  1. Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji visited Kenya before Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji was known to the sangat of Kenya. It was many years later on the arrival of Sant Baba Mani Singh Ji that Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji came known to the sangat. Sant Baba Mani Singh Ji on his visit to Kenya was the one who blessed Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji. Even in England during the late 70' when both Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji and Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji where there they never met. Why this was I do not know.

  3. A few questions which i need answers to. If any one can help i would be grateful. Please could some one tell me a clear definition of each: 1) What is the difference between Spirtual and Religious, or is it the same thing? If not the same then 2) How can i become or spirtual? 3) How can i become more religious? 4) What quailities should a sikh have to live a balanced life in this point in time considering all that is happening in the world today. I know about Miri & Piri, how Guru Hargobind Jee prescribed we should? But How do you when you have reached the right balance.

  6. The golak was introduced by Guru Arjan Dev Jee. The story that i have been told, was that Guru jee had left the darbar and gone to meet the sangat at Harminder Sahib. When he had left someone had placed a white sheet were Guru Jee was sitting and told the sangat to place their donations here. On Guru Jee's return, he saw what the sangat was doing and asked he had told them to this. When he found out who it was he told them that what he had done was extremely wrong. He had said that i collected the donations for you. Guru Jee said I do not need or what the donations collected from the sangat for my personal use. Donate the money equally to the sangat and buy provisions for the Langar kana. Guru Jee then decided upon having a golak to collect donations for the Langar Kana and sangat. Following Guru Arjan Dev Jee the Guru's used the golak to fund different projects.
  7. Baba Jee was invited by the Kenyan Government to meet the Queen Mother on her tour of Kenya In the late 1970's. While he lived in Kericho(Kenya) he helped the local community in many ways suchas giving food, donating money to the local schools, employing people at his factory of Kericho Wagon works. In return the local community named the town square after him as Puran Singh Square. Now at Baba Jee's residence, a gurudwara has been built. When Baba Jee arrived in England in 1975, he organised along with the Jatha the first smagam to be held in London at Mangat Hall in July 1976. He helped sikhism to be recognised as a religion when a sikh boy from Birmingham took his head master to the High Court for not allowing him to wear his turban to school as it was not part of the school uniform. The High Court Judge ruled that Sikhism is not a cult but one of the major religions of the world. After the attack at Shri Harminder Sahib, the British Government invited Baba Jee along with our prominent Sikhs to a dinner at 10 Downing Street. To show their support to the sikh people. He also held numerous Amrit Sanchars at the main Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha gurudwara in Birmingham from 1976 to 1982, baptising 100's of sangat yearly. The Jatha since Baba Jee passed away came under the guidance of Bhai Sahib Bhai Nourang Singh Jee who initiated the Kar Sewa of Shri Harminder Sahib, built a gurudwara at Baba Jee's pind of Gura in India. He also initiated the building of the Main astaan of the Jatha on Soho Road Birmingham. The guidance of the Jatha is now under Bhai Sahib Bhai Mohinder Singh Jee, who completed the Kar Sewa of Shri Harnider Sahib, he has now started work fitting filters in to the tank to clean the water. He has also carried out Kar Sewa at Shri Anandpur Sahib, Shri Kesgarh Sahib, and is currently extending the main astaan at Soho Road.
