  1. Men and women are Equal. Gurbani tells us to see God in every heart, and see that He is our True Husband. At some point, humans decided that mean are higher than women, when Gurbani teaches pure equality. Look at Mai Bhago, the perfect example of a woman. Our different Janams, our different sexes in janams are symbolic of this. We are ever changing. Only the Truth remains. Why worship a fleeting shadow when the King of Kings is the only being that remains, the only reason we wake up, eat food, breathe air, walk amongst the trees etc. Life is temporary. See God in your husband and wife, love them, respect and cherish them but don’t be attached to them. Don’t worship And get attached to a temporary body when image is an illusion. Live free of the illusion and if you want to worship, worship All as God. The men on here are getting it twisted to what they want the meaning to be. Mool Mantar sums everything up, God is One, His name is Truth, there is no other.
  2. The husband should do the same for the wife. Many husbands beat the living daylights out of their wives, abuse their children etc. What of them.
  3. I think people naturally find this site as they’re meant to at the moment. I like how there’s basically no rif raf or emotionally abusive people on here. Extremely rare, esp compared to some sites like sikh Sangat where some of the people are really rude and awful
  4. @ guest Em Kaur, Try doing normal excericse, running, weights etc coupled with vinyasa yoga and Pilates if You feel that the kundalini yoga Is too extreme for you.
  5. Well, you’re on the right path. Experiences like that propel you forward, giving you encouragement. Regarding the Love, you’ll experience it for yourself. The more you practice Gurbani in your life, including daily life, the more you’ll recognize the love. It’s always there, we just often don’t see/acknowledge or accept it. Do naam simran from 12.30am. 2.5 hours is recommended...you’ll go into deep samadhi and knock out while doing it. But do at least half an hour. Relax and hear the ringing sound (Anhad Naad), and let the samadhi/deep meditation take you. Read Guru Granth Sahib, and understand it... it’s there for your taking, it’s all you need, esp mool mantar. Practice Truth/gyan of gurbani during your daily life.. be good to others, kind, compassionate, forgiving without enmity, strong willed, fight until you win when you should, be a Warrior Spirit and a Good Soul.
  6. Look at many of the babas who try and teach, and then fall. It happens so often. I’ve seen naam used for the ego and more many times. Hence the path is sharper than a sword. Very few stay truth stay on the path, but those who do are a bright light in the universe.
  7. Some people use naam for selfish negative deeds. Look at Prophet Mohammed and some of the Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Many fall due to lust, lust for power, greed, anger, attachment, etc. Naam, simran can destroy you when you fall down the deep dark well of desire. However, walking in the straight and narrow path, applying Gurbani to your life, not being Seduced by Maya, you can live a life of contentment and Chardi Kala.
  8. I agree with what you say. The bhagat needs everything, yet she/he needs Nothing. Heaven is positive, hell is negative, there is Dukh and sukh, angel and demon. Without practicing Truth, it’s duality. In practicing Truth, it’s all Truth, Nothing, Love, Him.
  9. I believe gurbani. The khel is beyond logic. Everything is Karam and everything is a khel, derived from Nothing. If one goes to hell, it’s Karam. But in reality hell is an illusion as is the khel. It’s beyond logic. We cannot comprehend it, using worldly logic... it can only be experienced and felt. And the path of Truth discovery never ends. Try reading and applying the gyan of gurbani to your life (Truthful living) and taking to long simran sessions from 12pm onwards. Go deep into your samadhi and discover it.
  10. Read all of Gurbani, in its entirety, the gyan is there for the taking. It’s priceless.
  11. He IS His Creation, and yet he remains detached from it in Truth. Dukh and Sukh are two sides of the same coin, ie Him. That’s why it’s duality. When you recognize the pain and pleasure, slander and praise to all be Him, them you’re free as you recognize the Truth. That’s detachment. It’s all khel, all is Karam. Naam is Truth, it’s God. Without Truth, all is an illusion, it’s temporal, subject to death and destruction, whereas Truth is Eternal. It has no image, no form, no color, only pure unconditional love.. a frequency beyond which mortals can comprehend. He Knows who He is... He knows He’s Truth, ie Sat. It’s us who wonder for ages in the illusion that we are seperate. When the drop is in the ocean and the ocean in the drop. Nagar mėh āp bāhar fun āpan parabẖ mere ko sagal baserā. 14. Every single being in the Universe is in search of Truth/Him. Many in ego refuse to recognize Him, without realizing that they wake up to the Sun that is Him, sleep in His moonlight, eat the food that is Him, sleep in the bed that is Him, speak to friends who are Him, and dress themselves in clothes and deem themselves to be beautiful, when All is Him. We are One, whether we are in the darkness of ignorance or not.
  15. He feeds us Dukh and sukh. Gurbani tells us that pleasure is the disease and pain is the remedy. The angel is him, the demon is him. Once we recognize this, we can live behind Fear and experience Only Love. We don’t accept negative forms. We accept that they are Him. Hence what can we fear, for we see him in different roops, different costumes. Then we are able to Live and Let Live, because it’s all Karam, it’s all His Hukam. The universe is as it’s supposed to be, perfect in each moment.
  16. To be a bhagat, you need to recognize the dark and light as God. Love is the reality, and it’s the good and the bad, the Dukh and the Sukh. The reality isn’t all just beauty and sunshine. It’s both the dark and the light for All is Him.
  17. You’ll know when you’re ready for it. You need to leave duality behind and realise that the world is an illusion, it’s all just God, ie Nirboah and Nirvair. Fall in Love with Him. Then it’s not just a kundalini awakening, it’s Love.
  18. You weren’t ready for it. Practice naam and applying gurbani more. I found that after my kundalini rose naturally and I was applying the gyan of gurbani to my life properly, doing naam simran properly etc, ie when my faith became unshakable, I did it again and it’s amazing. When I practiced kundalini yoga many years ago and had the rising, I wasn’t ready and hadn’t pushed through and become stronger in my faith and life yet.
  19. With Gods grace of course, because there’s Nothing without Him.
  20. Lol I’m a bhenji. You’re truly not missing out on anything. Sometimes, it can take falling down that well of negativity and pain, to fully appreciate the light. And so we lift ourselves out of the darkness and into the light with a greater force. Hence Dukhi, pain can be a blessing, as I have learned.
  21. True. For me, drinking alcohol felt like drowning in a deep dark well of negativity. I wouldn’t go back there. Good for you on being sober too.
  22. You just have to rise above it, and stay true to yourself.
  23. True. Look at Guru Nanaks family. True about friends and family. I’ve been literally shamed, ridiculed, humiliated, bullied etc because I don’t drink. Our extended families are known to be drinkers, the men and women. For them it’s a shame not to drink, as it’s said to be part of the family name. I’m a female and I’ve felt it a lot.
  24. Sad you went through that.. amazing that you are okay now. My relative sadly passed away of alcoholism and my other relative was an alcoholic and now sober. They went to aa, therapy, do paath and mindfullness meditation early in the mornings, excercise A lot daily. Yoga is a miracle too, try it. You know more than I do what to do because you’ve been through it.
  25. That’s a tricky one. You need a therapist for sure I would suggest. Yoga is known to help addictions.
