  1. i agree with infernal monk. you can't really give sikhi advice to a person of another religon. that would just be preaching. you need to advise on their terms and to what level or stage they are at in life or religon. Even if they are not getting into religon you need to give the sort of advice that they will understand and will result in them doing good things. If their more interested in your advice because of the maturity and sense it makes then who knows......they may even become sikhs.........WoooooOOOOOooooooHoooooooOOOOOoooooo! From a personal level.......alot of ppl ask me for advice too.I know that i give good advice but I think that they only come and ask me because i wear a keski.....lol...... funny init!!! Main thing is that you give the most appropriate advice. Whisper(bring them towards sikhi if u can.......lolz)
  2. before i give my opinion in all of this i just want to say that i dnt come to this site very often so excuse my late replies. also, everyone has pretty much covered everything there is to say but im still going to post my opinion to let evryone know. sikhs and clubbing...........i think that clubbing is definutly wrong because its like penji Kaur 1699 said........its all about sangat. a person may go clubbing for the bhangra (if ppl want to listen to bhangra why cant they just listen to it in their cars or at home? no need to go clubbing for it) only but those 5 vices do get uncontrolled because of the unstable environment. clubbing has all the nishani's of not following sikhi dharm. isnt it true that guru arjun dev ji left the decision of a marriage proposal brought by a hindu family for their hindu daughter to marry Guru ji, to the sangat? this is a primary example of the importance of sangat. in my opinion, clubbing just promotes naked women, males hungry for you know wot and increasing alcohol sales. oh yh..........and music(!) not good at all for the sikhi dharam man
  3. Sukhi ........ you are taking this way out of proportion. But i understand what you are saying. Yes your right......its up to the individual to chose his or her path to god or not. good example though with the murder and thieves. can anyone tell me what 'sehaj' means? i dont want a long definition. keep it short and simple so i dont get bored lol
  4. after reading your comments i can honestly say that there should only be one method and descriptions, explanations of sikhi aspects (amrit for this conversation) but evryone is being told diffrent things. This does not help sikhi at all. This is what I have been told about amrit: Although Guru Ji asked and not ordered 5 heads, it was because they knew that those 5 sikhs were going to get up. Akaal Purkh had sent the Guru's to start a knew Panth. Amrit is very vital to take. why? well why did Guru Ji create it then? if it wasnt important to take then Guru Ji would not have created it. As far as the kes is concerned.........It is for purity. keeping our bodies pure and clean. I have got facts to prove my comments but it is too long and i would have to type it. find the truth. you say that sikh is a sikh, there should be no sehajdhari, kesadhari or amritdhari.......well this does not mean that you are diffrent from each other it just shows what stage you are at in sikhi life. as far as im concerned.........if you are born in a sikh family then you r a sikh whether you cut hair or drink etc when you take Guru Ji da amrit then you become singh and Kaur

I live in east london I do weight lifting, gatka, play football, enjoying modifying my car and i Love SIKHI. (reinsbhai, kirtan, seva etc) I wear a dumala and have got dhari. Iv been practicing sikhi for 3years now.......Im just waiting for Guru's Amrit to take me. Our sikh history is making me get more and more into sikhi. Remember...........Guru Ji has given us sikhi for free...we haven't given any Kurbani.....We are very Lucky Gurfateh
  6. the topic speaks for itself. iv been practicing sikhi life for 2 years now. i do everything that amritdhari's do except i have not taken amrit. knowing that i haven't taken amrit, am i stil allowed to wear a kanga in my dastaar?
  7. i think that this whole topic is losing its balance. its suppose to be about sikh girls being converted into muslim girls. Overall i think that this is a very modern society, sikh gals know what and how a muslim boy looks like and would know how they approach sikh girls in order for them to succeed in converting them into muslims. Yet, sikh girls still fall for it. I once had a muslim girl that tried to and asked for me to convert into islam. All i offer to other religons is friendship. I told her to f*** off. I love sikhi and despite living in Kal Yug, im here to protect my sikh sisters. There is only one woman and man for every one as i see it. Sikh boys arent all that good either. they play just about every single girl there is. My point is, muslims will try anything to convert especially sikh females into islam. So please my sikh sisters, be careful. P.s. i did not mean any offence to anyone
  8. WJKK WJKF This is what was said in an article. Im going to take the relevant points out 'Baba Ram Singh who was a freedom fighter (naamdhari's 12th Guru), communicated with th sangat through letters he sent them whilst imprisoned as an exile in Burma....."Brothers, after the Ten Patshahis, Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Guru and Eternal. There is no other Guru (letter No. 44). Accept Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the Guru manifest (letter No. 36). Make offerings to Shabad Guru....Don't refer to me as Siree Maharaj (letter No. 40). I am not the Guru (letter No. 38)". The Naamdharis are so misguided that they don't even acknoledge and respect the words of the very man they claim to be so devoted to; instead they positively go against his wishes' That is the quote that I had read. I was told by a Sant that, Guru Gobind Singh Ji had told the sangat that all of their family and relatives would become shaheeds because that way no-one will come back claiming to be the next Guru. That is why the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was Created,.......to be the 11th and final Guru. Well...that is what I was told........by a Sant. WJKK WJKF
  9. WJKK WJKF somebody came to me and asked me, "if naamdhari's do not follow the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, then why do they attend the nagar kirtans from behind the Guru Granth Sahib Ji?" I did not know what to say to my frind. Could someone tell me the answer so i would understand and can tell my mate. To my knowledge, if naamdhari's are going to attend the nagar kirtans, then the radhasoamis, nirankaris and dehdharis might aswell come. they do not follow satguru's teachings so why they attend for? wasn't it the radhasoamis and dehdharis that killed the sikhs in 1984? along with indian government? Reply back please WJKK WJKF
