  4. Amazing quote by Dilgo Khyenste Rinpoche talking about Guru Yoga: “The literal meaning of Guru Yoga is ‘union with the teacher’s nature’. To blend your mind with the teacher’s mind is the most profound of all practices, and the shortest path of realization. It is the life force of the path and the one practice that includes all others. It was through relying on a spiritual teacher that all the Bodhisattvas of the past generated the mind of enlightenment and reached perfection.” ~ H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

  14. Off course God / Maharaj will save every one sinner in a universal sense give them chance etc I don't think it's Sikh eccentric rule rather than universal rule wider aspect in hakum which includes bit about Maharaj saving keshadhari.
  15. Does not work quite like that, one have to be quite receptive, open, drawn and have bhavna on vak mentioned in puratan text in order to be saved otherwise relative realities mentioned above does not come in person consciousness(surat) when they die so above vak will not come true for them . This mahavak below from gurbani can provide further guidance: ਜੇਹੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਤੇਹਾ ਤਿਨ ਰਾਹੁ ॥ जेही सुरति तेहा तिन राहु ॥ Jehī suraṯ ṯehā ṯin rāhu. As is their awareness, so is their way.
  16. ~ Instead of trying to be consumed into eternal truth awareness/knowledge-satnaam let satnam - eternal truth awareness/knowledge consume you!! ~ I wont write much on this topic, but this line above has to be deeply contemplated and felt in quite mind and meditation. There is so much truth in above that will turn your life of efforts, striving striving, maintaining certain stage upside down in a good way and bring transformation, depending how much you allow it, it can penetrate deeper and bring out radical shift in identity in your life. All i can say be receptive and open, be in spontaneous quiet meditation without any effort or agenda. Any extra effort which is made has some backing of ego, has some imprints of ego, this subtlety can be understood in deep meditation where one feels current to the point ones effort seem like small speck or dust in inherent infinite eternal ocean of awareness happening now, eternally present.
  17. We started a pilot project about a year ago to enable guest posting to allow guest members to be more engaged in discussions. We tried our very best to approve the messages on time and continue to approve messages on timely basis ...we will keep it open for now for new guests, but like to get feedback from regular guest posters if you guys will consider making a actual free account on here to post, its easier for you guys as posts/topics will be available right away and it be lot easier for the volunteer sevadars as well to go through messages and approve them manually. What you guys think?
  18. This topic will be locked in next 24 hrs, i think this topic has ran its course.

  21. Here is another take by gurbani on creation - ਖੰਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੈ ਸਾਜ ਕੈ ਜਿਨ ਸਭ ਸੈਸਾਰੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥खंडा प्रिथमै साज कै जिन सभ सैसारु उपाइआ ॥At first the Lord created the double-edged sword and then He created the whole world. He created Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and then created the play of Nature. Both aspects(shabad/shakti) are correct in their right as realities of creations are perceived differently by different school of thoughts/aspects within gurbani, where gurbani says from shabad whole creation came -there gurbani is talking from shabad (ong sound vibration) aspect of akaal purkh and where gurbani says from khanda(double edge sword) - whole creation came, there gurbani is talking from aad shakti aspect of akaal purkh. Both aspects are of akaal purkh himself..Hence, both are correct..we must see these in different aspects context then only we should be able to reconcile shabads together.
  22. Both yes and no. Lets break it down a bit, external spiritual teacher point towards internal divine teacher(shabad gyan or shabad dhun)- universal non dual jot of all, if sadhak-student becomes introverted towards universal internal- satguru -eternal knowledge/awareness teacher then external teacher with form is not needed, his/her job is done. Sometimes depending on the karma of an individual as all of us are sitting at the different stages in spirituality, sometimes external spiritual teacher is not needed at all, sometimes internal satguru via divine insight or ephiphany will draw the seeker by making the mind inwards/introvert and merge the seeker in its source. Make no mistake - Satguru/teacher is needed and must what we are discussing here is if satguru with form is needed or not. So its not black and white, external teacher is needed for most part as pointer but at times- internal teacher directly draw and inspire the seeker.
  23. Dal bro, easy with insults. As they say take it to southall. lol
