Bro I am proud of your positive attitude, keep it up, I am sure you will.
And if you do not mind, just my 2 cents with a comment on a line in your post above.
That is when you say: This is the way the Lord SATNAAM designed me.
Waheguru Akal Purukh made all of us equal as souls, as drops from Himself the unfathomable Ocean. But then, the soul in associtaion with the mind, has commited all types of karmas, and each one of us according to our own karmas, have got a particular destiny to go through, due to those karmas, we are born in a particular kaum, a particular mazab, a particular country, a particular family, with all our ups and downs, which are different in each jeeva, different mental levels, absolutley all that we have or to go through, is due to karmas, and then how we react in our present lives, is again a basis for our future existence... good, bad, pain, sorrow.... even mukti.
It is mother Nature, who wisely acording to own karmas, give us praticular circumstances in our births, in order to better settle those our very karmas, and all this is rigorously followed by Nature under His Hukum.
But not that, Waheguru Akal Purukh, Himself designs someone to sin, or to be virtous, all that is done by oneself under the influence of the mind, but Bro, never by God Himself.
If there is such a God, then I do not need Him, but thankfully, Waheguru is not like people pretend Him to be, He is an Infinite Ocean of mercy and love only, anything nonsense thrown upon Him, is just deep ignorance, which of course will never reach Him, for He is far beyond the reach of Maya and Kaal.
That is why He is Parbrahm, that is why He is Akaaaal Purukh.

Bro, yes one can for sure talk to God, and He does listen, even knows about our thoughts without being expressed.
And the other thing you say, that the information is wrong...believe it, it is nothing but a mental engaged chatting, and mind is the biggest hurdle between us and Him, for He can never ever be wrong, He is the Infinite Ocean of Truth and wisdom.
The Lord God does talk to us, but the thing is, our spiritual ears are filled with the wax of our karmas, and our spiritual vision is clouded with the dirt accumulated since we left Sach Khand and stepped into this mayavee creation.
And to remove these layers of dirt, of mud upon us, we have to use the soap of His Naam, and the water of His grace, without which, whatever one may do, howsoever popular amongst the people as religious practices, nothing, absolutely nothing can remove it.
The Bani says: Ekas(Naam) bin sabh dandh jae.
We may howsoever do our mamat, be it for 24/7, but Gurmat, is simple and very straightforward, on each Ang, if only it stresses upon anything, that is His Name, the only Reality, the only Truth.
And unless we rub our mind with that Truth, through His Simran, we shall remain deluded that we have spent so much time in doing so many things, so I must have achieved something.
But the fact is, we have not moved even an inch towards Him.
The thing is, since we were born, we have seen so many things done by the vast majority, so we believe that all that is valid, but the thing is, if we stop even for a second to check all those practices of ours within the context of Gurbani, of Gurmat .... it will not match at all.
I am sure, many will arise their voices and protest that so and so called sants, so and so gyanis have said and written so and so practices ....
I care a 5hit for it, for if anything is to befollowed and practiced with love and devotion, that is the cleansing devotion towards Waheguru, with the repetition of His Name.
What others think or believe is very much of their own freedom, but for me, that only is valid, whosoever may be, if it only tellys 100% with the teachings in Gurbani.
The main objective of Guru Sahiban and Bhagat Jan to come at our lvel, was not to get name or fame for them, but get us freed from the unending cycle of births and deaths, by the practice of the Simran of His Naam, the only eternal and unchanging universal Truth for all times/yugas.
    God bless you, Bro.

Found this video, which touches several interesting points/useful information for whoever practices meditation, not that I agree with the method of Kundalini, but,  there are many common points which are good knowing or we are not aware of, for those as said  who engage in spiritual practices.
Though the video may seem a bit long  and thus one may not feel like watching it, but I do sincerely encourage anyone to watch it, there is nothing to loose.
    Thanks.

Why Do Hindus Hate Sikhs For?
I would say, the whole world is crazy/mad.
Each and every follower of the different dharams on this earth has hatred for others.
And not because the dharams are right or wrong, that is a different matter, but because of intolerance and ego, thus a heavy cover of ignorance covering their budhi.
The fact is, nobody has seen that highest supreme Truth, be it in any dharam, not with their physical eyes, but with their inner spiritual faculty of seeing within.
Had anybody seen that supreme Truth, would have realized that it is the One same Light which shines within all.
It is under the dirty polluted mind, that man commits atrocities against their fellow human beings.
Why the hell trying to convert or force others to bring them into our dharam?
Each one has his/her own load of karam on their heads, nobody can increase or diminish it, let everyone believe or not believe, in what way will it profit us.
We have not yet saved our souls for we ourselves are weak, so why the hell to change others? Utter madness.
Then too people say we are religious and we will go to heaven ... What a nonsense ....
The spiritual path is individual not collective as the fools try to convince others ... Then, what the hell can anyone do for others, isnt that madness?
We are responsible of destroying this planet with all our petty mindedness, with our wars, conversions, hatred, killings, as seen in the past and as well as in the present days, and for sure it will continue so.
We do not know how to live in peace and respect towards others, we blindly laugh at others, and thus spread hatred and anger in others, this in return creates violence and as a consequence of it, wars, disputes, killlings ....
If anybody wants to be muslim, let them be.
If anybody wants to be a hindu, let them be.
If anybody wants to be a christian, let them be.
If I want to be a sikh, it is my problem, not of others.
If anybody wants to go to hell, or heaven, let them go, for in no way can anyone change anybody´s fate.
The main thing is to stop being so petty minded, and start being better human beings.
Nature has created every being and placed them in their own natural circumstances, so let us not be foolish and go against Nature.
I was just recalling @Lucky Jee´s post some days back, for when he faced yam doots in the inner realms, he was not asked to which race or country or dharam did he belong ... but only if he had done Nam simran.
And for this very reason, he was spared and sent back to earth to make out something(Nam simran) which really matters, in order to acquire salvation of his soul, and which he is doing diligently as a top priority in his present life.
Not that he is running away from his worldly duties, but has realized that human life is very precious, and not to be lost so cheaply, and that the only devotion which is accepted in His darbar is Nam kee kamaee.
Bhaee parapat manukh de hureeya, Gobind milan kee yeh tayree bareeya.
That much importance is of human life, to only realize Him.

All incarnations of Vishnu Jee or any other trinities or gods even .... are not the saviours of any souls, they have a particular role to play assigned to them, as for example, the incarnations of Vishnu come for the sole purpose of restablishing righteousnes, or say Dharam, and that´s it.
Whosoever adores or venerates them, will only reach Swarg or Baikunth at most.
For the salvation of the souls, if there is any entity to make it possible, it is as seen in Gurbani, is the GURU.
That is why Guru Jee tells us: mat koee bharam bhoolay sansar, Bin SATGURU koee na utras paar.
The main difference between Gurmat and any other paths, is that, while others depend on their different divinites manifested at different times during any of the 4 Yugas, in Gurmat, we only depend on the aid and guidance Guru Jee, be it in any Yuga.
Some may not agree, but that is only relative, for as sikhs of the Truth, we have to only understand and follow what Guru Jee or the highest Bhagat Jan tell us in Gurbani.
All incarnations or physical manifestations of any divinity come to our level. either to confuse us with their powers, or as Guru Sahiban and Gurmukh Jan come, to remind and reveal us the Truth of the true Aad Guru, Jugad Guru, Sree Guru Dev, which is also known as Satnam, Sachee Bani, Anhad Shabad, Amrit Bani or even more clearly "Shabad Guru", who is the True everlasting and eternal Guru, which Waheguru Akal Purukh has kept within each one of us in equal manner, irrespective of our color, caste creed or nationality.
As said, Guru Sahiban direct our attention to this Shabad Guru, who was with us before we were even born, and will be with us when we leave this world or any other mayavee plane with all the physical forms behind.
Now, how to manifest this Shabad Guru within us?
Third Patshahee Sree Guru Amar Das Maharaj tells us : Nam jiskay man vaseeya, vajeh Shabad ganere.
He says. when we meditate on that Nam/Satnam, it will manifest its divine melodies within us, an by holding on to them we shall cross each spiritual plane to finally reach and merge in the only existing supreme Truth of Satnam.
At other place Guru Jee clearly tells us: Jap man SATNAM, sadaah SATNAM.
The thing is, we keep on looking here and there too much and get impressed by these outer and petty things in comparion to Guru Jee, and we read the Bani like parrots without seeing what it is telling us to do, thus we we are strongly entangled by our "manmat".
Salvation is only possible by understanding and putting into practice what Sachee Bani tells us to practice as per means of devotion. not otherwise.
Anyhow, I will never blame anyone for their shortcoming, for as said in the Bani, only those wadbhagee jeevas, who are pulled by Him, are the fewer ones who will follow the teachings in Gurbani, the rest of the poor jeevaas, what can they do?
If He the creator, does not pull their strings, for somehow or other He wants Hs creation to keep running, otherwise if it was that simple to return to Him by our will and efforts, the creation will gradually come to an end, that is why so many Avtars come, so many gods, or godesses, different religions exist, and so on layers of confusing braham.....
But in spite of all this paraphernalia, Waheguru has given us His Gurbani, so that we  can attach our surtee to it, to cleanse ourselves throughly  and be receptive to His apaar kirpa, in order to get attracted to Him and finally merge in Him.
If any glory, that is only of Guru Jee and Waheguru Akal Purukh.

    Thanks Lucky Jee.
From your post, at least a couple of conclusions can be made.
First, that no matter how much paapee one can be, there is always mercy from His side, more than deserved by any of us.
Secondly, the very essence of Sikhee, which is the bhagtee of Naam japna to free ourselves from all our entanglements and above all, to stay out of the reach of Jam doots. (There where Nam abides, not even Kal Purush dares to come near).
In this sense, I will not add anything more, let each one make an inner self consciouss exam of oneself, and see if one is doing that bhagti, of which you are an example, a witness, and that which is the true devotion performed as mentioned throughout the Bani.
It is a mark of His grace also, that you are relating us what we all ought to do, and fear a bit at least, in doing any harm/misbehaviour of any type with anybody in His creation.
    Once again thanks.

Some info partly related to this thread started by the OP.
How Marijuana/Cannabis  Affects Your Mind and Body

Marijuana, weed, pot, dope, grass. They’re different names for the same drug that comes from the cannabis plant. You can smoke it, vape it, drink it, or eat it. Most folks use marijuana for pleasure and recreation.
Marijuana has mind-altering compounds that affect both your brain and body. It can be addictive, and it may be harmful to some people’s health. Here’s what can happen when you use marijuana:
    You Can Get “High”
It’s why most people try marijuana. The main psychoactive ingredient, THC, stimulates the part of your brain that responds to pleasure, like food and sex. That unleashes a chemical called dopamine, which gives you a euphoric, relaxed feeling.
If you vape or smoke weed, the THC could get into your bloodstream quickly enough for you to get your high in seconds or minutes. The THC level usually peaks in about 30 minutes, and its effects may wear off in 1-3 hours. If you drink or eat pot, it may take many hours for you to fully sober up. You may not always know how potent your recreational marijuana might be. That also goes for most medical marijuana.
It May Affect Your Mental Health
Not everyone’s experience with marijuana is pleasant. It often can leave you anxious, afraid, panicked, or paranoid. Using marijuana may raise your chances for clinical depression or worsen the symptoms of any mental disorders you already have. Scientists aren’t yet sure exactly why. In high doses, it can make you paranoid or lose touch with reality so you hear or see things that aren’t there.
    Your Thinking May Get Distorted
Marijuana can cloud your senses and judgment. The effects can differ depending on things like how potent your pot was, how you took it, and how much marijuana you’ve used in the past.It might:
Heighten your senses (colors might seem brighter and sounds might seem louder) Distort your sense of time Hurt your motor skills and make driving more dangerous Lower your inhibitions so you may have risky sex or take other chances You May Get Hooked
About 1 in 10 people who use marijuana will become addicted. That means you can’t stop using it even if it harms your relationships, job, health, or finances. The risk is greater the younger you start marijuana and the more heavily you use it. For instance, the odds of addiction are 1 in 6 if you use pot in your teens. It might be as high as 1 in 2 among those who use it every day.
You could also grow physically dependent on marijuana. Your body could go into withdrawal, leaving you irritable, restless, unable to sleep, and uninterested in eating when you don’t use it. Learn more about how to spot the signs of marijuana addiction.
    It May Impair Your Brain
Marijuana can make it harder for you to focus, learn, and remember things. This seems to be a short-term effect that lasts for 24 hours or longer after you stop smoking.
But using pot heavily, especially in your teen years, may leave more permanent effects. Imaging tests with some -- but not all -- adolescents found that marijuana may physically change their brains. Specifically, they had fewer connections in parts of the brain linked to alertness, learning, and memory, and tests show lower IQ scores in some people.
      Your Lungs May Hurt
Marijuana smoke can inflame and irritate your lungs. If you use it regularly, you could have the same breathing problems as someone who smokes cigarettes. That could mean ongoing cough with colored mucus. Your lungs may more easily pick up infections. That’s partly because THC seems to weaken some users’ immune systems.
    You May Feel Hungrier
Many people who use marijuana regularly notice that it boosts their appetite. They call this “the munchies.” Some research suggests that might help people with AIDS, cancer, or other illnesses regain weight. Scientists are studying this and whether it’s safe.
    It May Harm Your Heart
Marijuana makes your heart work harder. Normally the heart beats about 50 to 70 times a minute. But that can jump to 70 to 120 beats or more per minute for 3 hours after the effects kick in. The added strain plus tar and other chemicals in pot may raise your chance of heart attack or stroke. The danger is even bigger if you’re older or if you already have heart problems.
    It Intensifies Alcohol’s Dangers
More than 1 in 10 drinkers say they have used marijuana in the past year. Combining alcohol and marjuana at the same time roughly doubled the odds of drunk driving or legal, professional, or personal problems compared to drinking alone.
    Your Newborn Might Be Underweight
Mothers who smoke pot while pregnant face a higher risk of giving birth to underweight or premature babies. But researchers don’t know enough to say if those infants are more likely to grow up to struggle in school, use drugs, or have other problems in life.
Many of the same carcinogenic, or cancer-causing, compounds present in tobacco smoke are also found in burning marijuana. In particular, unfiltered smoke from joints contains higher concentrations of a class of chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) than does smoke from tobacco cigarettes. Since marijuana users generally inhale more deeply than tobacco smokers, they may be exposing their lungs to even higher levels of these dangerous substances. Preliminary research also suggests that marijuana smokers' lung cells contain higher levels of an enzyme that converts PAHs into a cancer-causing form. Thus, it is not surprising that several studies implicate marijuana smoking as a risk factor for lung cancer as well as for mouth and throat cancer.
Several reports have suggested that marijuana smokers are at greater risk than nonsmokers of developing cancers in tissues that come into contact with smoke, such as the lungs, mouth, larynx, pharynx, and esophagus.

The short-term effects of cannabis use
Everyone's response to cannabis differs and can vary from one time to the next.
When cannabis is used, it can:
Impair your ability to drive safely or operate equipment Cannabis can cause drowsiness, slow reaction times, lower your ability to pay attention and impair coordinationFootnote1 Using cannabis and then driving or operating equipment can result in an accident, serious injuries or death. Make it harder to learn and remember things Cannabis can impair your thinking, concentration, memory and decision-making, and can impact your ability to perform well on the job or at school.Footnote2 Affect your mental health Though cannabis can cause euphoria (a high) it can also cause anxiety or panic.Footnote2 In rare cases, cannabis can trigger a psychotic episode (not knowing what is real, experiencing paranoia, having disorganized thoughts and, in some cases, hallucinating).Footnote2 The long-term risks of cannabis use
Using cannabis frequently (daily or almost daily) and over a long time (several months or years) can:
Hurt your lungs and make it harder to breathe, if smoked Cannabis smoke contains many of the same harmful chemicals found in tobacco smoke.Footnote3 Affect your mental health Frequent use of THC over a long time increases the risk of cannabis dependence, also called: addiction cannabis use disorder problematic cannabis use It is also associated with an increased risk of developing or worsening disorders related to anxiety and depression. Using products with higher levels of THC (20% THC [200 mg/g] or more) such as resin, hash oil, wax and distillates further increases the risk of mental health problems over time. Stopping or reducing your cannabis use can improve your mental health.
As a general rule, by all means, one should avoid any consumption of narcotics/intoxicants, because their poisonous effects as seen above, strike the mind and making it even more stronger than what it already is.
Which means, a still bigger hindrance to overcome, for those who seek the Lord Waheguru.
It is only by killing the mind with the sword of Nam, that one gets liberation/mukti, for it is because of the mind since aeons/yugas we have been separated from our Father Waheguru, and roaming aimlessly in the wheel of 84.
But, if we ourselves give the mind total control over us, how the hell can we reach our True Home?
    Obviously never.
It is like adding more fuel to the fire, so naturally the fire will never extinguish.
And this fire will sure burn into ashes our opportunity as human beings for the purpose of reuniting our surtee with Waheguru, then who knows when the hell will we get a human birth among 8.400.000 species of lives.
Just imagine even an year spent in each of those lives, it is still 8.400.000 yearssssssss, then too no guarantee.
Aren´t we dumb and foolish, for wasting away such a golden opportunity, as a blessing upon us by Waheguru?

*Just an example, a daughter of a good friend of mine, started with weeds at the tender age of teens.... for 26 good years went on falling into the well of misery, staying on the streets, a life worse than that of a dog... had become almost a skeleton...one can well imagine all the pain and anguish caused upon her parents ....  they not knowing what will happen next moments .....
Then by His grace, nobody knows how, but it has been 3 years now she is out of it, has some job here and there, but yet the deep effects on her mind and heart are yet impossible to erase like aggressivity, loose of temper, no self confidence, sudden change of moods... she may take a whole life to recover...
All drugs/alcohols should be burnt away forever, for it turns a human being into a demon, into a beast ......breaking family ties, jobs, wealth, health, sense of equanimity, responsibility.....
Yet people take this devlish issue as something light or unimportant.....
    God save people.

Naam is my only belief. All of Gurbani just says REMEMBER GOD REMEMBER HIM THROUGH HIS NAAM. People don’t do that so instead they do endless ritual recitations of Nitnem and never progress on this path. To walk the path I’m walking takes incredible courage and honesty to one’s self and God. I am a mahapaapi and a saint at the same time. THIS IS WHAT IT IS. If you don’t understand, then please slander me. I love it, slander is my best friend. If you do accept just smile and nod and accept his beautiful and terrifying bhana. My life has been full of so much pain but I keep going. Suicide is never an option. I keep going and remembering the Lord. I am who I am. This is the way the Lord SATNAAM designed me. I love you all. In hukam, your brother.

SunnySingh reacted to GurjantGnostic in Can we use all the Religions in our spiritual effort?
You know islam is not only made up, but backwards, opressive and antithetical to Sikhi, the Bible, and is literally the definition of an antichrist religion? There is no opportunity to coexist.
You actually study any of these faiths, Sikhi included?

Ayo. I stalked the forums for a bit I knew you would reply Gnostic saab. Ive done research into Gnosticism too and the whole demiurge concept. Mind **** right there. But them quotes hit my soul. I was gonna close my account but it wasnt hukAm apparently because here I am replying. THE WORLD DOESNT LIKE GODS messages. So is it God thats in the wrong or the world? God never misled me even though his advice flew in the face of the worldly direction. I just had back to back dreams that confirmed who I am on a spiritual level and it blew my mind but all in Guru Nanak’s hukam. Can’t reveal everything. Couldnt even if i wanted to because ive become so balanced (i got a huge ego). The quotes are well placed thank you SatnaAm ji…. Not you Gurjant, you’re just a vessel like me. Haha. Jk. But yeah… My life looks so messed up on the outside (i occasionally indulge in cannabis and im a dropout) but inside im pure and KHalsa. Which again flies in the face of the typical “amritdhari” initiation thing. Khande batte di pahul forgive mE if i m wrong spelling that. Well anyways now I know who I am and know God has protected me thru every trial and tribulation because of that interesting dream and He even told me when I woke up that I should finish my degree after a long time out of school… Things are never as they appear… a lesson we all could be reminded of from time to time.
