granth Jee has a reason, we should be more trusting towards Guru Maharaj. A. Guru Maharaj knows the power of pen, details of acts are there because if you can't control yourself and urges while reading in comfort of your room, how can you control if that situation really happens. It teaches to control your senses when Sexual energy is at peak, and stops us to be slave of sexual drive at every opportunity we get. Every Singh at the said time was not Baba Deep Singh Jee, they need to be told these things. A. You have to read between the lines, who are these men you talking about, these are battered soldiers, already few in number fighting huge armies with full resources at disposal. Under the influence of hunger, sleepless night and what not. For enemy each and every Singh matters, women can be used to dissuade these Singhs from their purpose, hence the stories. Also who were these women, these women were under pressure or doing it for money. Guru Sahib was warning about these women as vile, NOT talking about "God" loving women (high moral values) in general. A. We have to learn to read between lines, "as you say 40%" this is because sexual energy is base of all human energy either takes it upwards or let it drain in toilet. Poor students like me, needs a lot of examples to understand one simple thing, hence so much emphasis. A. Yes to avoid this "psychological affect", Khalsa is strictly instructed to do Nitnem and do Simran at all times, to see god in everyone. But this spiritual growth in dependent on individual sikhs and demands time, for them to see god in everyone and to win their vices for sure. Due to impending wars on their heads, they are warned to look for these charitars, as immediate remedy in war times. Sri Dasam Granth Sahib put a lot of focus on raising confidence of khalsa, "Swa lakh se ek laddao" needs groundwork, its not mere words. Thus a lot of mythological figures names were used and in Sri dasam granth people with Singh names were shown to defeat them, sikhism was new at the times and people still have natural fear for other deities of india. So by showing them defeating various muslim and hindu dieties names, it installs a fighting sprit in khalsa to take on anyone in the war. We do say but Sri Guru Granth sahib Maharaj is not only Sikh's Guru, he is whole mankind Guru. Sri Dasam Granth was written as separate to form panth (religious movement), a religious text to unite sikhs from various walks of life and to have a separate identity. But we fools make it a point to divide us. Whose fault is this?
  4. Don't get me wrong, it is not a personal comment on anyone, these are my views. Sant Maskeen Singh Jee have also said same words in his katha, his point was Mother's sanskaar affect the child in the womb and later on in childhood years. few examples like Dhru Bhagat, his mother told him to do bhagati for getting kingdom, she could also have said grow up, be strong and fight your father. and history would be different. We can't deny this fact.
  5. People who boast of their caste, actually don't have much, to be proud of. They hide behind these caste names to inflate their ego. On a related issue, in Guru Ghar all people should be motivated on this path, calling out Non-amrit ones isn't helping anyone. Beginners should be encouraged. Be the bridge between your fellow person and god, don't burn it.
  6. I can think a couple of reasons 1. Sikh Jeevan means daily routine, here I am talking about sikh who is a amritdhari, we all know how effortful path it is, do daily Bani's and be vigilante 24/7 for kurehits. It demands full on commitment. My point is unless person has both knowledge + faith on Guru granth sahib Jee Maharaj, It is somewhat difficult to go on this path for so long. We all look for shortcuts and came to Guru Sahib for help, only in need, but it takes time and in addition we have to open our minds and ears at all times. Maybe people want lesser demanding gods just do some ritual, and do some offerings and gods are pleased, it is not sikh way, it could be a major reason for people not fully accepting it. 2. Politics and leadership could be another one, just think I am here referring to Giani Hari Singh Randhawa vs Missionary discussion video posted on the forum, in which he says that the Rehat Maryada code, we see nowadays is just a rough document presented in 1930's. Though all 5 Singh Sahibs of takhts did not agree to it, so it is not duly signed and accepted. That happened 80 years back, in all these years no definite effort was made to correct it and unite the panth with one rehat maryada which is core need, it gives you idea how lacking leadership/politics is in spreading sikh message. 3. Parents are responsible too, if children are not in sikhi, it is most likely a reflection of parents. Mothers specially (don't get feminist on me), I believe most of us who are in sikhi are because of our mothers with strong sikh roots. Her spending a lot of childhood years with you affects your way of life. 4. Parcharak (Distributers of faith) are in blame too, in older days parcharak was one who did practical first and then spread the message, a couple of sants like Isher Singh Rara sahib comes to mind, beginners look up to role models, they first saw parcharak's jeevan and later on come to Guru sahib, it could be the reason. In today world with all the media one high avastha parcharak can make the difference to the people who want to enter the faith. Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj do ardas for us in chaupai sahib that "ਸੁਖੀ ਬਸੈ ਮੋਰੋ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾ ॥ ਸੇਵਕ ਸਿੱਖਯ ਸਭੈ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥੩੭੮॥O, Creator, May my family live in comfort along with all devotees and disciples. maybe we don't want to become "SUKHI".
  7. Any Amritdhari sikh will not under any circumstance disrespect other amritdhari's kakaars, like they did in the video. Very very shameful act.
  8. Thanks, NEO, HARSHARAN, LUCKY jee. I will try as you guys advised. Hope it clicks.
  9. I am trying to focus on middle of eyebrows (trikuti) at base of nose. Could anyone share how to do it, I mean do you cross our eyes to look at the point, which strains in my case, or you keep mentally focus on it. I mean is it general area in sense or specific point to focus our attention and to look at it. Also to look at it mentally or physically with eyes closed. Kindly share your experiences.
  10. To add to it, Giani Thakur singh in his katha said that panj pyare were bhagats who were reincarnated for this purpose only.
  11. Tell me what is your expectation from "THE DISCUSSION". You must have some doubt or alternate suggestion for it, please discuss you thoughts here first.
  12. Nothing to discuss here, what you heard is right. Giving heads in battle is one thing and responding to demand of heads all of sudden in diwan is another thing.

    A question

Dude, the analogy I used is just a funny way to say things, off course god is not bored though he created everything out of fun, why ? because he can. If you want to know for yourself. You need a teacher, who can show you the answer to the puzzle called as life, that teacher in sikhism is Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaj.

    A question

Why hasn't He made us like Himself so that we also neither think wrong nor do wrong? There is no fun in that for god. Just think like god was alone and bored, so he programmed a single player game called "The life" which has drama, sex, bliss, sorrow, joy all that. We are all players in this game, There are levels in this game, the final level is human body. Goal is to finish game on individual level and got out of game and reward is eternal bliss and cup of tea in the company of god. The game finishers individuals will never have to play this game again. If you did not finish the game in human lifetime, what level you have to start playing again only god knows. Bottom line is god is very kind, the moment game start from level 1, lets call it big bang and when it reaches human level say X, then the kindness of god comes into play, at that moment onwards from time to time, he sends cheat codes and manuals lets call them saints to tell the game players the goal of the game and ways to complete it. But we don't listen, thats how strongly he coded the game.
  15. Look my intention is not to rattle you, though I stand on what I said. Did you do what I said. Ask Guru sahib, only Maharaj can remove doubts, no forum can do that for you. Since you are already attuned to spiritual experiences as you said since childhood, there should be no problem in asking Guru Granth sahib Maharaj about it. Also please enlighten the forum what Hukamnama Guru sahib gave you. Also I never said I have any higher spiritual experience than you, or any at all. Read correctly.
  16. How does one deal with slander (Ninda) of oneself and backbiting (Chuglee) at a workplace, according to Gurmat? Given that you did not do anything they are saying, it is very good. Kabir Jee says nindak is my true friend he cleans my karma with his tongue. Dont stop them it will help you a lot spiritually, like in Bhagti. Keep a happy face, truth will eventually prevails. If someone do ninda with you in company, Avoid that person like toxic. Make excuses that you are busy or better leave the place for a moment. Thats why Guru jee says keep some level of non attachment with your surroundings, because result of hearing slander is Dokh dristi. You will see evil in all and spiritually that is a death sentence. Guru Amar das Jee maharaj say Har bin awar na dekho koi. Its good to follow Guru's advice.
  17. Hello Satkirin Jee, I don't know why you are stuck on men vs women approach in all issues. You are creating duality in your mind that's just wrong. What the video is saying is true. I can't explain it but when you attain higher spiritual stages you will know that why Singhs should be in panj pyaare. I don't know why you think that women are lower in sikhi and be defensive about it. Women are mother of khalsa, who is bigger mother or son. I make it very easy for you go to your nearest gurudwara and ask Guru granth sahib and take hukamnama. Guru sahib will answer, try yourself.
  18. I think sangat is enraged because they did not understand the issue at all, ladies thought that Giani Ji is disrespecting them by calling woman unequal to men and avapavitar at core by quoting Maharaja Jee Bani. Its not true. How can Giani Jee find Gurbani pangti's that women are impure when Guru Nanak Maharaj was Quoting "So manda aakhiye jit jameh raajan". And Guru Amar Das ji maharaj was in favor or remarry widows at that period of time. So, women and men are equal at all levels no doubt. What Giani Jee was saying, was to acknowledge the purity of Guru Granth Sahib jee Maharaj Aasan (Throne) which applies to both men and women equally. Women are quoted especially because periods are natural and will happen to every women, so needs to get mentioned as precaution. Its a precautionary measure, in case blood from periods gets on to Guru Maharaj Bastars (Includes Sheets, underneath the Tabiaya Singh/kaur ). Period ladies are more than welcome to sit in sangat and listen. Also, Giani was right for not having debate in presence of Guru sahib because usually debates gets heated and its highest order of disrespect raising ones voice in front of Guru jee. Regarding doing paath, it is more than acceptable, as Gutka Sahib is in your hands away from body no disrespect there. The way ladies behaves raising their voice is the first sign of defeat in debate. Some one was saying sangat making langar is Ok during periods, I think they should discontunue and do some other sewa because langar was first offered to Guru sahib, there is possibility of blood transfer to food. So just keep in mind. Also some lady was arguing who came to Gurudwara in shirt and pant is not very good dress code, as Guru sahib is our father never forget our culture wherever we are living. Have to first correct ourselves before going to town on Giani Jee. Thoughtless rage in all nothing else.
