    people seriously need to realise that Guru Sahib is not a rule book so often you hear people argue that something is ok because 'its not written in Guru Sahib', from the pov of Sikhi its a nonsensical argument. Guru Sahib isnt a story book either edit: I know its kinda random, but it bugs me... so meh.

    Gurbani is Brahm vichar - All of Guru Granth Sahib is derived from 'Waheguru' and the Mool Mantar and is an elaboration of these mantars. Maybe thats what they meant. According to Sikhi a bhrahmgiani is the same as God, Guru Nanak Devji was Bhrahmgiani at the least ...I would say that your question fails to acknowledge this fact.

    the point is that there are people in the mainstream lobbies with loud voices that actually believe this to be true. The picture is an example, not an absolute representation. Its the same with their rejection of the idea of Sant/Bhrahmgiani.

    A) - people of other religions will not understand Sikhi and may not treat it correctly, in terms of autocratic rule, they should not have power making a pilgrimage is to make a journey to a holy place specifically to get the fruit of visiting that place, and as such should not be done by Sikhs to non-Sikh places. Visiting is another matter altogether, and there is no prolbem with it.

    this is pranayam - like the stuff that guy does on aastha tv. ITs pretty ancient yoga, but its a physical thing, not a spiritual thing - and has nothing to do with Sikhism really. Though that doesnt make it wrong...

That is the one most importatn aim of Sikhi. Everything else you mentioned is simply good manners.

    by 'right' i meant to use it honestly, not for the sake of doing 100 mala to make yourself feel proud. Do it for the love of simran. I dont know any jugtia...i dont think they are so important with mala.

    the definition of sant is jin saas giraas na visray Har nama man mant dhan se seiy Nanaka pooran seiy sant. In the past, if I recall correctly, sants usually emerge as they are recognised in their seva by other sants, that is, the ones that are not gupt. E.G. Sant Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib was tested by Baba Nand Singh Ji Kaleranwale. Im not sure where 'sant' Ranjit Singh got his title from, possibly the sangat, but IMO he is not a sant.

    hopefully one day we'll be able to make a MMORPG using the WoW or Elder Scrolls engine which could intoriduce the aspect of bhagti into the game ...I dont see Sikhs getting into that though... <.< we couldnt even get an irc channel goin

    sikhism is a way of life - it has nothing to do with where you're from these girls may be from 'sikh' families, but they are not sikhs

    true goria accept you for who you are way more than asian girls do. Fact - all my female friends are white, Asian-oriental, and black, and a couple of Arabs and a Pakistanis. Indian girls look at you like dirt.
