  1. I think here ਸਾਂਈ is correct uchaaran. ਸਾਂਈ doesn't only mean owner but it is also another name of Vaheguru. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  2. Yes, if it helps us, it does deserve respect. But, I don't think it justifies bowing in front of photos. Please can you tell the story of this 'real' photo of Guru Nanak Sahib. Trimandeep Singh
  3. "Can you please swear on the life and health of your LOVED ones that you are being honest on this forum?" Paapiman Ji, one of Guru Sahib's hukams under 52 hukams was not to trust a person who swears in the name of loved ones. We may take it to the old context when Aurangzeb promised Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the name of Quran to let all Sikhs peacefully leave the fort and reach their destination but broke his promise. But still, Rehat is universal and not bound to time. We still are to follow 52 hukams sincerely (I am a fool and don't claim to be rehitvaan but all Sikhs have to follow hukams of guru sahib). A Sikh should neither believe in 'Kasam' nor practice this himself. One funny thing came in my mind just now. When I was totally strange to Sikhi and a pure Manmukh (still I am), me and my friends used to steal pens and leadpencils of our classmates in school when they were a new trend and if we were suspected, we would immediately say "If I'm lying, me or my family will die!" and they would leave us. We knew that it was just falsehood and no truth. We gathered a large collection in name of God though. Today, I regret doing that when I had Singh with my name. Anyways, main point is 'Kasam' is brahmanvaad. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  4. Yes, summarizing my opinion... All granths should be read and are worth doing vichar on. However, still they don't have the absolute truth and not perfect like Guru Granth sahib Ji because they contain some beliefs not in accordance to teachings of guru sahib. As Guru sahib is perfect, his teachings are also absolutely perfect and truth. Prophets of other religions like Jesus Christ, Muhammad Saab, Moses, Vishnu Ji and his avatars, all Devi devte are mahapurush. They contain many virtues and are in heavens enjoying various pleasures. However, they haven't conquered 5 mahabali and hence, no liberation. Also guru sahib says, "Iss Dehi ko simrey Dev" meaning even the devte yearn for the human joon. Hence, people who worship these prophets may reach heavens in Giaan Khand but cannot get liberated. Now talking about a non amritdhari who worships Vaheguru. If he does bhagti with full Prem and bairaag, then he may even reach Sharam Khand or not so sure, maybe Karam Khand. However, they still cannot be liberated as they haven't given their head to the True Guru. Most probably they will be born as humans again in the house of Sant Saadhu Sikhs. Third, if you take khande di pahaul, get naam from Guru Roopi Panj pyaare and don't keep Rehat and don't do Simran, then one should not expect getting a place in Sharan of Vaheguru. Also, one shouldnt do bhagti for Sachkhand. From Gursikhs, I have heard one should do bhagti only to get darshan of Vaheguru and not for only selfish purposes. ਨਾਮੁਅਮੋਲਕੁਰਤਨੁਹੈਪੂਰੇਸਤਿਗੁਰਪਾਸਿ॥ The Naam is a Priceless Jewel; it is with the Perfect True Guru. ਜਿਨਾਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੁਰਖੁਨਭੇਟਿਓਸੇਭਾਗਹੀਣਵਸਿਕਾਲ॥ Those who have not met the Primal Being, the True Guru, are most unfortunate, and are subject to death. ਓਇਫਿਰਿਫਿਰਿਜੋਨਿਭਵਾਈਅਹਿਵਿਚਿਵਿਸਟਾਕਰਿਵਿਕਰਾਲ॥ They wander in reincarnation over and over again, as the most disgusting maggots in manure. ************** This is my opinion in brief. And if you say that Satguru can also refer to any brahmgyani or non Sikh Mahapurush then please give any evidence from writings of Scholars and Teekakars. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  5. It's okay Bhai sahib. But from what Daas has heard, traditionally the uchaaran is ਤੁਅਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ only. Also, as WaheguruDaGulam Ji said, Bhagat Ji who was a student of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa also says ਤੁਅਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ. I have no problem in discussing these topics while being respectful to each other. However my thinking is that we are no scholars who can decide on an Online platform if it's bani or not. You will give me names of various Mahapurakhs and scholars and state their opinion and I'll do the same. When the Rehat Maryada says bhog can be done at Mundawni or Raagmaala, it's over. Guru Khalsa Panth has decided this. However, your concerns about a uniform Rehat Maryada also can't be just ignored. We need to accept this. Even various mahapurush had certain differences in interpreting important updesh of guru sahib. But, ultimately we all are under an umbrella of Khalsa Panth. I understand this but atleast we can point out obvious mistakes and current gutke sahib. And the changing of position of manglacharan is a really big thing. Atleast, the position was same in all puratan saroops. So, let's not be discouraged and help each other : ) Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  6. Please can you tell the whole story. Did Baba Nand Singh Ji give details of the face of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to a painter? I am not countering your point, but in my innocence, is it the truth? And even if the photo is real, we are not photo worshippers. It may help while remembering guru sahib during naam Simran but still why to bow in front of it? We bow before guru sahib and shastars, not photos. I would request you to clear this point. My above points may be wrong (except photo worshipper one). Kirpa karo ji Trimandeep Singh
  7. What? So you are saying cutting/removing hair from any part of your body is not allowed to any Sikh except those who have more facial growth than normal? Are you serious? And yes, a bibi who doesn't remove facial hairs is very chardikala bibi because she actually cares about Khushi of Guru Sahib and not kalyugis. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  8. Bhai Sahib, if that disease acts as a hindrance in bhagti then I don't think using medical technology to cure the disease or whatever will be against guru Sahib's hukam. We need to understand the play of Karam system under hukam of Vaheguru Ji. Some babies can be born with unusual body parts as a result of less care taken by mother or any other injury to mother or it may happen even though everything went right. In the first case, the injury was a result of 'sir mathe' karams and since the Karam has been exhausted, the child can be treated. However the mother needs to accept this as a will of God. In second case, the unusual parts of baby was a result of 'sir mathe' karams of this life and the Karam has been exhausted because he has been born with it. The treatment of child is a reaction to the karam. In the case of bibi, large facial hair growth is result of previous karam and her reaction to this should be acceptance and not doing 'chherh chharh' with body, because then it would be disrespect to Vaheguru Ji that your creation is not perfect. "Poore ka kiya sab kichh poora Ghatt Vadh kichh nahai" Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  9. Bhenji, can you please clear that you want hair removal because of some medical problems (surgery, skin medicines etc) or you fear you looking odd amongst many? If there's any medical problem, then I don't think it would make you a qurehtia. But doing a sehaj Paath for maafi will be recommended. If it's the second case (fear to face people) then my previous post has answered your question. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  10. Bhai sahib, it's just a consequence of large hair growth, more than normal women. Just like handicaps or people born in poor households, these hair growth problem is a result of bad karams that the bibi will be made a fun of by this kalyugi duniya. The bibi needs to accept this bhaana. Some people are born with unusual body parts. So, they are also not supposed to have these. But they need to accept this. But, how even a question can be raised? When Guru Sahib has clearly said dishonouring the hair is a bajjar qurehit then no instances and situations need to be mentioned. Hairs can't be removed/cut, simple. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  11. To me, being on the safe side is following the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib and taking guidance of a Brahmgyani who got a place in Sachkhand to interpret teachings of guru sahib. Raagmaala readers and non readers, both got a place in Sachkhand. That's it. And those 5 Brahmgyanis may also have differences in opinion. For Eg: Dharna way of Sant Isher Singh Ji is favoured by many but was also not recommended by Mahapurakhs because it involves singing of kachi bani in presence of Guru Sahib whereas Rehat Maryada allows Kirtan of 3 guru sahib written Granths and writings of Bhai Nand Lal and Bhai Gurdaas Ji. Still Sant Isher Singh Ji is in Sachkhand, right? Same with Nanaksar waale Mahapurakh. Many don't like having fake pictures of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in presence of Guru sahib prakash. But still Baba Nand Singh Ji is in Sachkhand, praising Vaheguru with 4 sahibzaade. My point is that all those 5 Brahmgyanis will have differences in opinion on certain matters which is a testimony to Infinite Glory and Beyond Intellect Understanding of plays of Guru Sahib. 12. Another great video of Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti Ji in which he tells about the negligence showed by SGPC towards spelling mistakes in SGPC published Gutka. Joginder Singh Vedanti Ji .mp4
  13. Here is what guru sahib says Bhenji ਮੁੰਧੇਤੂਚਲੁਗੁਰਕੈਭਾਇ॥ O woman, you must walk in harmony with the Guru's Will. ਚੰਦਨੁਮੋਲਿਅਣਾਇਆਕੁੰਗੂਮਾਂਗਸੰਧੂਰੁ॥ The bride may buy sandalwood oil and perfumes, and apply them in great quantities to her hair; ਚੋਆਚੰਦਨੁਬਹੁਘਣਾਪਾਨਾਨਾਲਿਕਪੂਰੁ॥ she may sweeten her breath with betel leaf and camphor, ਜੇਧਨਕੰਤਿਨਭਾਵਈਤਸਭਿਅਡੰਬਰਕੂੜੁ॥੪॥ but if this bride is not pleasing to her Husband Lord, then all these trappings are false. ||4|| ਸਭਿਰਸਭੋਗਣਬਾਦਿਹਹਿਸਭਿਸੀਗਾਰਵਿਕਾਰ॥ Her enjoyment of all pleasures is futile, and all her decorations are corrupt. ਲਖਸੀਗਾਰਬਣਾਇਆਕਾਰਜਿਨਾਹੀਕੇਤੁ॥ She may wear thousands of ornaments, but they are of no use at all. ਜਿਤੁਦਿਨਿਦੇਹਬਿਨਸਸੀਤਿਤੁਵੇਲੈਕਹਸਨਿਪ੍ਰੇਤੁ॥ On that day when the body perishes-at that time, she becomes a ghost. If one says, that it is important because of self confident issues, then guru sahib says Reminding us not to adopt ways of this world. You will look the most beautiful in this world and the world will look at you. This is guaranteed by Guru Sahib, ਵਾਹੁਵਾਹੁਕਰਹਿਸੇਈਜਨਸੋਹਣੇਤਿਨ੍ਹਕਉਪਰਜਾਪੂਜਣਆਈ॥ Most beautiful are those persons who chant Waaho! Waaho! ; people come to venerate them. If you follow hukam, ਗੁਰਕੈਭਾਣੈਜੋਚਲੈਦੁਖੁਨਪਾਵੈਕੋਇ॥੩॥ One who walks in harmony with the Guru's Will shall not suffer in pain. ||3|| ਗੁਰਕੈਭਾਣੈਜੋਚਲੈਤਾਂਜੀਵਣਪਦਵੀਪਾਹਿ॥ One who walks in harmony with the Guru's Will, obtains the supreme status of life. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਕੈਭਾਣੈਜੋਚਲੈਹਰਿਸੇਤੀਰਲਿਆ॥ One who walks in harmony with the Will of the True Guru, is blended with the Lord. Bhenji as a male, I may not understand your situation. But this is what Gurbani says about what you are talking about. May Guru Sahib give you strength Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  14. Sister, welcome to the forum. All the members have already explained so I don't have much to say. Just to add, we don't say God only exists in human form. He is omnipresent, pervading everywhere. It's just that to liberate fools like us, he had to take some form to reveal the divine message and tell us the way to get liberated. So he took human form and came upon this earth as Guru Nanak Dev Ji, our first guru. From then, the jot (light) of Vaheguru Ji in Guru Nanak Dev Ji kept on transferring between different bodies. Our 10 Gurus are immortal and beyond the cycle of birth and death but the human body (deh) is temporary so, the soul/light kept transferring from body to body and our last Guru in human form was our 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. (From Guru Granth sahib Ji) ਜੋਤਿਓਹਾਜੁਗਤਿਸਾਇਸਹਿਕਾਇਆਫੇਰਿਪਲਟੀਐ॥ They shared the One Light and the same way; the King just changed His body. Vaheguru is formless in whom we merge back and our 10 gurus are Vaheguru only but in different form. Our guru sahib currently viraajmaan (sitting on the Throne) is Guru Granth Sahib Ji who is 'Shabad Guru' of the Sikhs. We only believe in Vaheguru. Our first mantar, Mool Mantar describes him beautifully in just a few words. One Universal Creator God. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. He has No Fear. He has No Hatred. Image Of The Undying, Beyond Birth and Death, Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace. As Paapiman Ji said, we respect the prophets of other religions but don't worship them. Sikhism says that they were also the creation of Vaheguru. And we are supposed to worship the creator, not his creation, who is a small element of his wondrous plays. Please forgive any mistakes. Trimandeep Singh
  15. Bhenji, facial hairs and beard hairs are giving you medical problems or are you asking the allowance for treatment of facial hairs through medical technology? First thing, if you remain as it is and don't do any chherh chaarh with your body, you will remain healthy. A major reason for today's health problems to humans is consumption of processed stuff filled with all kinds of gandh. Today, people apply so many artificials to their skin like makeup which harms their skin. However, Guru Sahib has ordered Khalsa to keep dietary bibek and refrain from applying all kinds of decorating stuff on our bodies (makeup, jewellery etc). "Saabat Soorat Rab Di Panneh Beyimaan" If you have a mini beard, then instead of fearing the opinions and comments of this kalyugi duniya, take it as a challenge. If you successfully complete it, Guru Gobind Singh Ji will give you immeasurable amount of love! Just imagine Guru Sahib saying, "ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਧੀ ਆ" (She is my real daughter) You can also watch interviews and lectures of Bibi Harnaam Kaur who has full beard to know her perspective. (Don't look at her makeup and modelling stuff! These are Manmat). Just accept this as Guru Sahib's hukam. This is maybe a result of your previous life karams. If you cut/remove your hairs then surely you can't get liberation as you violated hukam and tried to escape that punishment. If you will be born again, you will again get the same punishment or maybe more severe than that. But if you adopt the attitude of "Tera Kiya Meetha Laage", you will be honored in the court of Dharam Rai. ਮਨਕਰਹਲਾਮੇਰੇਸਾਜਨਾਹਰਿਖਰਚੁਲੀਆਪਤਿਪਾਇ॥ O camel-like mind, my good friend, take the supplies of the Lord's Name, and obtain honor. ਹਰਿਦਰਗਹਪੈਨਾਇਆਹਰਿਆਪਿਲਇਆਗਲਿਲਾਇ॥੯॥ In the Court of the Lord, you shall be robed with honor, and the Lord Himself shall embrace you. ||9|| ਜਿਸੁਪਿਆਰੇਸਿਉਨੇਹੁਤਿਸੁਆਗੈਮਰਿਚਲੀਐ॥ Die before the one whom you love; ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁਜੀਵਣੁਸੰਸਾਰਿਤਾਕੈਪਾਛੈਜੀਵਣਾ॥੨॥ Cursed is one's life if one lives for this transient world ||2|| Do Ardaas and beg to Guru Sahib to give you the strength to fight this world and do Kamaayi of Sikhi. Guru Sahib Kirpa Karan Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  16. Bhai sahib, I equally respect Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Ji (didn't read Raagmaala) and Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji. I listen to Taksaal Kathavachaks a lot because they are very reliable and knowledgeable and quite chintak of the Panth. It's just that after doing research, I found AKJ points very logical and in line with Gurmat. Their arguments against the points given by those in favour are worth considering. However, I respect the sentiments and love of gursikhs towards this bani. I don't desire to change your opinion and neither my opinion will change. Let's end it here respectfully. I am charan dhoor of all the gursikhs here. I think it is the kautak of Guru Sahib only to make us know that even if one reaches the highest spiritual avastha, still no-one can know the ant (end) of their guru. Vaheguru! Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  17. Bhai sahib I have no problem in discussing about Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib Ji or Sri Sarbloh Granth Sahib or Raagmaala. I said that because people can do more vichar and give more inputs for doubts in uchaaran or vishraam of Aad Bani. This is because we all are comparitively more familiar with the vishraams and Gurbani grammar applied in Guru Granth Sahib and it is easier to do arth vichar. Dasam Granth Sahib has more mehnge shabd from various languages. Eg: Shastar naam maala question of Soulfinder ji. If you can answer his query, then it would be great! Doubts from banis of all granths are welcomed. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  18. I have heard that uchaaran and putting of bindis has been changed in many words by paathis of Jatha Bhindran after Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's achkhand gaman. One example is Sant Giani Mohan Singh Ji Bhindranwaale pronounced ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ as ਤੁਐਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ whereas traditionally in all sampradas, ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ was pronounced as ਤੁਅਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  19. Were these Santhiya tracks recorded after Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji went for Sachkhand? Because Daas has heard from many gursikhs that after Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji, the adding of bindi (when necessary to get correct meanings) was greatly reduced by paathis of Jatha Bhindran. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  20. Here are the PDFs of Larivaar Pothi and Larivaar Santhiya Pothi published by World Sikh Parliament. Research done by Bhai Amanjot Singh UK on handwritten puratan saroops of Guru Sahib. These were published on the occasion of 400th Gurupurab of Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur sahib ji. These contain all the baani of 9th Guru Sahib with correct spellings of Gurbani words according to puratan saroops. 21. Daas is pasting links of blogs by Bhai Manvir Singh UK who has done research on Mangals of bani. These blogs are related to the position of mangals in Gurbani, the mistakes which I highlighted in my first post under 'Example of Inaccuracy'. Sri Anand Sahib http://manvirsingh.blogspot.com/2021/04/sri-anand-sahib.html?m=1 Sri Jaap Sahib http://manvirsingh.blogspot.com/2021/04/historical-references-for-mangal.html?m=1 Sri Sukhmani sahib http://manvirsingh.blogspot.com/2021/02/beautifully-handwritten-sukhmani-sahib.html?m=1
  22. One thing I can say for sure that in the first pic, there's a bindi under ਸ in ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ which is wrong. In whole Dasam Granth Sahib, Dashmesh Pita hasn't placed any bindi under ਸ. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  23. @Soulfinderji, I think sangat here (including me) can't do much about Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji Baani. You can post mistakes in Aad Bani in Gutke and apps. I think sangat will be able to give more input on that. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
