  1. I am looking to do sangat of Mahapurushs and I'm openly asking if someone knows or already does sangat of Gurmukhs, please let me know. You are also free to send me a personal message. If the respected Gurmukhs reside in Surrey or lower mainland area of B.C, Canada, then that would be great.
  2. Does anyone have the contact information of the following mahapurshs or any other person in their Dals: Baba Avtar Singh ji Bidhi Chand Dal Baba Joginder Singh ji Budha Dal Baba Gajjan Singh ji Baba Bakala Sahib Baba Nihal Singh ji Harianvelan
  3. This matter needs clarification. Should we capitalize "Vedanta" terms whenever they are mentioned in our writing or not? Doesn't matter if they are mentioned once or a hundred times, the question would still be the same. Of course if starting off with that particular term, it would be capitalized but I'm talking about when we build upon those words and need to provide references to them again and again. Also, which widely known/unknown words of importance are always to be in capitals when we speak of Gurmat. There seems to be no display of superior/inferior words in writing and it's just an "anything will do" thought. Many authors and other's work is chaotic in this sense.
  4. Yeah, I understand now. Darshan is gifted, not taken by force. We can obtain their darshan, only with their kirpa alone. They do give guidance to true seekers. Heavy karmic load plays a big part, and the only way that can be eradicated is through Naam di kamaayi. I think what you're trying to get at is standing ground rigidly with complete faith, in every stage of the Naam Abhyasi Jeevan. All things rest upon Gurparsad.
  5. If anyone does bachan with Abhyasi(s), how much bhagti did they do to get darshan of a Sachkhandvasi Brahmgyani. In reality, is it extremely difficult or moderately difficult?
  6. Anyone willing to share incidents of great mahapurakhs in Hardiwar? Many times I've heard from people and in kathas that there are countless Brahmgyani Mahatamas residing in Hardiwar, has anyone had darshan?
  7. Is it safe to focus on the Ajna chakra while doing Waheguru jaap? Last time I focused very hard on it, I didn't feel like engaging in any worldly task and just wanted to sit and recite the lords name. There was a lot of pain all over my forehead; physically and mentally I wasn't doing well. There was a lot of fear I was experiencing that I wouldn't be able to recite God's name. Spiritually speaking I had never experienced something like that in my life. I think it was equally good and bad experience. So much intoxication, your mind is just immersed in Waheguru. Losing all consciousness of your body. It was something I want to experience again. Any thoughts?
  8. I am trying to do sava lakh paath of thir ghar baiso har jan pyare shabad. I can do abhiyas of the shabad out loud, quietly like a whisper, and with just moving my lips and tongue and no noise coming out from my mouth. Which is the best way to sidh the shabad?
  9. My question is how do some gursikhs manage to do 33 malas of a shabad at Amrit vela. The shabad is Thir ghar baiso har jan pyare. I recited the shabad and was timing myself. In one minute, I could do 3 repetitions of the shabad, and I was going very fast. If I do the complete abhiyas, then in about 6 hours, I would have done 1,080 jaap of the shabad. How do these Gursikhs manage 3,564 recitations? That is like doing 594 recitations in an hour compared to 180 recitations if we are finishing the abhiyas in 6 hours.
  10. When I read a shabad and there's a ਨ most of the time when it comes out of my mouth it seems like a ਣ For example ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ seems like ਕਰਾਵਣਹਾਰ when actually saying it How careful do I need to be regarding this or is it acceptable to some degree
  11. Sat Sri Akaal Basics of sikhi is doing very good and the management is in very good hands of bhai jagraj singh's wife and the other singhs that have been there with bhai jagraj at the start or have recently joined this initiative to educate people about sikhi. The visions that Bhai Jagraj Singh had for Basics of Sikhi are becoming true over time and I hope the will continue to prosper. Another Sikh organization that I would recommend that you'd look into would be "manukhta di sewa sabh ton waddi seva" They post videos and show the conditions of people that they've helped, not to brag, but to encourage people like us to help the needy. There was a person in one video of theirs and his name was "Jammatu" He had been imprisoned for 40 years inside the house of a prominent sardar who was also the sarpanch of the pind for a long time. "Jammatu" who was from Bihar, was found on a road so the sardar basically took him to his house and made him work for free. He wasn't given a proper bed to sleep on, he drank chaa in a tank that contains spray for the khets and was not mentally capable of interacting with other people. He wasn't treated like a human at all. They fed him in a bowl that a dog eats in. While the manukhta di sewa guy was telling the sardar and his wife that he was going to take jamattu away, the bowl that jammatu ate in was placed on the ground as usual and now the dogs were given food in the same bowl. There are lakhs of people in Punjab that are imprisoned like this and it makes me proud to say that people's blood that had turned to water is rising once more and people don't tolerate this type of stuff now.
